I found Dr. Abaci to be a very through. He does not rush you. He has a great bedside manner. His staff is wonderful. I would definitely recommend him for pain management.

After waiting 1-1/2 hrs to see the dr., he barely looked at my information, gave me the first book he wrote as homework! He wanted me to go to therapy and counseling at HIS OFFICE three times a week but it's a 140 miles round trip and I wanted to go close to home. I never got the physical therapy or refills for 2 out of 5 prescriptions he did allow, prescribed by a previous dr., (none being pain meds) because after several attempts by the review board for information, they couldn't get ahold of him to get the information needed for authorization for it, so everything was denied. He was more interested in talking about the two books he wrote on pain.

Unfortunately he did not answer any questions. It was clear he did not look at my referring Physcians chart notes. His responses to my questions were almost non existent. I had found him online at his website. I bought his books. He sounded great so I asked my Dr. for a consult. I prepaid $2500. It is very unfortunate. I would have preferred to donate the money to CRPS reserch. Because he misrepresents his self. I myself have worked in the medical field for years. And now I am a patient with CRPS. I now have to search for another Physcian who is legitimate and sincere about providing good, positive care.

Read article about book. You have done 0 research on the 1000s of suicides of severe chronic pain pts. I've been POW for 2yrs in my apt now w pain I hope you never exp. I tried all on your list of remedies in my life bit now I require an opiate or I too will be a suicide stat. Yes I do have a therapist &we face time 2x week. My only issue to retrieve my mental health is to have much need relief fr suffering. I'm circling the drain and because of this manufactured crisis from people like you, no one will help w unbearable pain. The most vulnerable population are the only people affected by these extremes. Your methods in your one-sided book are so old in the PM field. You're simply trying to revive and reinvent the wheel. Yoire a pathetic Dr just trying to make big $$$$ from a desperate population. Wish I could leave a better review but I’m not going to. After being left in debilitating chronic bone pain and infection in my knee by a horrible surgeon that pretty much botched me ( we’re talking 6 BAD surgerys and now have seizures do to the infection! I’ve been struggling to get out of pain. I’ve been grinding my teeth due to the pain and now have dislocated a disc in my jaw. I drove over an hour to get a consultation just to be pissed tested and treated like it’s bad to take pain medication. Even though the man seemed caring and nice they do not take care of pain management and you will waste your time if you think they can help. Wish I could leave a better review but I’m not going to. I am currently a patient of Dr. Abaci and I have been suffering with chronic back pain for years fue to work injuries...I dont know what happened with the previous reviewer Deena, and its unfortunate their experience happened like that, because I am having a completely different experience, and have nothing but high praises for the entire clinic that Dr. Abaci and Dr. Massey have put together. IPM Los Gatos (intensive pain management). The entire staff here is amazing, and I should know, I am part of a therapy program that they also run here at the clinic.... I got in thru my workers compensation insurance. The program runs 6 weeks, 8 hours a day, 5 days a week....yup im serious, dont get me wrong lol, this is not the only option they have, but the people in this program are people with serious chronic pain, CRPS, herniated disc, fusions, etc...the healing I am going thru and witnessing in our group of patients is amazing. Many of us choose to slow down, if not stop, taking our heavy narcotics! If all your looking for is a clinic to roboticly fill out a drup prescription, then this is not it. But if you need help learning about chronic pain and how to adapt, cope, and live a better life...than this is the place to be healed. Dr Peter Abaci also has a book out... It helped me to get motivated as I related to the people in the book, and it really explains what the body and minds healing processes are, its called "Conquer Your Chronic Pain". I have rarely written reviews, but i hope this helps anyone suffering from chronic pain like me to give e Dr Abacis clinic a chance before you scoff and turn away. I have been a patient for a few years now and Dr. Abaci is a wonderful physician. He has a kind bedside manner, is direct and to the point as well as extremely knowledgeable.

Very poor doctor. Very very disappointing. Do not be fooled by his book. Refuses to consider objective evidence MRIs etc as another patient noted and seed specialists opinionGo to him only if you want to take meds for rest of life. One does not need a doctor for that only a prescription writer

I was a patient of Dr Abaci for some time, yet my pain continued to get worse. He never looked at the films for my spine once to treat me, and was poor at communicating with my other doctors. He is a nice guy, but not that great for Pain Management.
