Aditya Kanesa-Thasan

I would highly recommend Dr, Kanesa-tasen. I have seen him at least 10 times over the last 6 months for a variety of issues related to my eyes, including cataract surgery for both eyes, and he was consistently calm, kind and competent. He never made me feel rushed. He was great at explaining things and answering questions. My surgeries went very without complications. His office and staff are also capable and friendly.

The best surgeon I found in Philadelphia and the suburbs. The surgery and follow-up were superb. I would highly recommend Dr. Kanesa-Thasan.

Dr. Kanesa-Thasan has to be the overall best ophthalmologist I have ever seen! Both my husband and I are patients. Dr. K takes time with you, listens to your concerns, asking questions and provides his patients with the best care. He is personable and doesn't rush you out. He is a consummate professional!

Came into the office in Paoli the staff greeting me professionally and kindly, Felt Real Special. Everyone walked through all the steps of what they were doing and explained all the results with no problems. Doctor Kanesa-thasan Walked me through everything and explained even further details of what they can do and ASKED if i still wanted to go through with it all, which i agreed to it all because i was tired of glasses. It has been several months since the procedure of LASIK which is so worth the Money, I'm was seeing better on day one and now it has gotten even better, bright lights don't bother me at nights(so glare is done). Absolutely the best experience in all aspects of professional service. From preoperative visits and exams, the surgical procedure itself, and the follow up exams, Doctor K. was, without a doubt, worthy of the highest praise. Prior to my cataract surgery I was fearful that the outcome would be much less than totally successful. Dr. K. understood my concerns completely and gave me total peace of mind. I have worn glasses since childhood, but now I no longer have to wear glasses, contact lens, or reading glasses. My world is now a whole lot brighter!

Dr Kanesa answers all of your questions and performed my cataract surgery without issues. He has an excellent manner with patients. I highly recommend him.

I was fortunate to have found Dr. Aditya Kanesa-thasan due to my usual opthamology practice at Penn Radnor Sheia Institute being unable to accommodate me for an emergency appt. I called around and Dr Kanesa-thasan was able to fit me in later that day. From the moment he came in the examining room, I was immediately put at ease with his calming and kind demeanor. He was thorough and knowledgeable as well, and not at all rushed. I am so lucky to have found him and highly recommend him.

Dr. Kanesa did cataract surgery on both eyes. He was very thorough before, during and after the surgeries. I have never been to a doctor who genuinely took the time to get to know his patient and he made sure your concerns were answered. Dr. Kanesa is one of nicest Dr.'s I have ever been to. He is humble, kind and he takes the time to give you a detailed explanation about your procedure. I had two cataract surgeries with him and both procedures went beautifully. Another thing I like about his practice is that you are never left waiting to see him for your scheduled appointment. Not like other Dr.'s waiting rooms where you can be left waiting for 45 minutes or more. I highly recommend Dr. Kanesa. His staff is equally kind and attentive.

Dr. Kanesa-Thasan helped solve the puzzle when it came to my vision. He was patient and took the time to really diagnose my eye condition. Dr. Kanesa-Thasan took a different approach that my past three eye doctors never took which is what helped diagnose my eye problems. I highly recommend him!!! If you have eye problems, he will figure it out.

Doc did cataract surgery (both eyes). Very thorough before, during and after. Explained everything a patient needs to know. Listen to my concerns and response to my needs. Patient oriented!!! Hard to find that these days. Could not have been happier with his service. Answered all questions I had.

Dr. Kanesa is the best! I have seen my share of eye doctors over the years and there is just something about Dr. Kanesa’s patience and kindness that sets him apart from the rest. I drive a very worthwhile hour to see him for my frequent follow-up appointments. He gladly answers all of my many questions about my severe dry eye concerns and really goes above and beyond to ensure that I leave the office that day feeling comfortable with next steps for my treatment. I feel that he genuinely cares about my eye health and overall well-being. Dr. Kanesa is top notch!

Dr. Kanesa-thasan is such a wonderful and kind doctor with great bedside manner. I was visiting family in the area from out of town and had an emergency eye situation that needed to be addressed fairly quickly. Dr. Kanesa-thasan made every effort to accommodate my schedule and communication with him and his office staff was very easy. He is extremely knowledgeable and made me feel comfortable and relaxed through a procedure I was nervous about. He was kind enough to make a follow up appointment for me with a doctor near my home to make sure I was continuing to heal well. Even though the situation with my eye was stressful, I feel like I was in such great hands with Dr. Kanesa-thasan. I cannot recommend him highly enough.

My experience was OUTSTANDING from the time I entered the Paoli Eye Institute until my exams and testing were completed. After wearing glasses for seventy years for a complicated prescription and astigmatism, what a wonderful choice. Dr. Kanesa is so knowledgeable and kind, explaining every issue with films and scans taken at their offices. Again, after all of these years of annual checkups, my visits have never been so thorough. He took the time to get to know me, my medical and eye health history and provided a thorough exam, answered all my questions and offered good advice. I had the good fortune to meet Dr. Kanesa when he joined the practice at Galib Eye Institute in Paoli, PA where I have been a longtime patient. He completed his residency at Wills Eye which gave me confidence in his ability to perform my cataract surgery. My experience with Dr. Kanesa has been outstanding. I was referred to him for an eye condition that could no longer be treated by my ophthalmologist. Dr. Kanesa is extremely thorough and explained all of the testing necessary to confirm his diagnosis. All testing was performed at the initial appointment, eliminating the need for multiple appointments and allowing me to begin treatment immediately. My condition has improved considerably and my first follow up appointment was just as thorough as my initial appointment. Dr. Kanesa listens, explains and is confident in his decisions and plan of care. I highly recommend him and this practice. The staff is also wonderful!

I was referred to Dr. Kanesa and was able to secure an appointment relatively quickly. Once I arrived, his staff was very warm and made me feel comfortable. When Dr. Kanesa walked in, we spend a great deal of time discussing my eye sight, and options to improve it. I must say, I was really happy with the amount of time he gave me, and the thoroughness of the evaluation. By the end of the visit, we had discussed a number options and landed on a very low risk, high impact plan of care. I would strongly recommend Dr. Kanesa to anybody looking for expert advice.

Dr Kanesa took care of my right cornea ulcer. He is a knowledgeable and compassionate Dr. He ordered every possible test and performed biopsy to find out what was the problem. Ordered medication etc. He explained the medication and procedures in detail. He is a great Dr and wonderful person who makes the patient feel taken care of and being #1. Just wanted to say thank you very much Dr Kanesa you will be missed in Florida.

I was treated by Dr. Aditya Kanesa-thasan at Bascom Palmer when I had viral pink eye. I was in so much discomfort for so long, and I saw two other doctors before hand who barely gave me the time of day. I was frustrated, and Dr. Kanesa was the doctor that jumpstarted my healing process. Not only did he spend MUCH more time with me than my other doctors, but his calming aura and professionalism made my experience so comfortable and easygoing. Great doctor.

Dr. Aditya Kanesa-Thasan treated my 3:30 AM post corneal transplant emergency while in a fellowship at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute (BPI), Palm Beach Gardens. His low key professionalism kept my wife and I calm while he cared for me in BPIs CoVi semi-closed facility. Dr. Kanesa treated the unavoidable condition efficiently and effectively.
