This doctor saved my life! I went to Atlantic City Hospital in Pomona and the other doctors sent me home...said I had the flu. I got worse and came back the next day. This doctor discovered I had Cecul Volvulus and he operated right away. Thank you. I'm 72 now and I'm okay. I'm able to work every day.

Dr. O is a no nonsense doctor. He will not sugar coat anything, and that is something you need in a doctor. He is extremely thorough and knowledgeable, and I went into my gastric sleeve surgery 5 days ago knowing exactly what to expect, no surprises. While he is serious, he also has a sense of humor. I did not find him rude or condescending at all, and when I did wrong he called me out on it. If you can't face your missteps and own up to your own mistakes, he is not the doctor for you; he does not coddle. I did my research and he was the best fit for me.

ignored my phone call when i had pain after a procedure. i ended up with a hole in my intestine and needing a bag. horrible bedside manner

The nurses and doctor were very rude. I had to wait about a month and a half for the clearance of my medication. Doctor was only in the room for about 1 minute.

I had the gastric bypass surgery. Dr. O is the best in the business. He takes time and makes sure you get the best surgery for YOU. If you are considering the surgery make an appointment and check it out.

Almost 2 months post op(vsg) and I feel great! Dr. O is the best and I highly recommend him! Surgery went well, slight pain for 3-4 days after but nonetheless was back to work 2 weeks later. Thank you for my tool Dr. O and for helping me to change my life for the better!!!!

Dr. O is excellent!!! My surgery was virtually painless my incisions are tiny and healed quickly. I was back to work in two weeks. Dr. O is a great doctor!! Tells you like it is with a soft spot.

Dr. O is an excellent doctor. He is thorough and detailed. I would say a very analytical thinker as well. However, if you want a doctor who will lie to you and tell you everything is rainbows and sunshine when it’s not, he is not for you. Dr. O, understandably, takes great pride in his work so when a patient is not following instruction, he tells them. I appreciate this and I hope that from this honesty breeds long term success for us both.

I've been a patient of Dr. O for many years & you will not find a more patient, caring,genuine doctor anywhere else. He takes the time to know you and will listen & welcome your input on what's best for you & that alone makes him the top doc to me.

I have recently undergone Gastric Sleeve surgery with Dr. O. He is my hero. His program is extremely detailed and easy to follow as long as you follow it. Dr. O is a no nonsense Dr though- he will tell you how it is. I chose to follow the program by the book. My surgery date came, I was home within 24 hours and on the way to recovery. I had little to no pain post surgery (I worked out everyday for 30 days prior to surgery). I highly recommend Dr. O and his bariatric program!!!!

Dr. O is a caring and compassionate surgeon witha good sense of humor. He makes you feel at ease at your office visits and answers all of your questions to your satifaction in easy to understand language. While in the hospital after surgery he checks up on you everyday and makes sure you are getting the best care that the hospital provides.

I had gastric sleeve done several months ago by Dr.O. His job is to assess you for surgery, provide you the tools you need to succeed, this should be a positive experience. Instead he will berate you because you are obese, he already knows you have lower self esteem and NEED this surgery. If you are one of thr many to complain about it, dont expect an apology, staff will not apologize for his treatment. They will turn the situation on you and make it as if you deserved it. BEWARE!

Great doctor with a great sense of humor who really cares. Some people may say he's rough, but the truth is he gets upset when you don't follow doctor's orders. He tells you these things to make sure you're int he best health and wants to to be as well as possible. This guy changed my life....saved my life and I can't recommend him enough.

Dr. Onopchenko delivers a caring and patient spiel in promotion of his gastric bypass and gastric sleeve surgery history. On the first visit he will answer all your questions, spend as much time as you need to feel comfortable to proceed with the surgery process. After you are hooked his true colors show. He is condescending, uncaring and shows this in his unprofessional bedside manner in the visits thereafter. Please please please search him on google for other reviews!

Dr O is awesome! He gave me the tools and empowered me to change my life and I took it from there. Bypass 8 years ago and I'm maintaining my 125 lb loss. I'm extremely active now and love to run/walk 5k all the time. I believe I've added many years to my life. Thanks Dr O!!!!
