Dr. Schliftman knows his stuff and knows the system. He set my daughter up with the right prescription for her severe eczema and it was a godsend. His office handled all the insurance approvals. Can't thank Dr. Schliftman enough!

Dr Schliftman was recommended by a colleague, and at first I was hesitant to access care at such a large multi-specialty organization. I was concerned that I would not get the individualized care that we all want from our providers. I was completely wrong! From the appointment, to check-in and MOST ESPECIALLY with Dr Schliftman, I felt like the only patient there. I saw Dr Schliftman due to my concern about strong family history of skin cancer. He did a complete body assessment and assured me (in the very nicest way) that my little skin issues were simply part of aging :) He put my mind at ease and gave me great info. Highly recommend! I have been a patient of Dr. Schliftman since I was 12 years old (20+ Years) for a variety of skin issues. I have also brought my son to him as well. He is easy to talk to and has a great bedside manner. He has a wide range of experience and skill and my appointments with him are always low anxiety. Glad to have a Doctor like this in my court. Worst doctor experience I’ve ever had. Dr Schliftman was rude, inconsiderate and unhelpful. Have never experienced or even heard of a doctor acting so disinterested in a patient’s condition and treatment even acting annoyed. He told me I misused the medication he prescribed and when I mentioned I followed the instructions on the prescription he raised his voice and yelled at me that I didn’t do what he told me to. Dr Schliftman would barely take any time to explain my condition and treatment making it clear he couldn’t get out of the exam room fast enough. He actually walked out of the room as I was attempting to ask him questions. What answers I did get were short, rude and not informative. He further demonstrated his professionalism and concern for a patient by telling me my condition was “a nightmare” from the hallway with the exam room door open. Only referral I would make for Dr Schliftman would be to the medical review board.

I am a long time patient of Dr. Alan Schliftman from when he had his own practice. Since joining westmed he does not have much time to spend with patients, as they over-schedule him leaving him about 5 minutes with each patient. Because of this, Dr. Schliftman is hard to get an appointment with, because his expertise, professionalism and kindness is in high demand. That it is impossible to reach even his nurse is a black mark on westmedgroup for not having enough staff. Dr. Schliftman still is a gem and top of his class! Saw him for a skin cancer screening. Shortest screening ever (about 5 minutes). He was more concerned about talking about himself in front of the much younger nurse practitioner. So now I get to pay his bill with no faith in his screening and continue my search for a professional opinion.

Dr. Schliftman has been helping me with a very embarrassing problem, and I couldn't be happier with him as a doctor. He is honest, listens, and hasn't taken the situation lightly, as I feel many doctors tend to. I'm very grateful for him, and have recommended him to everyone I know with any skin issues.

Did a biopsy of a mole and ?lost? the mole.Called me next day and said they had found a specimen and it came back benign, but he ?couldn?t be 100% sure that it was my mole that was found and biopsied.I then asked him if HE had looked to see if it was my mole.He replied,?No, I look at hundreds of moles every day, so I wouldn?t be able to tell if it was your mole anyway.Called me next day.Said he looked and it wasn't mine and that I wouldn't be billed (I was).Now I have a terrible scar for nothin

Doctor shows up 30 minutes late for a 10:15AM appointment - when pointed out to him that he is late - instead of apologizing or explaining - his response is I am a physician - I am usually an hour late - go find a new doctor. For my wife he missed a mose cell - so we are taking his advice and finding a new doctor - BTW this is the only review I have written in the last 5 years - I am not a complainer - this doctor is a zero - time for him to retire.

Worst experience in the so called health "care" after the first visit that literally lasted 5 minutes, it was impossible to reach the doctor or his staff nurses to tell them that what prescribed is causing me unbearable side effects so I stopped the medication on my own and waited for my follow up visit to complain.
