Great care and full communication on scope of surgery.

I was in desperate need of care for a fractured wrist. The practice got me an appointment right away, and the very next day I went in for surgery. Dr. Zelouf gave me great reassurance and confidence in his skill, explained everything up front, and was personable in his approach. I was well cared for. The surgery was a success. Thank you Dr. Zelouf and staff!

In September 2022 I suffered an unfortunate and debilitating injury when I tore several ligaments in my thumb during a rugby match. I saw Dr. Zelouf less than a week after my injury, and he was very to-the-point, well-informed, and friendly. Dr. Zelouf laid out my options and I chose an operation to fix my thumb. Dr. Zelouf did a fantastic job with my surgical pin operation (k-wires), and informed me well on how to avoid infection post-surgery. Finally, Dr. Zelouf removed my pins six weeks later with no pain and the holes left behind are small and healing nicely. I'd say about at this point in my recovery (4 months later) I have 95% usage of my thumb again. I highly recommend this doctor, for he made this very frustrating injury easier to overcome. Patriarchal. Presumptuous. Condescending. Abusive. Unhelpful. Dr. Zelouf spent less than 5 minutes of face to face time with me, and yet somehow managed to dismiss, disrespect and invalidate me several times within those five minutes. I began my history with the words "I saw my physical therapist and they diagnosed me with..." he cut me off and demanded I start over. "I don't care about somebody else's diagnosis. Start again with your SYMPTOMS" he snarled at me. We never finished describing my symptoms, because he prematurely truncated that step to drill me through a series of commands so he could assess me. "I don't see any reason you could have 'X' Let's get X Ray's," he says 60 seconds later. How could he make this determination without inquiring into the repetitive strain put upon my body by my job as a nurse? When I return from x-ray, he comes into my room with supplies already prepared and medication already drawn into a syringe. We had not yet discussed diagnosis or treatment options. In that moment I decided I would not be allowing Dr. David Zelouf to touch me or treat me. Isn't it fantastic how quickly a patient loses trust in their physician? I did not feel safe in his care, and I was angered at his arrogant assumption that I wanted a treatment he hadn't even discussed with me yet. When I asked him about the appropriateness of light duty or medical leave, I was denied. I had not trialed formal rest and was hoping some time away from work would resolve my symptoms. "I don't allow people to stop work." He seemed stupefied by my request to take a conservative approach. If you are looking for a skilled surgeon, then Dr. Zelouf may still be a good fit. I have seen Dr. Zelouf several times.He listened carefully,and proceeded with options for me.i was so impressed with how he Listened!!!!! Great visit..... would highly recommend him.

Excellent service. Everything was explained. The injection was done rapidly with minimum discomfort. I give my highest recommendation.

Dr. Zelouf was knowledgeable; however, he didn’t pursue what could be wrong with the pain in my finger. He took X-rays that ended up being fine, and basically told me to come back if it gets worse and sent me on my way. So, I don’t know if I’d go back or not.

Dr Zelouf knows my hand problem n fix it!

Dr. Z was great! I severely crushed my finger. It was basically dead. I was flown to Jefferson in center city Philadelphia from Paoli Hospital. His emergency team took great care of me and saved my finger. Thanks

Dr Zelouf is not only a healer, but also an artist. He operated on my hand and had to make four separate incisions. They have healed so well in less than five weeks you can hardly see the scar. I highly recommend him.

Extremely rude.

Extremely rude when he heard the date of my injury that was the end of our conversation, he cut me off at every answer. He offered no other testing or treatment no other options. I recommend seeing anyone else over him.

Severely damaged my hand with a circular saw. I'm a bass player as nd thought my playing days were over. He fixed my hand to the point where it is almost brand new! I HIGHLY reccomend Dr. Zelouf!

Just completed my second carpel tunnel surgery with him. He's a fast pace guy it seems at first, but he's unbelievable in my opinion........I'm highly satisfied wished I knew of him sooner. Thanks Dr.

I had hand surgery 1 year ago and I just wanted to say my hand is doing great! I couldn’t use it for much which was a problem (it’s my dominant hand). Now I am doing full-time daycare for my grandson! Thank you Dr Zelouf!! You told me to give it time and to quit rushing the time it needed to heal and that’s just what I did! I got a very bad cut on my index and middle finger when I met with a small accident at home. Such a bad cut. I went to Dr. Zelouf for my surgery. He is amazing and gave life to my fingers. After 3 months of my surgery my finger looks perfect. He tried his best on my fingers. I feel like nothing happened to my fingers. Thanks again for your wonderful job Dr. David Zelouf and team. Nurse and front desk staffs are also very friendly.

Dr. Zelouf and his staff did a great job. Golf elbow injury, severe tear of tendon. Very happy with process, recommendations and outcome. He is a golfer and understands the intricacies of the swing and damages.

Dr. Zelouf and the staff of Philadelphia Hand to Shoulder were excellent. I was able to schedule and appointment, and have surgery within two days. I am beyond satisfied with the results of my surgery to repair my broken wrist. The therapy team began 7 days post surgery and I am now back to my active lifestyle. I would highly recommend Dr. Zelouf and the staff. They are excellent.

At my only appointment with Dr. Zelouf I was extremely impressed with the complete experience. He was very professional, asked pertinent questions, then quickly treated the problem. I am pleased that I located him.

I had to have skin graft surgery after a gruesome work related injury to my left finger. Dr. Zelouf was there to take care of me. I'm a boxer and guitarist, so I was very concerned about my injury. Dr. Zelouf reassured me that I'd be back to normal. He was absolutely right! My surgery was perfect! I am whole again and feel better than ever! I highly recommend Dr. Zelouf if ever you are in need of hand surgery!

Dr. Zelouf took a sincere interest in my well being. I am rather high strung and Dr. Zelouf understood this. He took the time to explain exactly what the procedure involved, pain level, recovery time and after care. Appointments were kept on time without a lot of time in the waiting area and most importantly the repair of my arm will was successful.

I called 4pm on Wednesday and got an appt. 9am the next day. He clearly explained all my options, was courteous and professional, did not downplay my injury. Took x-rays then carefully examined both my hands to compare with care. Physical therapy was my best option, set me up and told me he was there if I needed him.

Not helpful at all. Couldn't have had less concern. Didn't go over radiology report with me even though there were items of concern. Stay away.

Dr. Zelouf was the best doc to treat my bilateral injuries caused by bicycle accident. He made me whole - outstanding surgery to repair shattered elbow & PT for broken fingers. I truly appreciate his compassion and kindness during the entire 3 month process. He was always available for questions. His office staff, Bridget & Jillian, make every patient feel welcome. Paoli hand therapists, Teri & Lauren, worked hard to get me back to 100% - not to mention the fun they added to the rehab visits.

Dr. Zelouf is amazing! I had a rotational break of my left ring finger. Dr. Zelouf provided detail of my injury and the therapy I would be performing. He was able to get me into surgery the next day to add two screws into my finger. I was very happy at my follow up appointment as my finger looks and feels great!! Dr. Zelouf and his staff were very professional and I would highly recommend Dr. Zelouf who brings many years of experience and dedication to his field.

I was in a car accident and suffered a compound fracture of my risk and dislocated my thumb. I was taken to Paoli Hospital. I feel very fortunate that Dr Zelouf was on call. I had surgery to repair my injuries within hours after the accident. Dr Zelouf stepped in and reassured me that he could fix my injuries. My surgery went well and I did not have any complications. T[he hand center PT group helped me through a long and painful recouperation. Thank you Dr Zelouf!

Worst doctor I have ever seen! Rude, mean and worst of all incompetent! If he can't figure out your problem then he dismisses your pain and tells you to live with it. Very judgemental and obtuse. Stay away!

My wrist was shattered in a fall from a ladder onto a concrete floor - Humpty Dumpty was in better shape than my wrist. Dr. Z saw me the same day and did surgery the next morning. In an outpatient surgical setting - a wonderful orderly place with warm and friendly nurses - come in the morning go home in the afternoon with your completely shattered wrist put expertly back together. The only good news when you're injured is finding your way to good care. You'll find the best of care here.

Dr Zelouf was calming, reassuring, and quickly earned my confidence in his professional expertise. I will strongly recommend him to anyone I know who is in need of his care.

Six and a half years ago Dr. Zelouf did surgery on My Husbands wrist and it was a successful surgery. I liked the way he took care of my Husband, so I had full confidence in going to him for carpal tunnel surgery. I had both hand done and Dr. Zelouf was very up front with about the surgery, what to expect and possible out comes. I would like to say that the pain I had in my hands and arms is gone, and I am able to do things that I could before the issues began.

Dr. Zelouf did a tremendous job repairing a very badly broken right thumb on my 14 year old son in June 2016. He was very candid, and to the point, from the first visit/exam, through surgery and final exam. We are very appreciative and thankful for his expertise. My son is back in the lacrosse cage doing what he loves most. Great success! Thank you Dr. Zelouf.

Dr. Zelouf and his colleague Dr. Grant Seidon were very thorough in their examination and were conservative in their approach to my left hand issues. Outstanding physician, excellent people skills, and the carpel tunnel operation was a complete success.

I have to give special praise to Dr. Zelouf for his accurate diagnosis excellent surgical approach and fine surgical techniques. Not only I experienced no pain with the surgery but also my wrist heals very nicely. My son, a plastic surgeon is very impressed with how nice the closure looks. His whole office staff members in the Philadelphia Hand Center are wonderful people also. Gina, Jill, Stephanie all treated me very nice with respect. I was always anxiously looking forward to every visit.

No bed side manner. I am only 18 years old and after my surgery he forgot to come check up on me, and forgot to tell my mother that my surgery was over and how it went. His initial guess on which surgery I needed was incorrect, and he did a very poor job explaining to me what exactly happened. He is unclear whilst explaining things, and unless you ask a lot of questions, you aren't going to get much information out of him. He also forgot to tell me to take biotin after my surgery. STAY AWAY!

Dr. Zelouf is the man to go to for hand surgery. I broke my right hand in a fall. Dr. Zelouf saw me within a week. A true healthcare professional with a great heart. Surgery was fine, uneventful. Most importantly, I have full use of my right hand today. Thank you Dr. Zelouf.

I had the right hand and then the left hand carpal tunnel surgery done in the fall of 2015. Had the classic symptoms for over one year before the surgeries - numbness in hands & pain at night while sleeping which caused me to sleep with both hands over the side of the bed. Symptoms disappeared immediately after each surgery. Everything in the process went as it should from the initial appointment to the follow up visit a week after each operation. This is as it should be!

I met Dr. Zelouf two years ago to treat carpal tunnel in my right hand. He took the time to diagnose my injury and explore treatment options. His surgery technique had me back to work in thirteen days. Recently, I had my left hand done, and expect the same results. It was worth the trip from my Delco home to his King of Prussia office for treatment. I highly recommend Dr. Zelouf and the PHC staff ! Bravo !

The highest compliment a doctor can get is when the OR staff that works closely with all the hand surgeons chooses one doctor consistently to do their surgery. The OR nurses and doctors choose Dr Zelouf for their surgeon. One of the reasons is that he is very meticulous about his surgeries. He goes above and beyond to make sure the area is cleaned, proper technique is used from start to finish.He's known as one of the best surgeons in the country. Feel comfortable you have the best surgeon!!

Because of a fall, I broke two bones in my right wrist which did not heal properly when under the care of another orthopedist. I was referred to Dr, Zelouf and as soon as he saw my wrist he told me I needed surgery as soon as possible, Under his care I underwent over 3 1/2 hours of surgery to correct my problem. I couldn't be more pleased with the outcome, I now have no pain, good range of motion and dexterity and my wrist is straight again. Thank you, Dr. Zelouf.
