Alan Garvin Anz

I got my knee replaced in Feb of 2022. He said it could take a year to get back to "normal" Went back after 13 months and my knee still hurts, just a different pain than before. It is a lot harder to go up and down steps than it was before his operation. He said that i needed to work on my quad and he gave me some exercises. Nothing has helped. He keeps saying that it will get better soon. When is soon?? My knee is not getting better, infact' it is getting worse. I have seen him about five times after the replacement. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND HIM FOR A REPLACEMENT!!!!

Dr Anz and his staff are very professional and effective

Dr Anz did a great job giving me an injection in my knee. Dr Anz & his staff were friendly & very efficient.

Dr. Anz is a very good doctor. He has done 2 total knee replacements and1 hip replacement for me . I recommend him to everyone.that needs a knee or hip replacement. His staff is also excellent.

Dr. Anz has done replacements on both left and right hips. He has just the right amount of care and humor. His skill is outstanding as I have completely recovered to a life without pain and better than it was before.

Awesome care. Dr. Anz takes the time to explain everything to you in terms you can understand. He also helps come up with alternatives when one plan doesn’t work at this time. I would highly recommend him.

Dr. Anz's office was very helpful in arranging for a quick appointment. I was seen on time; Dr. Anz explained everything clearly, answered my questions, and was willing to spend time with me. This was a very positive experience.

Terrific treatment. Dr. Anz took his time with me, asking many questions and listening to my answers. He moved up my surgery because of my pain.

He has a calm, thorough approach, and has clear explanations.

He was through, ready to listen to you. Gave his own shots, would recommend him.

This was my initial visit. Doctor Anz was very good to visit with, and his entire crew put me at ease.

Dr Anz saw me on Tuesday for my knees. I have had several visits to his office and all of them have been professional, kind and quick. I can highly recommend him to anyone, just as he was recommended to me before my first appointment! Kind, down to earth and gracious!

Very good service answered my questions and explained everything so I could understand

I have had total knee replacements and one hip replacement surgery with DrAnz. I healed remarkably quickly and was back to normal activities much sooner than expected. So pleased with Dr Anz and his amazing staff!

I had such fear and apprehension prior to the surgery - heard about too many bad outcomes. My fears were totally unfounded. Dr. Anz took all necessary precautions in taking care of me. It has been three months and I am walking pain free and able to do just about anything. Like I have heard before, “I wish I had done it sooner”.

Thorough competent, staff is superb

Dr. ANZ listens to his patients! I needed both a hip and knee replaced. The doctor recommended the hip first but my knee was more painful. He listened and was able to put in a partial knee replacement. I listened to him and am glad I did. His use of glue instead of staples allows showering immediately and looks better. His office staff, especially Rachel is awesome to answer questions and get medicine refills. I truly recommend Dr. ANZ for knee replacement surgery. BTW I'm 3 weeks post op writing this. I highly recommend Dr. Alan Anz! He is friendly, attentive and thorough. He did my total knee replacement 3 weeks ago and my recovery has gone swiftly and smoothly so far. The staff at COG is very friendly and efficient. The office runs on time consistently.

As usual, an excellent visit. Every aspect of the medical services provided by Dr Anz and his team were exemplary.

I had seen a couple different surgeons who didn’t want to replace my mangled knee because I have Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. EDS can cause complications and must be handled delicately with plenty of planning. Dr. Anz took on the challenge, doing tests, making plans, studying other EDS outcomes to prepare both himself and me. The knee he selected to replace mine was non-standard bc of EDS and has worked beautifully. Dr. Anz and his team did a fantastic job from start to finish. The surgery went well and I am no longer suffering severe pain in the knee or referred pain in my hip. The Force App was extremely useful and I liked being able to message the team if needed. I’m glad I chose to keep looking until I found the caring, compassionate, and talented surgeon named Dr. Anz.

Dr. Anz answered my questions and was helpful in deciding best course of treatment.

Love Dr. Anz!! When I tell people that Dr. Anz is my orthopedic doctor I always get “ oh wow! I heard he’s real good”. Super nice and very professional.

The scar I have from my hip surgery I would consider PERFECT. It is very smooth and you can hardly see it. It was very caring, well mannered and I really liked him a lot.

Dr Anz is amazing and his staff exceptional. I recommend him to my family and friends. They are so organized made my knee replacement go smooth.

Dr. Anz is a great orthopedic surgeon. I went to Hom 2 years as he prescribed alternatives to knee replacement. When it was time, I had a thorough explanation of the process and his great team took care of me.

I had a total replacement of my right knee in 2018 by Dr. Anz and was extrey satisfied, so back for my left. Dr. Anz is very friendly, approachable and professional. He shows you the x-rays and carefully explains the problem and the course(s) of action. He also points out actions that should be taken for the best outcome (pre-op exercise, weight loss, etc.) He doesn't seem to rushed and takes needed time to answer question and explains things. Also his team...Kathleen and sss are very friendly and thorough and explain all the "things" that will happen leading up to surgery.
