I really liked Dr. Malik. He asked a lot of questions and had me clarify symptoms. Gave me lots of info. I was impressed bc he really listened and wrote a bunch of notes as he listened. I'm not used to that lol. He didn't give a diagnosis, but discussed what he felt was likely vs unlikely. Since my symptoms don't happen frequently, he didn't prescribe daily meds, just something to take during flare ups and also therapy exercises. The staff was also nice. I really liked Dr. Malik. Dr. Malik is very thorough and super nice person. He always explains things so you understand. Doesn't talk over your head. Highly recommend Very caring doctor.

VERY touchy. There was no reason for him to touch me that much. Now I can't get ahold of him about my meds not working. Now I have to go to the ER.

Lack of social skills with patients. Very rude????.

I've been seeing Dr. Malik for years it has been great but until now he was just plain rude and uncaring to what I had to say about my past life experience with my family and less seizures I've been having, I highly recommend you someone else other than him you'll regret it if you don't.

He is a brilliant Neurologist. Empathetic and exceptional in his knowledge and practice in the field of neurology. I believe he saved my life. If it weren’t for his consulting, ability to diagnose quickly and efficiently my condition would have taken my life. A misdiagnosis by another neurologist could have resulted in a fatal outcome. Dr. Malik knew immediately what my illness was and how to confirm and treat it. Only a bigot would criticize him because, in their opinion, his office “smelled funny”. I thank Dr. Malik and his staff. I have referred many people to him. All have thanked me and share my opinion. Thank you Dr. Malik. He is a brilliant Neurologist. Dr. Malik was the best Dr. I have seen in years. He was very caring. He took the time to listen to my concerns and discuss my history. Then he proceeded to explain so many things that no one had ever taken the time to explain before. I felt very informed and well taken care of when I left his office. I highly recommend this Dr.

Have seen him since 2012. Absolutely no help with my chronic migraine. Just kept pushing pills. Very uncaring during visits. Have paperwork I need filled out for disability and have waited for over 2 months. For some reason I doubt I will ever get it. Will never return to him. He took my money but didn't care about my pain!

Terrible. Now two years later I am getting answers about tests done by him from other providers. Two years in which my therapy could have been targeted and was not and I am suffering not him

OFFICE STAFF IS HORRIBLE...THEY ALL NEED TO BE FIRED, FROM THE RECEPTIONIST TO THE OFFICE MANAGER! BAD COMMUNICATION, NO ONE PASSES MESSAGES ALONG, NO ONE KNOWS WHATS GOING ON! I HAD TO PERSONALLY FOLLOW UP REGARDING CONCERNS WHICH IS HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Malik has the worst bedside manner of any doctor I have ever encountered. Very demeaning to his patients.

I have been to a few Drs and this one as to be the worst! His staff is soooo rude. The office is small, old and smells funny. He only talked to me for less than 5 minutes and all I got was over priced Benadryl and a bill over $200 for the visit. That's with good insurance. Please go somewhere else. If I could them a half star I would.

Amazing bedside and knowledge

Dr.. Malik was a breath of fresh air after 18 years of seeing doctors for back and leg pain. He listened, He reviewed my entire history item by item. He spoke to me with respect and was straightforward. He explained things, and though prognosis isn't great, he explained all options and what and why he was giving the recommendation that he was. If all doctors were this professional and knowledgeable with his level of communication skills I would have much more faith and Western medicine! Dr.. I had been having difficulty swallowing and eating for months. I was terrified, exhausted and starving. Dr. Malik was kind at first, gave me a neurological once over, and was promptly done with me. When I asked questions, he impatiently tapped his fingers, not even trying to hide his haste. He told my doctor it was anxiety. I REPEATEDLY told everyone it was not anxiety. Because of his negligence, I was transferred to North Kansas City Hopital, where Dr, Thornton correctly identified my issue as dystonia. Many doctors and clinics were willing to work with me financially due to hardship, but his office was not. They charged me full price for 15 minutes of negligence, albeit on a payment plan. A very thorough and engaging doctor. Although he was willing to prescribe whatever meds necessary, he wanted to find the root causes of my problems. He was great at alleviating worst case fears. My initial visit was about an hour and was most thorough. The follow up was too. He was reluctant to add prescriptions to my list, so he started on a low dose on one. For another condition he encouraged me to cope and not medicate. He’s a winner. A very thorough and engaging doctor. Poor bedside manner. Very curt with answers. Got the impression we were wasting his time. Waiting on test results. We'll see how he is at that appt. Would be thrilled if I don't have to see him again.

He is the best and I have been to more than one Neurologist. He helped me with my migraines and also helped my Mom with dementia. He is wise, caring and compassionate.

Dr Malik has been amazing! I have been going for years. I had a previous neurologist who found Chiari Malformation and stopped looking after that. I had the brain surgery for Chiari, but soon after lost my site. Dr Malik worked very hard to get answers. I was diagnosed with MS and he's been absolutely amazing! He is up to date with the treatments and has always been able to see me when a flare up or attack happen. I have even taken my special needs daughter that has seizures and I trust very few people with her. Fabulous man, kind, caring and extremely knowledgeable! Dr Malik has been amazing! Helped me deal with migraines and went above and beyond

I love Dr Malik wouldn't have anyone else managing my MS. He is kind, thoughtful, and helps empower me to make decisions about my health care.

Horrible. Went there and feel worse now then I did. No real answers that he'll stick to and a big waste of time after a year I believe I am done.

Horrible doctor. Waste of money

After visiting a different neurologist -- who I did not like and who did not tell me anything I didn't already know -- for cluster headaches, I was re-referred to Dr. Malik. He listened to my story, reviewed my chart, history, and tests with me (including spending a LONG time going over my recent cranial MRI, which was both informative and comforting), and then talked WITH me rather than TO me about my condition and my options. His accent was a bit thick, but you can tell right away that he knows his stuff. Highly recommended.
