Very nice and caring doctor.

I wish I had read prior reviews before wasting my time calling every day for an appointment. I was referred by my doctor and like others, called several times with no return call. I explained I was a new patient and wanted to make an appointment with anyone in the office. I have never experienced this service from any other doctor. It is very unprofessional! Dr. Cohen is so great with my mom. He takes a lot of time and expanines things really well and we feel special when we leave an appointment. Love this Doctor!!!

He is the best, he cared and checked me out for my Neuropathy, I had a cat scan and 9 different blood tests done in Januray of this year 2020. I am ok, peace of mind. I thanked him from the bottom of my heart for seeing me. I had been to Los Alamitos Emergency three times in three months. Burning up from ankles to head, called 911 twice and drove myself in the last time at 4 pm. Dr. Ramezan refused to help me, See his review.Thank God for Dr. Allen Cohen.

I have left several messages. All I want is an appointment. I wonder if the doctor is too busy or is unaware of the way patiences are being ignored.

Cohen ordered an MRI brain scan. Two weeks later and I have not received test results. Called the office and was told his nurse would call me back with the results that was yesterday. This lack of response is unacceptable and demonstrates a lack of respect towards the patient. Alan, the patients are the reason you are in practice. P. S. I have found another neurologist. Dr. Cohen is an excellent doctor who cares about his patients. He spends times with his patients and doesn't rush our visits.

If I could it would be a big zero! I saw Dr. Alan Cohen last year (2017) for phantom pain in amputated leg. He prescribed medication for restless legs then for seizures. I called the office at least 30 times. No one returned my calls. ONE TIME someone answered said he would be out a month. Returning in October. Again I called several times. Left message. No return calls. Blue shield was called. I complained no one answered phone or no callbacks. Nothing 2018 I fell, fractured amputated leg. My Dr referred me again to Dr. Alan Cohen. No answers no calls returned...even to my Dr. office. They call several (5?) My Dr office called 3:23/2018 am. They refused to see me as I put grievance to my insurance co..for no response from Cohens office. Low & behold, they NOW have someone answering their office phone. Told this poor employee my plight. Would transfer me to extension where someone is..had my doubts, sure enough a recording. I left a message I’m giving this group a f for FAILURE., on their sight. Gave them another f to my insurance group. Maybe Medicare could check them as I called them. Go to this group at your own risk. They don’t care what so ever about a persons needs.
