Mr. Alexander Poisik

Worst doctor ever!! He told my mom she needed a surgery urgent or she will be paralyzed. She did the surgery next day and she didn’t improve much a year later he is now saying the same thing, she needs another surgery or she will be paralyzed it seems to his selling strategy to create panic in his patients and make them have a surgery right away. It’s so obvious that he only cares about money and how much money a patient brings to him. So sad. My mom did not get the results he promised and told her that she was going to be a paralytic in a few weeks is she didn’t get a surgery, she left in tears. We consulted other doctors and they say that was not true. Creating panic is his way of making his patients panic.

I am blessed that I chose Dr. Poisik to do my back surgery. It was a complicated surgery to remove a Neurofibroma in my spine that was wrapped around my Sciatic Nerve and I was suffering from excruciating pain. The surgery was a complete success and I was able to get up and walk the very next day.

Dr. Poisik and Aungelique J Bolderson PA, provided exceptional care and precision on my subdermal hematoma that saved my life. The surgical incision was done with such care it was hidden in my hair line. Not only did they save my life, they saved my self image. Aungelique's care in removal of the Staples was done with such care it was immensely appreciated both with their work and my previous healthcare done at a less than ideal location. They answered my thousand questions and their patience and care set a new bar for my healthcare experience. I feel truly blessed.

I am a Bahamian, who was in transit after the Christmas Holiday. I took ill and had to have an emergency procedure performed within Twenty Four (24) hours, on my Nerves and Spine. Not knowing all the details of what I was facing, the procedure was a success and I am progressively recovering and thank God I am doing 100% better.

Dr. Poisik is knowledgeable, skilled, personable and a wonderful, caring surgeon. My recovery from extensive cervical spine surgery is going better than expected. I'm so pleased with all my dealings with Dr. Poisik and his staff!!!

Had a subdural hematoma. Dr. Poisik and team took less than .5 hr to surgically repair affected area. Felt great the next day following the procedure. No residual pain. 100% recovery of muscle control and mental clarity. Westside Regional staff took excellent care during my entire stay. Cannot say enough of how much I appreciated the skill and care that I received. Highly recommend contacting Dr. Poisik for neuro related issues.

I had a spinal fusion (TLIF) L5-S1 with Dr.Poisik in June 2021, i’ve been dealing with sciatica and chronic back pain for 7 years! 2 weeks post op and my pain level is ZERO! Dr. Poisik is God sent! He truly loves his job and is dedicated to his patients. I love how he sits down with you and speaks at eye level and he reassures you that everything is going to be okay and explains EVERYTHING! Dr. Poisik is very smart, confident, and he wants the very best for his patients! His surgical coordinator Lucy was More than helpful from insurance to my anxiety! I am 29 and I have my life back! My daughter had an accident in 2015 in which her L5/S1 disc was herniated causing severe sciatic pain down her thigh to her calf and she also experienced a burning/tingling sensation in her toes. Her personality had changed because of the everyday constant discomfort. After meeting with other neurosurgeon and she being in the medical field, her decision was Dr. Poisik was the only surgeon she would trust to do such a surgery. Her surgery has been a success and the first day after surgery she said “no more sciatic pain “. We could see that pleasant personality was being restored. It’s been two weeks since surgery and everyday it gets better. Thank God and Dr. Poisik. We thank Dr. Poisik for his care and letting our daughter living her life without pain.

Be warned..they are removing negative reviews. They removed mine and others. He just about crippled me, the surgery is bring redone. Did not need rods and screws., Don't go here!

Dr Poisik saved my life! I can walk because of him . He is the best!

Spent 5 minutes with me to tell me pain I have been experiencing for a year is all in my head it’s inflammation go back to my pain management doctor. Didn’t spend any time with me or address any of my concerns. Definitely won’t recommend to anyone.

After receivimg decompression / fusion surgery on my lower back, I am able to play golf without pain. I would definitely recommend Dr. Poisik.

Dr. Poisik assured me from my initial visit that the cerebral meningioma (tumor) resting on my eye socket could be removed without complications and with positive results. And he did. The headaches are gone! I live a pain free life. He is a highly skilled, extremely knowledgeable, and without a doubt a competent, reliable surgeon. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Poisik along with his assisting surgeon, A.J. I am extremely fortunate to have had Dr. Poisik as my surgeon. In addition, his office staff is stellar. Never a wait.....any and all questions answered competently.

My mom had a hemorrhagic stroke and Dr. Poisik stepped in for the emergency surgery. What a wonderful person. Very clever and his bedside manor is fantastic! My mother was always in VERY capable hands. After almost 6 weeks, she has healed so, so much and we owe this mostly to Dr. Poisik!

I fell down several concert steps and broke my back in several places. Fortunately the Dr. on staff, at Northwest Medical Center was Dr. Alexander Poisik. A wonderful man and a very caring Doctor. His staff is very professional and helpful. If you need a surgeon I highly recommend Dr Poisik.

I WISH I CAN PUT 0 STARS THIS BY FAR THE WORST UNPROFESSIONAL SURGEON. HE TOOK ME THROUGH HELL JUST SO HE CAN TELL ME MY SURGERY IS DENIED BUT BY HIM !!!! I LOST MY JOB BECAUSE OF HIM. HE WILL NEVER COME FACE TO FACE & SPEAK TO YOU AT ALL. HE ALWAYS SEND HIS COLLEAGUES. I HAD C3 C4 HERNIATED DISC’S AND I BEEN WAITING PATIENTLY FOR SURGERY. I WAS DENIED THE FIRST TIME THROUGH MY INSURANCE THEN AGAIN BECAUSE OF COVID THEN I WAS TOLD 6 WEEKS PT I DID ALL THAT. MY SURGERY WAS ORIGINALLY SCHEDULED FOR THE 26TH OF OCTOBER I HAD ALREADY STARTED MY MEDICAL CLEARANCE PREPARATION. THEN I RECEIVED A CALLED IM DENIED AGAIN SURGERY & TO COMPLETE MORE PT SO I WENT BACK & COMPLETED IT. I RECEIVED A CALL FROM LUCY TELLING ME IM APPROVED. OK I SO I START MY CLEARANCE OVER AGAIN BUT ONLY TO RECEIVE A CALL THE DOCTOR CANCELED MY SURGERY & LITERALLY TOOK THAT DAY AS HIS VACATION. I BUST OUT IN TEARS BECAUSE NO ONE TOLD ME ANYTHIN. NOW IM HERE IN THE HOSPITAL IN PAIN &THEY CANT TELL WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME

Dr. Poisok has operated on my father twice, he placed a shunt in 2014 to correct NPH, and did a revision of the same this year. Besides being a great surgeon, he is a compassionate and warm human being. He has built a fabulous team that goes above and beyond to make you feel that you are in competent and caring hands. Every one, from the appointment scheduler, to Lucy the surgical coordinator to AJ, addresses our concerns and strove to make a difficult time in our lives as easy as possible.

I saw 3 neurosurgeons before Dr Dr Poisik. The others only told me the burning..numbness and electric shocks from waist down wasnt fron my 2 ruptured discs in my lumbar. I talked to Dr Poisik for a few minutes..he understood and told me hes admitting me right then. Right across to the hospital. He had an MRI done of my neck and thoraci spine. Next morning im his second case. By thst night 80 % of pain...gone..but Saturday 100 % gone. This is the only neurosurgeon i will go to. Ive refered friends already. His staff and PA AJ are there for you every step of the way. It is hard to find a great Dr. Dr Poisik is one of them.

Had spinal fusion surgery and i am worse than before..do your homework...dont risk it

Dr. is very personable and speaks to you and not at you. Explains everything so you can understand it and answers all of your questions

When I came in with the issue of sciatica and back pain I didn't believe that it was going to be as good of surgery as it turned out to be. I am 100 percent better. All of my pain is gone. He did a fantastic job and my quality of life is significantly better.

10/10 surgery was well done. I healed great. He did amazing work.

Dr. Poisik is very thorough and understanding. He performed a microdiscectomy on my back and I had NO issues whatsoever. His office staff is nice and there is never a wait for more than 10 minutes. I was hesitant having spine surgery, but Dr. Poisik and his staff put me at ease. Dr. Poisik is a perfectionist but is the best at what he does.

Dr. Poisik saved my life! I am so grateful for having him as my neurosurgeon at my recent stay in Westside Regional Medical Center for my Craniotomy surgery. I can say so many great things about this miracle maker but I want to highlight a few: GREAT bedside manor, SUPER CARING and the ability to connect to my situation and explain everything so my wife and I felt extremely comfortable knowing everything going in before and after the very successful surgery he preformed is what stand out as the most important things to share about him. Even his Physician Assistant AJ was super caring, available and helpful at all times making my wife and I feel comfortable and educating us on what’s going on with my progress. I am very satisfied with the care that my wife received. He is the best caretaker. I have no complaints. 100/100 would recommend. He is truly excellent.

I was in a total mess with pain in my leg and numbness in my hand. I was taking pain medication and I did not know what else to do. When I met Dr. Poisik, he made me feel confident that he could do an operation to make me feel better. Within 2 weeks of surgery all of my symptoms were completely gone. I really thank Dr. Poisik for the surgery. I am 57 and finally moving forward with my life without constant pain.

Dr. Poisik is an excellent surgeon, my husband had surgery done in January and his recovery has been good. Thru out the entire time under the treatment of Dr. Poisik he has shown nothing but care and concern for my husbands treatment. The entire staff is very caring and friendly, you really feel like they care about your well being.

The treatment was excellent. The recovery was very fast. Friendly staff. I feel 100 percent better after the surgery on my back.

Dr. Poisik is the best neurosurgeon in Florida. If you are not in Florida even then come to see him! He takes the time to listen to you, he is going to evaluate you the best! He is going to try to prevent surgery if possible. He has all contacts you need to get better! Do not look anywhere else call Dr. Poisik office! Come with MRI from previous results or if you need one! He is even evaluated previous surgeries and what you can do to help yourself. I am without surgery, but given other options.

Dr. Poisik is an excellent neurosurgeon. I would definitely recommend him. He knew exactly what was wrong and how to fix my problem in my back. I can finally feel my toes and lift my leg again! Thank you!

Great doctor. He was very thorough explaining my procedure (double ACDF with fusion) & also took the time explaining it again to my family who came in before I was taken into the OR. I was released same day with no neck collar, pain is managable & neck area is a bit swollen which is expected. Other than that, it all went extremely well. I would use Dr.Pousik again for any other type of spine surgery.??

After having emergency neurological surgery for cerebral bleeding I would emphatically recommend Dr. Poisik for anyone who has a need for his talents and skills. Professional, thorough, and kind.
