Mr. Robert C. Dauser

Dr. Dauser performed a cranial resection at Texas Children's Hospital in 1999 to remove my craniopharyngioma brain tumor when I was 5 years old. My parents came to him after realizing I had lost a significant portion of my vision very quickly. He diagnosed the brain tumor, explained the situation to my parents, and got me into surgery the next day to prevent any more vision loss. He was so skilled, he even made sure to hide the incision under my hairline so that my scar would never be visible as I grew up. Because of him, I grew up to live the most normal life anyone with this type of tumor can hope to live. And even though the tumor had already eaten up over half of my vision before Dr. Dauser got involved, I still managed to become a licensed attorney over twenty years later. Dr. Dauser not only possesses the knowledge and skill that puts him at the top of his field, but he also considers the practical and social implications for his patients. And now, even decades later, I still remember how kind and comforting he was to my 5-year-old self. I was never scared even for a moment under his care. Thank you so much, Dr. Dauser. I owe everything to you.

Dr Dauser is tops in his field. He is well respected by his peers. He can be a bit abrupt in his bedside manner but he KNOWS what he is doing. He is in the best possible place, Texas Childrens Hospital. Their Child Life Specialists & nurses are the perfect foil to his businesslike manner. He was amazing with my son & his surgery. Jack's surgery was 11 years ago. He is now a smart, funny, active 16 year old with no side effects from his surgery. I highly reccommend Dr. Dauser and am still exceptionally grateful to him, for his talents and skills.

He saved my life twice and I am forever grateful. I was a first of his with bilateral moyamoya and thanks to him, I have my life back. I couldn't be happier and I live every day appreciating crossing paths with him.

Excellent Doctor! As far as my family is concerned, he saved my grandsons life. My grandson born at 27 weeks, 2 lbs 11 ozs, grade 3 ventricular hemorrhage, hydrocephalus, and needing emergency surgery to relieve the fluid that was increasing on his brain, this amazing doctor placed a reservoir to relieve the pressure building on his brain. His expertise and knowledge saved my grandson from the unthinkable and I thank God for him and Texas Children's hospital. Thank you Dr. Dauser!

Very poor bedside manner and did not consider that the procedure he performed would be traumatic for and 8 year old. He never explained in a simple, broken down form of what he was testing me for, or what to expect.
