Alan Martin Linder

I saw Dr Linder earlier in 2021. My objectives for the medical visit were very specific: to have a medical form requested by my employer signed off by the doctor (which has never been a problem with any other doctor I'd ever visited), and to get my annual medical exam -something I communicated to Linder's staff at the time I made the appointment. The day of the appointment the check in was uneventful and the patient care went normal until I met Linder. His first words coming out of his mouth as soon as he entered the room were "why are you here". No good morning, no introduction, no smile, just a grumpy old man who probably didn't want to be on the job that day. Things got worse therefrom as I mentioned to Linder that I needed a medical form signed off - something he refused to do, which cost me having to pay to go see a more professional doctor who did what every other doctor has doctor has done whenever I needed a medical form signed -they did their job and signed it off. To make things worse, I made the innocent mistake of asking Linder about a colonoscopy examination because I am over 50 and have not yet had one. Linder diverted the conversation and started selling me the DRE which I had already discussed with a previous medical professional who told me flat out that the DRE was obsolete and didn't come close to the level of examination and the value of the colonoscopy. Being that I didn't really know how shady Linder was, I agreed to the DRE when he asked me if I wanted the test done right there and then, and had to pay for a useless test and a totally wasted medical visit that didn't take care of any of my patient needs. My opinion after having been to Linder one too many times and after having had several months to think about this awful experience is that some people just don't know when to retire. Truly unprofessional, flat out awful experience. I would like to end my review on a positive note and say that after wasting my money and my day seeing Linder, I had to go to another doctor to take care of my medical forms and my other medical needs. She is very professional yet friendly, and that's all you need from a medical provider.
