Dr. David A Thomas

So in Aug 2021 I met with him . I had stroke in June. He offered no further testing to see what could have caused stroke. Automatically assumed it was due to HBP. The beta blocker he wanted to prescribe could have killed me due to one I have asthma and it clearly states do not take if you have asthma and two being my BP is already on a lower end. Most times being 100 over 60 or 70. I recently saw a dr in Jefferson who did her job and sent me for further testings I am now under care of hemotologist due to a higher platelets count. My new neurologist is awesome and very thorough. I had cholestrol checked and I needed to lower my LDL from 106 to go lower. She offered a statin but is working with me to first try djet changes. Most likely my strokewasduetosticky platelets, stress and inflammation nOT HBPlike he asssumed. He answered 2 calls at my appt, was rude and arrogant. I am blessed to have found my new dr and had enough sense to not take his word. TIME TO RETIRE

Horrible. Please don't waste your time. Intake nurse was rude. The doctor was very short in time spent. Contradicted himself 2nd visit. Didn't listen to what I said. I left very upset. The office never got back to me about an MRI. It sat going nowhere for a month. Called, got an apology and then never heard from them again about the MRI.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME! My 49 year old husband went to him on 6/24 with symptoms including an unsteady gait, tingling in legs, loss of balance and weakness in lower extremities. He came in without a pen, notes, chart, anything. He asked my husband some questions and did some strength tests. Left to "take a call from Florida." Told him he had a beer belly and a tight tool belt - he doesn't have a beer belly and doesn't wear a tool belt. Doc was sure that low B12 was causing the problem and ordered blood work. He scheduled a 4 week follow up and a neuropsych eval. We were told we would hear back about the bloodwork - never did. Blood was normal, so we went to an orthopedic doctor who had him get an X-ray before seeing him. Then had him get an MRI and referred him to a spine specialist at Rothman. He gets an epidural next week in L4 - the bulging disc at L4 includes all the symptoms my husband had 8 weeks ago. Doc told me we should've called to come sooner after bloodwork came

I initially saw Dr Thomas when I was diagnosed with adult ADHD. He put me on medicine and told me to call him with any questions, to see how it's working in a few weeks and we can adjust. I was on the medicine for two weeks with no results. I contacted his office FOUR time over a two week period with no return call from Dr Thomas. I then threatened to leave the practice and miraculously I receive a phone call back within 10 min. Dr Thomas did not even give me a second to talk. He said you need to be on the medicine for 6 weeks before we discuss any changes (this was not said during our initial visit), we can talk then, and then he hung up on me. I have never been so disrespected by a medical professional. I called back and requested my records be mail to me. I will be finding a new doctor. FYI Allison, receptionist, is wonderful and very empathetic. She apologies and wish me luck.

New adult adhd patient prescribed medication by Dr. Thomas. Called four times to discuss and no call back over a two week period. Finally got a call back after I threatened to leave the practice and he didn't even let me talk. Told me I need to be on medicine for 6 weeks before he will change anything (which was not explained in initial visit) and to call back then, he then HUNG UP on me without even letting me talk or ask a question. I was completely shocked. I called back and requested my files so I can find a new dr.

Dr. Thomas is a wonderful doctor and a very kind man. I would gladly recommend him to any of my friends or family.

Dr. Thomas was a nice man and probably cares about patients. However, his office staff is horrible...they do not help with any coordination of care or insurance protocols. The staff consistently asks patients to research medical billing for them to ensure they get paid. Additionally, they wanted to run two tests neither of them were covered approved protocols and they tried to charge me $2,000 for each test without explaining other treatment options. Overall, stay away

Would very much recommend. His explanation and plan for treatment was very helpful.

Very satisfied with my appointment. Took the time to answer all questions and address all present concerns.

He was referred to me by an ER doctor. Soonest appointment was a month from when I called. Sent me to get a MRI and MRA, called the next day and rushed through telling me my diagnosis, requested a call back from him 3 times with no returned call. No guidance given when told a CT Angiogram was needed; staff/associate seemed annoyed when answering questions. There was one staff member who assisted me and was helpful/kind. Overall, I was not pleased with his bedside manner or his associate's.

I would not recommend Dr. Thomas to anyone, worst bedside manner of any doctor I have visited. Now 9 weeks has past since I had a test done, and despite calling his office requesting a written report of the test findings, no report and no call back. On a recent visit he was more interested in finding the recent winning lottery number from the staff, with a full waiting room. Professionalism is not his strong suit, DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME, MANY OTHER COMPETENT NEUROLOGISTS.

Have been going to him for years. Always a great experience. He explains things in a way that makes sense and spends more time than most doctors do with patients.

He has a terrible bedside manner.

Very helpful and caring in treating my mother. Seems to really know what he is talking about. Office was nice.
