Christine Powell

I see all of the positive reviews about this doctor, but she is not my doctor and I am thankful for that! She is my Mother's doctor. My mother, who is 76, went to see her yesterday for what she thought might be an allergy related problem with her eyes. She was supposed to have a knee replacement this morning and wanted to be sure it was not something she needed to be concerned with going into the surgery. Her appointment was at 3:30. She was right on time and was able to get back to see the doctor with no wait. After going over her symptoms and telling my mother that she was going to contact the surgeon's office and would be back in a few minutes, the doctor left my mother, waiting in the room for over an hour an a half. in that time, my mother looked out in the hall and saw the doctor and asked if she had heard anything but the doctor ignored her and went into another patient room and closed the door without even acknowledging my mother. Then she left for the day without ever stepping foot back into the room with my mother. My mother left the room to find a janitor and one nurse left in the building. This is highly unprofessional and I believe it it also negligent. I am not happy that my mother was treated this way and will be lodging a formal complaint.

Sge has been my patience since here. Christina is the best Doc I have ever my Doc.

Dr. Powell is an amazing doctor. She takes the time to listen to her patients and help them. I highly recommend her.

I needed to re-establish with a PCP and wanted to try Dr. Powell because I’d heard that her patients really like her. I had a great first visit. She addressed all of my concerns and came up with a plan that I can follow. Thank you for your care and concern for my health??

I will say it again; Dr. Powell is a great listener. She is easy to talk to, and treats me like an intelligent adult. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a primary care physician.

Dr Powell is a great doctor. She listens and spends time with me when I come in to her office.

She is my PCP and I like her but they never return your calls.......

She is always very understanding of the problems and run tests as needed. The time response for messages through MyChart is good.

Love Dr. Powell! I've been with her since 07/08. She's someone I feel I can truly trust, listens, and doesn't judge. She's very knowledgeable and kind. Fully recommended ????

My Visit With Dr. Powell And Her nurses Was Very Nice And Happy.

I’m happy for entrusting my wellness to Dr. Powell and her loving, caring, friendly and the best nurses I have come in contact with they really make me feel like family in my opinion!

Dr. Powell is amazing! She is patient and kind and truly listens and cares. Even when she wasn’t on my insurance plan, I paid cash to see her. She is the only doctor I will see.

Staff and nurses were excellent as usual. Dr. Powell is a top notch physician. Despite the number of patients she has scheduled, she is always both thorough and compassionate. I would highly recommend her for her professionalism and empathy.

did not have to wait long at all to get in to see the Doctor. She was very comfortable to be around. Very thorough and attentive, easy to talk to. It was my first time there and I will be happy to have her as my primary care physician.

Dr. Powell has been my MD for over 10 years plus and has always go over and above to help me in my needs. The last year and half has been very hard and traumatic she has been there every step of the way along with her staff and is still working with me thank you for everything you do.

We had Dr. Powell for a long time. She is always available whenever we need her expertise. She is friendly and professional in answering all our questions and addressing all concerns. Thank you, Dr. Powell!

Dr Powell has been my PCP since I moved to Tyler area. She has been amazing and has continued as my Dr even when I had insurance problems due to the marketplace. I highly recommend her.

My children (who are now grown), grandchildren as well as myself have Dr. Powell as our primary doctor. She is very gifted in the field of medicine. Never has she diagnosed us wrong...never! I have never trusted a doctor as much as I do her. We love her dearly and recommend her highly!!

She is not afraid to spend time with you and answer your questions. She also will talk to about different things that are going on in your life that you are dealing with. I would trade her for another Dr. I have 100% trust in her.

In office visit with Dr Powell, was simply great. Post visit problem with a prescribed medication via My Chart with Nurse Crystal L. Has been a Tim Halliburton Nightmare!

I am transgender. In East Texas, it's hard to find such an open and caring doctor to take care of me. She has been an all-star since day one. I can never thank you enough for always listening to me, and helping me. Dr. Powell not only hears what you say, but she takes your concerns seriously. Best doctor in ETX!

I am so grateful for Dr. Powell and her staff. It is so nice to find a dr. That listens and finds answers.

Dr. Powell has been my primary physician for several years now. I usually see her approximately every 6 months for followup on my various ailments. She listens and treats me as another intelligent adult. She is very willing to answer questions and decide with me on possible options for my care. She has no hesitancy in referring to a specialist if needed. I never have to wait very long, but know if I do, she will still spend an adequate amount of time with me.

She is amazing. She brings back the old bedside manner. She truly listens and you can see it on her face. Her nurses are amazing.

Dr Powell treats you like a person, not a paycheck. She's always been thorough and answers my million questions in a way that I understand. I'm always comfortable there and her staff is super nice.

The wait in this office is absolutely unbelievable. The long wait starts at the registration desk. One desk is for students only and the other desk is there for everybody else. I've never seen registrations take so long in a doctor's office. The next issue is that just because you made an appointment it doesn't mean that appointed time is yours and yours alone. I gave up and left 1 HOUR after my appointment time. And the appointment was 8:20 A.M. How do you get an hour behind by 8:20?

I'm in the minority because I did not have a good experience. Her bedside manner was lacking and she was not thorough in prescribing me the best medication to treat my depression and anxiety. I did not respond well to one antidepressant and she ended up prescribing me a drug that she originally said would make my anxiety symptoms worse. She also observed my neck and claimed my thyroid was "a little big" and neglected to tell me the implications of this and what steps I should take in seeking treatment. It's like I wasn't worth the effort. I would not recommend her. I'm in the minority because I did not have a good experience. Worst ever experience with a Doctor. She was the most uncaring &well called before going here &was told I could be treated .They love insurance...Didn't do anything except collect. Never again...

The thing I appreciate most about Dr. Powell is her undivided attention. She listens, and is very proactive about taking care of medical issues. I had HORRIBLE cystic acne, and in one visit she was able to help me get it under control. I also appreciate that the wait time is never long. I also LOVE her staff!

Dr.Powell has been awsome... Especially with my kids... She is a good listener and really seems to be well educated all around

My husband who suffers from ptsd went to Dr Powell recently as a last hope. He's been suffering from severe anxiety he filled out a questionnaire told the doctor everything he's been going threw she prescribed him lithium and two other major depression pills one she discontinued one right after it was filled. I've been married to this man for 12 years and he is not bipolar. Not once did she say the word bipolar or discuss medications with him. He needs to be on something for anxiety right now. He is not okay. She didn't nothing but discourage him. Now he won't go to another doctor. He needs help and I don't know what to do for him. Lithium is a serious drug and it's scary that doctors can just throw it at you without knowing for certain you are actually bipolar. I am so thrilled at the excellent service provided by Dr. Powell and her staff. The supporting staff has really made an improvement from 3 years ago. Dr. Powell goes above and beyond to adhere to each patient's condition and concerns. She is very attentive and listens to each and every thing that is being said while taking notes and providing the best care possible.

She diagnosed my husband with bipolar disorder after only talking to him for 10 mins. She gave him lithium and two other very strong depression medications. He is not bipolar or depressed he has ptsd and bad anxiety. He's 34 years old and has never been told he could be bipolar. She didn't even tell him she thought he was bipolar he only found out when he went to get his meds. I do not recommend this doctor. My husband is extremely discouraged now and won't go to another doctor now.
