Very skilled pain doctor

Dr Gekht is the best . I haven’t been going to for a long time. The injections help me and I don’t have to take pain meds. Last time I waited to long so I had to wait for my insurance to clear. Dr. Gekht has really been great while trying several ways to get me some relief for my lower back pain. He’s a good doctor, he and his staff are very friendly and professional.

I was a patient of Dr. Gekht in 2015. He helped me with my and back pain and after three injections the pain was gone. I really enjoyed his professionalism, knowledge and friendly bedside manner. It’s now November 2021 and my back pain has returned. Dr. Gekht is again performing injections and he has reduced my pain from a level of 8 to almost nothing. Given my back issues, it is remarkable how he can help me avoid surgery. He always greets me with a smile and is so careful to keep me comfortable during the procedure. I am so grateful to have him in our community to help folks like me.

If you have had Constant back pain from damage-from getting older . Try Dr Geck ! His procedure with direct injections are beneficial! Great bedside manner. He is truly a great doctor.

I have seen Dr. Gekht for the past 5 years for back pain. He is terrific! His bedside manners are wonderful and he listens attentively to his patients. I highly recommend Dr. Gekht and can’t say enough good things about his expertise and personality.

After seeking help for chronic mid back pain and spasm for years Dr Gehkt agreed to see me and review my case. He did a nerve block and later, nerve ablation which has given me much relief. When my fingers went numb and arm strength was impaired, he did a cervical nerve block; that took care of the problem. The procedures were well explained and painless. The office staff and surgicenter staff are great. If I have a problem, I see the nurse practitioner. This has worked well.

As chronic patient I had got prescriptions for last 15 years more. Now after new opioid scandal he suddenly stopped ALL my medication. That's crime! He got great future ,after my death,loose license. Malpractice case is beginning...

I have been to see Dr. Gekht many times over the years for different matters, and each time, his procedures were well described and expertly carried out. My last recent treatment was a cervical ablation and after just two days, my results were amazing. I called the office to express my gratitude to Dr. Gekht and received a call directly from him. I have always been treated with respect at his office, as well as his surgery center. Highly recommend.

Dr Gekht has treated me two different times for neck pain 4 years apart. The first time I remained pain free for 4 years and the second time I have been pain free for 4 years and running. He is an excellent doctor with a wonderful bed side manner. I highly recommend him.

Shame! I have been seeing Dr Gekht for 4 yrs. I had good results then.. Now, 4 shots later, no relief. His excellent PA Teresa left last yea, and the current people working with Gekht pale in comparison. Return phone calls are not timely, with staffers oblivious to patients' urgent need for pain meds. His new PA is haughty, with no sense of urgency.. I complained & they fired me! As much as I like Gekht personally, you should find a more caring practice staffed with people who care about you !

Dr. Gekht has been very helpful and kind to me. However, after a year of treatment, I still have chronic pain. On several visits, I have only seen his PA, Brianna. She is patronizing and condescending and seems totally uninterested in my pain management. I am not happy with paying expensive charges for a specialist and getting service from someone who is not a physician and not even a caring individual. On my last visit, she offered to call in a RX for muscle relaxer, but she did not.

This sounds melodramatic but this doctor has changed my life. I lived with constant severe pain despite multiple surgeries. The final fusion (S1 - T12) stabilized my back but I still had incredible nerve pain. Dr. Gekht installed a spinal cord stimulator which has been nothing short of a miracle. Additionally, this man is kind, caring and a delight to see. He is the best doctor I have ever, ever had.

I've suffered back pain for several years. Went to many doctors, physical therapists, and chiropractors, All to no avail. Someone recommended Dr Gekht and I thought what do I have to lose? Coastal orthopedics have the latest and best technology and equipment and absolutely the best doctor. Dr Gekhet gave me one shot for my sacroiliac, and yes I was pain-free. OMG he is a miracle worker. In addition, he has a great bedside manner, a cute accent, and a sense of you humor.

He is a very caring doctor and very good at what he does. Dr Gekht can can help you with your pain in a very relaxing way that makes you feel comfortable. I would recommend him very highly.

Dr. Gekht is the first doctor to successfully treat a chronic back problem that I have had for over 15 years. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for an effective approach to dealing with back pain and, in my case, the treatment did not rely on pain medication. He has a great bedside manner and is a lot of fun to talk to. He's the best.

After seeing several doctors who were unsuccessful in addressing my neck pain and migraines, I was referred to Dr. Gekht and found him to be thorough and successful in resolving my neck pain by performing cervical radiofrequency ablation and medial branch blocks. He has a wonderful bedside manner and always puts his patients' concerns foremost. I moved to El Paso, Texas in 2014 and am currently in the process of trying to find a doctor in our area who can serve me as Dr. Gekht did.

Would definitely recommend and have recommended friends to Dr Gekht. He has given me some relief from back pain after hearing from others for many years that "there's nothing we can do for you." I live too far away to continue with Dr Gekht as I am still working and an hour and a half one-way is too much to take out of my day just in travel time.

Dr. Gekht is a disgrace. They made us wait nearly 1 month for an ESI then wouldn't give us the ESI due to a scheduling mistake. They didn't care and told us we had to wait. We are expecting a baby and could not wait. We told them this we planned our lives around the ESI appointment. They admitted their mistake but didn't care. They blamed their employee. We told them the service were 'lousy.' They then cancelled my husband's appt and told us to find another doctor.

Great Dr. Recent Surgery was Painless with good results.

Dr. Gekht is a consumate pain management specialist. He cares about his patients,listens well and is very empathetic.He is in a class by himself and has a great sense of humor.Recommending him to family or friends is a no brainer.

I have never met anyone like Dr. Gekht before. He is the most understanding and caring doctor that I have ever had. He speaks to you on your level, not down to you. Dr. Gekht has never looked at his watch or seemed to be in a hurry and stays with you for how ever long it takes. We plan to move back to NY but as long as I need pain management, it will always be with Dr. Gekht.

Been seeing Dr Gekht for approx. 8 yrs. he was treating me with injection in hip --was leaving fon vacation that afternoon--Dr Gekht took his lunch break to give injection-- so I could travel a bit more comfortable ! THis was above the call of duty!!!!!! DR Gekht has always been professional and attentive to me. THUMBS UP TO DR GEKHT!!!!!!

Dr. Gekht is kind, warm, funny, caring, and good at what he does!

Not enough stars on the questionnaire to rate how well Dr. Gekht listens to &e then answers my questions or concerns. He takes as much time as necessary to explain my medical conditions using the appropriate amount of time. He is a stickler for keeping his appointments on time but I've never once felt rushed (how he makes this work I have no idea but he does). I have degenerative disc disease so spend too much time @ Coastal & am very qualified to rate him & the office. Physician extraordinaire!
