Alexander Gordon

I waited 6 months for an appointment to see Doctor Gordon because I heard he was the best and after waiting 6 more months to get a TKR now I understand why. His staff Sarah, and Chad complete Dr. Gordon’s team who stand alone. They answered every question about my upcoming surgery and me feel good about my decision for the replacement. If anyone is thinking about getting their knee replaced I have no problem recommending Dr. Gordon and his team.

I went through many different doctors during almost two years with a problem of my painful leg.I am very happy to find Dr Gordon as my orthopedic.He is very professional and knowledgeable in his orthopedic field. Also, very kind and caring. He immediately got deep into my issue.He discovered the diagnose and made a treatment plan for me. I am very thankful and highly appreciate Dr Gordon and his staff.

Dr. Gordon and his staff were fantastic. Everything about my hip replacement was explained to me and any and all questions were answered clearly. As a high school basketball referee and softball umpire I was quite nervous to have what sounded like an extremely serious operation. But 6 months after my surgery I was umping games and this season I’ve officiated 30 HS games with quite a few to follow and my hip is fine! My only advice is to pull the trigger and do it! Get out of pain!! And have trust in Dr. Gordon and his team

Dr. Gordon and his staff are the best. They replaced my left hip about 15 months ago. Can’t believe the difference it made. And like so many others wish I had done it sooner. But the experience with Dr. Gordon and IBJI was top notch.

Dr. Gordon replaced my left knee and obtained the care I needed when I COULDN'T take pain meds.Since then he has monitored my right knee, my back, and my right hip. I researched a number of Orthopedic surgeons to address degenerative osteoarthritis in my joints before I was recommended to Dr. Gordon and his team; Sara Kilker and Chad Anderson. They are a brilliant trifecta; highly responsive, kind and caring. Dr. Gordon is an excellent surgeon who stays abreast of new techniques, technologies and products. He performed a total right hip replacement (anterior approach) in 2019 and a complicated total left knee replacement (including bone grafting) in 2021. I have recommended Dr. Gordon to many friends. I’ve been very fortunate to have Dr Gordon perform both my hip and knee replacements (luckily on separate occasions). And although I had a few health issues which complicated things the procedures were extremely successful and I’m back to living a normal life again! I can’t thank Dr Gordon and his team enough-wonderful job guys!

Dr. Gordon completed a total knee replacement assisted by MAKO, the robot. My whole experience, which includes presurgery, surgery, post surgery and physical therapy, exceeded my expectations. My arthritic knee crippled me for 3 years together with a bowed shin. My damaged knee was replaced with a Stryker Triathelon and this device transformed my leg to a functioning limb, including a straightened shin. Right hip replacement I was very pleased with Doctor Gordon's responses to my questions and resolution to my problem. His team Sarah and Chad were wonderful and patient. I asked many questions and sent many emails. The responses were timely and comforting. They never made me feel like I was bothering them or asking too much! My recovery has been amazing...two weeks and 5 days since surgery and walked 2.5 miles painlessly...no cane or tylenol. After two weeks of recovery I was given the all-clear to do anything my body allowed me to do except for tennis , golf and pickleball. Seems like a miracle. Next hip November! Dr G is a top notch surgeon. He has a great bedside manner. I've had two total knee replacements and both were very successful. So many employees I met and each hospital also used Dr Gordon for knees and hips. If I need hip surgery I would definitely use Dr Gordon again. My only concern is the wait time at the Ibji office. There is a bit of a wait time to see him. Chad is great as well; easy to talk to and is very reassuring. Both Dr Gordon and Chad are very good at explaining the procedure. I had both hips replaced by Dr. Gordon and I told everyone they were almost non-events. Little to no pain after surgery and was able to walk within a day of both surgeries with little difficulty. After physical therapy both hips are like new and I am able to go for long walks and use my rowing machine with no pain or difficulty. I found Dr. Gordon to be a good listener and he explained in detail what the procedures would be and what to expect. I read a one star review and can't believe it was the same doctor. I highly recommend Dr. Gordon.

I notice Dr. Gordon specializes is hip and pelvic bones but he gave me a knee replacement that I cannot begin to say what a marvelous job he did. I was up and walking without a cane, walker and driving a car within two weeks. My pain was kept under control and I did physical therapy. I now am kneeling during my gardening and I had the operation when I was 78 - he is amazing.

I had a hip replacement done by Dr. Gordon. It was a great experience. He did a great job and exactly 2 months after the operation, I took a trip to New Zealand with my daughter . I was able to keep up with her on some pretty difficult trails and even some rock climbing. Awesome. PS If you ever have the chance to go to New Zealand..... take it!!! Stunning! Over the past year and a half, Dr. Gordon has replaced both of my knees. He and his team are absolutely the best, totally understanding and caring and always professional. I would (and already have) recommended him to anyone in need of surgery. My biggest mistake was waiting too long. I should have done it five years earlier. Dr.Gordon is a true expert in anterior approach hip replacement. He performed right total hip arthroplasty for me on March 29 2018. I spent two nights in the hospital and five nights in rehab with physical therapy. I was able to walk without cane on April 6 2018, drive on April 10 2018. I will return to work April 16 2018. I had both hips replaced 6 months apart from each other. I never think about my hips not belonging to me and forget I had them dobe. Highly recommend the anterior approach with Dr. Gordon. I have had both my hips replaced by Dr. Gordon within a period of 5 months. I could not be happier with the results of both procedures! Not only is he obviously a skilled Orthopedic Surgeon, he is a pleasure to deal with on a personal and professional level. His office runs like clockwork, and his staff is outstanding as well. He seems to really care about each patient and their desires to return to their favorite activities free of pain, thanks to his expertise.

He and his staff were professional, charming and cordial. I felt like my surgery was a miracle. His PA said he would challenge me to a tennis game. Of course I thought I would never play again. Within six months after surgery I was on the courts and felt as if I never had a hip problem.

Had left total knee replacement Aug 2017 after 4 months of pain, using a walker and having seen 6 ortho surgeons for evaluation. So happy I decided on Dr. Gordon. Could walk the same day, no pain, great follow-up and PT coming to home. Very happy with the outcome. Thank you.

My wife had hip surgery this time last year I had mine done on Feb 5th 2018. I.have had minimal pain and my gait is much better already. I do my homework on many matters and i can tell you Dr. G is the man!!! If your lifestyle is comprised by your hip andsurgery is recommended, dont wait!! Life is too short and you his aint no dress rehearsal!!

2 hips in little over 2 hours a piece of cake. Was known as the man with 2 hips like it was a big deal. Was walking the halls 6 hours after surgery and stairs the next day. Was amazed how fast I was able to assume normal functions. Walking fast, bending down, two stairs at a time, putting on socks. Back skating, something I never thought i would do again and my slap shot is as good as the night I damaged my hips. Not bad for 80 yrs old. Every ones life experiences should be this successful,

Dr has replaced both of my knees and one of my hips over the last ten years. I am a medical professional and very careful who I choose to be my personal physician. Professional, courteous and knowledgeable all rolled into one practitioner. I have recommended him to friends and family. Staff is quite wonderful also.

I walked around in excruciating pain for 6+ years. My arthritic hip affected not only my hip, but my upper and lower back. I'm in the healthcare field and had been very active until my hip limited me in every aspect of my life. I don't like taking drugs and subsequently relied on Ibuprofen and Tylenol only. They did not offer me much relief. Thursday June 8, 2017 Dr Gordon replaced my left hip.Now I forget I have a hip replacement. Don't wait.

Dr Gordon replaced my hip and knee (2016 & 2017), both at Thanksgiving week. The initial worries were about losing: time at work and having daunting holidays. My family surprised me with their enthusiasm for the holidays. Life went on at the school and my students were thrilled when I returned. When you choose a doctor you may not know how effective their team may be in the surgical process. Dr Gordon and his staff are a complete package of excellence!

Left hip replacement in June 2016. Surgery and recovery went smoothly, no complications. Dr. Gordon, his staff and that of IBJI were very professional and courteous.

Dr. Gordon performed knee replacement surgery on my right knee. The surgery was performed 6 months ago. I have no pain and just a tiny bit of stiffness which is alleviated when I do my exercises daily. Not only is Dr. Gordon a skilled surgeon, he has a warm and caring bedside manner.. Dr A Gordon is not just an amazing Surgeon he treats his patients with care and respect. I really think you will be happy with Dr Gordon and his whole crew. I do not like many drs and am very skeptical of them. Dr Gordon is kind and happily put up with me and my too many questions. Most important ,he must be a wonderful surgeon. I am no longer in pain after having my hip and knee replaced. Check him out and don't wait as long as I did. I feel so much better.
