He refused to treat my mother and cancelled the appointment she had been waiting for a long time. Now my mother is sick and chances are it could of been avoided, since she NEEDED to see an endocrinologist. The reason he refused to treat my mother is because he said she has "TOO MANY" medical issues and he doesn't want to deal with it. I guess its better that he was honest that he is not suited to do his job. Stay vigilant and alert with this doctor. I would recommend visiting someone else.

I wish I was able to give zero stars. Dr. Alavi treated me like a child, and made me feel stupid for coming to his office even though I had a doctor referral. I struggle from PCOS and I was hoping to get help from Dr. Alavi. He yelled at me for not transferring over my latest test results even though they were there he just didn't check. For someone who is supposed to specialize in endocrinology, he sure as hell wasn't any help. I would strongly suggest finding someone else.

I've been seeing Dr. Alavi for seven years. He has great bedside manner, explains everything, you can ask him questions without fear that they are stupid. I highly recommend him.

This Dr is very abrupt with his visits. No personality at all. Makes you feel guilt about coming to the DR. Questions like why are you here? Ummm I am a diabetic, I need to a Dr on a somewhat regular basis. Odd bedside manor. The biggest reason that I left him, is he sent me for Blood tests and he charged me an office visit to read the results??? WHO DOES THAT. Even the billing department thought that was odd. Very unethical if you ask me. That is a Dr, working the system.
