Alexander Kopp

I went into the colonoscopy appointment with apprehension and a lot of anxiety. However, the moment I saw the team, I knew I was in good hands. Dr. Kopp was nice and the supportint team of nurses and technician was superb. They were warm and thoughtful people and technically excellent. I would recommend this team to my family and friends with no hesitation and am grateful that we have them to care for the patients.

Best doctor, best at diagnostics, very caring, yet worst front desk personnel. Years ago he had a wonderful front desk assistant, then she left and I left the doctor because of attitudes of the front desk person

He is extremely disrespectful as a person and a doctor. He doesn’t care about his patients and shows complete lack of empathy. It is surprising that he has an office space in such a reputable hospital.

Spent I hour with me on my yearly exam. Need I say more ?

I have had Dr Kopp operate on me on numerous occasions and I can't say enough gret things about him. Not only is Dr kopp one of the most thoughtful surgeons I have ever dealt with. He is very direct and straight to the point and tells you exactly how it is and what you have to do to get better. Every procedure I have ever had with Dr Kopp I have felt at ease going into the procedure because of how thorough he is. Stomach sickness can be a life long battle and having the right doctor to help you through the pain and the unmanageable suffering can mean all the difference in the world. Dr. Kopp is very knowledgeable and explains things completely. He takes his time with colonoscopies. Very thorough.

I'm no longer a patient having terminated 6 months ago. His office would pester me routinely with calls to schedule a colonoscopy. His bedside manner can best be described as reptilian. I must pay homage however to his NPs and PA who did provide quality care but alas he went through them like the proverbial "sand through an hourglass. I wish them all well!

Needed a PC physician. Agreed to accept me ONLY if he will also perform colonoscopy. That’s where the money is! Always late (1 hour +) for appointment. Exams don’t appear to be thorough, more involved with note taking. Had to go back to my former PC, although his practice is concierge. Life is too precious to scrimp on one’s health.

hard to make appt tge front desk sucks

front desk SUCKS BIG TIME! right now I am waiting for one hour and a half and still they don't care. Dr. Kopp is good it is why I am still with them.

Thorough and understanding yet when I was put under the meds weren't enough. I could feel the scope go down my esophagus, very uncomfortable. Th front desk really does as little as possible. Wait times are pretty unacceptable for patient care.

Dr. Kopp has been my GI doctor for over 10 years. I am certain that his care has kept me healthy and surgery free.

Dr. Kopp is a great doctor. He is very thorough, knowledgeable and direct. He runs an independent office, so the only negative is to do with scheduling/getting in to see him which is more due to front desk/size of office (i.e. not a large group of doctors where one can cover for another). Highly recommend!

Dr, Kopp is very knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with. He takes the time to explain your condition(s) and the expectations around them. He entertains all your questions and has a matter-of-fact approach and directness that I very much appreciate. I couldn't ask for more attentive care. His wife assists with the practice in the front office and is a pleasure. He is in high demand AND takes his time with patients. This can translate into occasional waits and difficulty scheduling.

The worst unresponsive staff I have ever dealt with. Putting aside the double billing for a simple annual physical which is supposed to be free. And putting aside the fact that the people who answer the phone when they talk to you about test results have no idea what you're talking about. And putting aside the fact that nobody bothers to contact you about for the follow-up issues that have to be dealt with. I find, that while the nurse practitioners there seem to know what you're doing nobody seems to bother to care to follow up with you. I joined Dr Kopp about a year ago and I am sorry I did. I worked for Dr. Kopp for just about a year. Within that year I dealt with him being disrespectful to me and other staff. I've also witnessed him belittle his wife in front of patients and other staff. He is at least an hour late for his first patient and then after that is an hour and a half late for the rest of his patients. Granted he is thorough but it's unacceptable to make patients wait that long and the get mad when they leave because they couldn't wait "for him". He sees four patients in 3 hours. Dr. Kopp is considered one of the best Gastroenterologists in the greater Boston area. I have placed my trust in his expertise for well over a decade. Dr. Kopp and his devoted office staff deserve my highest recommendation.

He will never see you unless you have surgery. And one of his receptionists (the younger one) is so unprofessional and rude. It's like you are bothering here with any interaction. Funny that I saw others commenting on the same thing. That's pretty rare to see multiple people say that but you'll see how annoying it is when you're dealing with them.

The most absolute worse place to go if you're looking for a PC. I don't know Dr. Kopp bc Ive never met him. I've only seen NP's, who have been rude and not providing any patient kindness. Takes them all day (each time) to call you back or they don't call at all. Front desk is also rude and disrespectful. This Doctor gets 1 star for me, only bc after I finally got my script after waiting 4 hrs (in pain)!! I"ll never go back. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!

Dr. Kopp is absolutely fantastic. Very thorough and caring of his patients well being. Would give more stars if possible. Thank you Dr. Kopp for taking care of my husband and I.

No proper follow-up; Rude reception staff.. very weird response to phone calls (especially by the front desk). The nurses are fine; the doctor - you see him rarely in the office!
