Extremely rude Doctor! Terrible personality, very quick to snap back at you. Never calls back at all and when he finally did. He was so nasty. I will not be going back to him ever!. Who does he think he is? Not only is so sarcastic, the office staff is terrible. They do not return calls, they are very abrupt and not friendly at all. Do not go here. I am a dentist so I have a feel for the capability of other health practitioners. Dr. Schecter is the greatest. First of all, his listening skills are excellent. Secondly he answers every question succinctly and quickly. This indicates he knows his material thoroughly. I never feel rushed. He goes out of is way to be extra helpful. I have been going to Dr. Scheckter for several years now. I have COPD and emphysema and he has been treating me for this for these conditions. He is very patient, kind, and considerate.Personally I wouldn’t go anywhere else I have been to several pulmonologist prior to finding Dr. Scheckter and have not gotten the great care that I received from him. I would highly recommend him along with the other doctors in the practice of Nassau Chest.

I am a medical professional myself, a dentist. So I have a feel for what is good. He is absolutely a wonderful physician. He is personable and explains everything clearly. I can tell he knows his medicine well by how easily it comes from him. I never feel rushed.

Dr.Schecter is a master at loving his patients and his profession. He’s a true genius and humble doctor.

I have been a patient of Dr. Schecter's for nearly 20 years now. I had severe asthma as a child and started seeing him when I was 5 years-old. I am now well-controlled with medications and have not had an asthma attack since I started seeing him. Great doctor.
