The Dr and staff are absolutely wonderful. Professional, courteous, and attentive. I have delt with this specific pain for 15+ years. They all take care of me and my needs above and beyond what is required. God bless all of them.

While Dr. Dozier is friendly and knowledgeable, his staff that are in the clinic take no time to ask if a patient or their families have any questions. I wish I’d have read these reviews before going. Try to find an office whose staff is courteous and has the decency to ask the patient if they have questions about the treatment.

I have no idea how the doctor is, I'll never get past the rude and incompetent staff. Was referred 2 months ago, never heard from them. Had PCP visit a couple of weeks ago and my doctor was surprised I hadn't gotten called, so she said she'd refer me again. They must've took their holiday break from Dec 12th to Jan 3rd. I waited til end of business day to call, nice lady answered the phone but said she has no referral for me but will transfer me to someone who knows. That lady couldn't find it either so put me on brief hold, when she came back I tryd to explain the ridiculous run around and zero pain help all med help severely delayed. They were so rude and combative. I was trying not to cry, most doctors and especially the offices are the worst. I'm done paying 40 to be rude to and 20 in gas to get to the rude. Rude offices will always say the patient is the problem and they have 3 eavesdropping witnesses. I'm all for a recording, it would show they are very unprofessional petty. I wish unrelenting spine, face, pelvis pain without any pain help to all who have mistreated me. I can't give less than one star, also read alot of feedback that said the same. Your 3.9 average star rating should be more like 2.7 HA can't do math either big surprise

Amazing staff and professional!

Very professional, and Dr Lindley did an amazing job at pinpointing, and relieving my back pain.

Dr. DOZIER and his staff are "ROCK STAR'S " I have had several injections over the years. They are always so professional, helpful and understanding what living with pain is like. Thank you.

I’m going to write this under Dr. Dozier but Dr. Lindley was my provider. Upon looking at my MRI, he sent me to a neurosurgeon and I was able to get spinal fusion after many years of fighting with medical systems. I have had chronic back pain ever since an accident that caused me to have a fusion and develop arthritic sciatic pain. Dr Dozier has never listened to me and all he wants to do is inject my back with steroids, which never helped. As a nurse I also know this causes additional problems. I would never recommend him

I've been a devoted patient of Dr. Dozier since 2006. But if weren't for him/pain mngmnt, I'd still be in untouchable pain. I hve lupus + a whole'lotta other conditions tht causes pain, but the lupus sle is the main 1. I had options to go to another pain mgmt dr, who prescribes anything of my choice, w/o any questions. I didn't/dont want a "yes man" & to be given whtevr fancies me. I need a Dr who actually treats my pain, my underline reasoning for my pain & to treat tht. I dont want a Dr who allows their patients to hve use them like a candy dispensary. Dr Dozier/his entire team are the most compassionate, has patience as they're dealing with ea individual, instead of dealing with us like we're all cut frm the same cookie cutter type of treatment. Every Dr, nurse, receptionist@their office, truly cares for our wellbeing & doing all they can to mke sure our needs are met. Dr. Dozier has given me a quality of life again, truly a blessing for me, my fam which my lupus has chngd them too!

I live 90 miles from Abilene. I couldn't find a good pain specialist where I live so after many requests for a referral elsewhere, my GP referred me to a neurologist in Abilene and he referred me to Dr. Dozier. My first visit was very informative and helpful. I was able to get injections in my back that day then every 3 months after. This has helped me tremendously. I have so many issues with my spine, lower back pain, sciatica in both hips, boney outgrowth and more which has gotten worse over the years since 2005 when I injured my back hauling rock and sand from my driveway to my back yard. My pain is constant. If not for Dr. Dozier, I would probably be bedridden. I am 71 but I like to be active and have always been active. I pray Dr. Dozier doesn't retire anytime soon. My prior pain specialist in San Antonio decided to retire early and losing him was hard. I'd hate to have to go through that again.

Doctor Norman Dozier’s staff have a lack of communication. After my spine stimulator was put in that was it. No calls to see if I was ok, they still left the tape on. I call to get some pain pills and the girl answering the phone said he doesn’t prescribe medication yet he’s a pain management doctor. Go figure. And, by the way the stimulator doesn’t work and shuts off by itself so really I’m back to square one. Back hurting and legs numb and toes hurt and still fill the shock sensation going down my back but what do they care? They got their money. He's great at what he does

I’ve been going to Dr Dozier for years now & he listens to me manages my pain with great care. I’m grateful to have been recommended to him. I wouldn’t go anywhere else. The staff also are great.

I've been going to pain management, seeing Dr. Dozier & Jenny since 2006/2007 . They're my most favorite out of all of my Dr's-I have several different-Everyone in the office are very nice, patient, professional, but caring. The wait to be seen is no longer than 20-30 mins & that's always a plus, not having to spend my day@an appt. Their office is always very clean, especially the bathroom's. The nurse's are very accommodating if I'm needing to reschedule my appt@the last min, or if I'm needing a last min appt like ASAP. It's nice to have everyone, besides the Dr's, to actually know it name, ur face without having to guess or only go by my charts. Getting my, anyone's, my pain medications is never difficult & they always have my medications clld in shortly thereafter putting my cllng to have the refill done. Some Drs will wait for hours before contacting the pharmacy. I wouldn't change a single thing abt Dr. Doziers office & again, they're my favorite Drs that I have. I'm always recommend his office when I'm talking to ppl that are needing a pain management & anyone that needs pain medication. Dr Dozier and his staff are absolutely amazing! He and Jenny make sure to take the time to understand your situation and where your pain is located; then create a pain management plan that targets exactly where you need it. I’m so grateful to be under his care.

Dr. Dozier is a very busy doctor. There is a reason for that. He thinks outside the box and does whatever he needs to to help his patients. He and his Physician's assistant are the first doctors that I have gone to that didn't make me feel guilty that I have back pain and needed pain pills. He implanted a neuro-stimulator in may back and it has helped me tremendously.

I love Dr Dozier, his PA and his staff!! I wish I wld have came to him YEARS ago, I wld have had relief so much sooner!! He is understanding, empathetic and him and all his staff are excellent! It is wonderful to have a doctor that listens AND understands, when it comes to pain management.

I see Dr Dozier about every 3 months, he is the best, he has my MRI results, he asks where I hurt, he targets my pain, I come out pain free. Staff is great, professional, and helpful. Moving to NH next month wish I could take them all with me - looking now for a practise just like Dr. Dozier's.

COPD, AFib, HBP, diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, lower back disc. Problems, fractured neck along with other health issue. I was paying almost $300 each visit that was my 20% I paid because I'm on medicare. He wanted me to come in every three weeks for injection's that was impossible for a person on SS disability that lives on $1208.00 a mo. But I was still going as often as I could. Since he had that surgery center built he's gotten money hungry. When I just couldn't afford the visits anymore until I had gotten all my Dr bills paid down I had to go in for a 6mo. Med check. Never was I ever considered for a drug test. 26 yrs from NY to TX never a drug test. I take one and Bam I fail! For of all things METH? No explanation nothing. The amount of METH I was wrongly accused of having in my system was 3685 something's per something. I understand from talking to a few of the nurses that come TO MY HOME 3 x a week that is really a high intake? How suck am I? From his office I was getting 240 loritab 10/325, Soma 90, Voltaran jel, 30 Meloxicam. Wow who the hell would want METH with my illness, nurses, hospital visits and medication I get from him? If you wanted to get ride of me for drug use at least make it something like weed right? Keep it in my age group along with my health issue. Several years ago I went to see Dr. Dozier with back issues. I also have Fibromyalgia. Withour checking any records, doing an xray, etc. he came in to the room and said, "I can't help you"! I thought I was dreaming. What kind of MD is this??? Since then I have an MRI showing that I have disk problems on lower right side of my back. The Disk is so bad I cannot sleep or lay on my right side. I heard about a procedure Dr. Dozier was doing that made it possible for a friend of mine to quit taking pain meds. I ask my doctor to refer me once again hoping that he would take me. My referral was denied and I called Dr. Dozier's office to see why. They told me that I have Fibromyalgia and it didn't make any difference if I had disk problems. Dr. Dozier denied me and that was it. I have had several spine injections. Great Dr and Staff.

Dr Dozier and his staff have gone out of their way to accommodate me and ease my pain at every turn. I have received several spinal injections from him and several radio frequency nerve burns. Dr Dozier and Dr. Frazier have explained the procedures and the possible outcomes of each. I could not have asked for a more likely outcome and would highly recommend his team for anyone experiencing extreme pain issues. Seems to be standard procedure for running 1 hour late or more

Have to give it at least 1 star to post a rating. Doesn’t even deserve that. ALWAYS running behind but will tell you over the phone or when you walk in for your appointment that everything is great. Be prepared at sit waiting for an hour plus AFTER your appointment time while the reception girls are laughing and messing around. If you do go and ask you’re just told that your next so that you will shut up and go sit back down to wait. Staff if just rude and the whole building smells of sewage and they know about it but say there’s nothing they can do. Strongly recommend that you try another clinic first before coming here. There’s nothing special about this doctor or clinic so shop around! Have to give it at least 1 star to post a rating. Doesn’t even deserve that. Not likely to recommend. At all. He was condescending, and seemed very exasperated and impatient. Did not explain things in language that the average person could understand, did not listen, and either cut off or dismissed questions. The whole experience was very frustrating, especially after his assistant seemed to give such hope. His assistant was very nice, and seemed like she had actual concern and interest in the patient, whereas he did not.

Friendly, supportive, and informative staff. All questions/concerns answered. Wait time was average compared to other doctor visits. My back pain was relieved with one injection. My grandmother, my mother, and myself are all patients of Dr Dozier and I highly recommend him and his office to others needing pain management for back problems.

Have been a patient of Dozier's since the mid 1990's and his care has gone downhill. He doesn't listen to his patients and his staff is rude and condescending. If a person is in pain 24/7 the last thing you need is to be treated like a piece of crap. NO THANK YOU. Will not be recommending him to anyone especially if they are in chronic pain. Another thing why do I have to give him any stars before I can post this? So I take away the star I HAD to give him. Very nice people and great response to me when I have questions or need another shot in my back. Excellent staff.

Dr Dozier and his staff have gone out of their way to accommodate me and ease my pain at every turn. I have received several spinal injections from him. The second time I saw him he took note that I have an enlarged back muscle that spasms and causes me a lot of pain. He went out of his way to call me with a solution that didn't involve narcotics within a few days. He and his staff have helped improve the quality of life for myself and my family. Have been a patient of Dozier's for over 20 years. I really wish I could give him 5 stars but I can't. He has gotten where he is too busy to listen to his patients. When trying to get an appointment you might as well be asking for gold. They are condescending and unhelpful. I was sent to another doctor for a treatment and was told Dozier would not respond with information and then refused all recommendations from referring physician. Can I give negative stars?

I went into Dr Norman Doziers office this morning at 8:30 . I was met by a friendly and kind face. I sat down and not even 3 minutes later they called my name. I went into a patient room met with Jeanie . She was happy , smiling and listened to my woes. She is awesome too. Wasn't long and I was told to go get my pain shot. I met my friend the anesthesiologist and the nurse who put the needle in my arm and I never felt it. These two are awesome too.I feel totally safe with this staff. I have been getting pain shots for my scoliosis , stenosis, osteoarthritis , sciatic nerve pain and even my fibromyalgia . I can hardly walk with the pain I endure till I wake up in the recovery room. From the first person who greets me to the one who helps put me in my car it is a wonderful experience. I have opted for this rather than back surgery. I may have to have it someday but for me this is my choice. After I get my pain shot I will go to physical therapy at West Texas Rehab and can get the help I need there without pain as I rebuild my muscle. When in the military 20+ years ago I had a military anesthesiologist do an epidural during childbirth, which went into my spine; he tried two blood patches, which one of those also went into my spine and hit a nerve-- I couldn't stand up straight for 6 weeks. At 25 years old I felt like a 90 year old. In that same lumbar L5/S1 area, the ligament and whole area was forever weakened-- I would often have numbness when I tried to exercise and eventually the pain got so bad I would stay up all night in tears. I went to countless physicians & neurologists who did pointless procedures on me; when they couldn't relieve my pain they threw narcotics at me. Still having terrible shooting pain going from my lumbar back down thru my leg, I had no relief for several years---I walked around in a silent agony. I heard about Dr Dozier and decided to give him a try, thinking he can't possibly make it any worse. The very first appointment he gave me relief I hadn't had in years. He knew the EXACT spot to do an injection to relieve my pain (I'd had many injections before...none that hit the exact spot.) He put me on a course of meds that wouldn't make me a zombie all day. He really is wonderful. As for his staff, they've always been great to me. I see on this board where ppl say they had to wait 45 minutes in an exam room to see him or his PA--well if you really need him, let me tell you the wait is worth it---He's going to spend that same 45 minutes on you too.
