Dr. Ali S Karakurum

Very shady Doctor and office practices. Do not be surprised if you start getting bills from other Physicians and Medical offices. He also tries to get you to do unnecessary procedures just to squeeze your insurance. Beware of other Gastros with similar greedy practices.

Dr. Karakumum is excellent and compassionate doctor. He is the first doctor in 40 years to actually treat my IBS. His office staff is equally excellent. I highly recommend him, especially if you have been to others for your IBS without getting any relief.

Dr. Karakurum had to put a " biliary stent" in my gallbladder after emergency gallbladder surgery in July 2021. He explained the procedure well and performed the procedure with no complications. I highly recommend Dr. Karakurum without hesitation!

Nice doctor, office girls were also nice. Wait was horrible. Had a 10:00 AM Apointment got there at 9AM was put into the room to see the doctor at 9:50 and have been sitting here since . Its now 10:45. Been in this room for almost an hour and still no doctor. Don't make an appointment here unless your willing to give up a lot of time. Caitlin one of the NPs there is hands down the best, a life saver from helping me fix my acid reflux.

I was recommended to this practice by my doctor and was quite anxious to see the doctor. My husband already had his appt and was very pleased with the doctor. Unfortunately, I can't even get in to see the doctor!! I had to cancel my 1st appt due a conflict. I rescheduled, put the time on my calendar along with the address etc. Then I moved all my meetings for the day to another day (inconveniencing my entire team at work). I get to the office to find out they don't have me on the calendar and made no effort to accommodate me. It was automatically assumed to be my mistake! I guess I just dreamt about calling the office, rescheduling and just imagined the date and time and put it on my calendar. Very disappointing!

You see the doctor only for a procedure, otherwise you see 1 of 2 NPs he hired to run his practice. Not 1 but both NPs are incapable of handling your scripts without mishaps, yes plural. You can ask them as they send it over electronically and it's still wrong when you get to pharmacy. My last straw was when I was having a procedure and they never told me when I'm supposed to stop eating or drinking. They also never called in the prep for my procedure. I'm supposed to have meds to drink the day before and not eat anything and not only was I not told about not eating but MY PREP PRESCRIPTION WAS NEVER CALLED IN. Then they tell me I can come back in 3 months and do it!!!!!!!!! I know no1 does their job anymore but how are you this TERRIBLE at your job and not get fired!?!?!?!? Courteous & Professional

Very professional staff. Got colonoscopy and endoscopy. Staff was friendly, it was very quick and painless, and results were provided to me immediately after I got the procedure. I highly recommend him if you look for an independent no affiliated gastroenterologist.

Dr. Karakurum is fantastic! I went to him a couple of years back after other doctors misdiagnosed me with IBS. He found that I actually have Celiac Disease. I finally started feeling better after I saw him. I recommend him to everyone that needs to see a GI doctor. He is so caring and thorough. I'm so thankful that I found him!

EXCELLENT Doctor! I have been a patient for years. I recently had a procedure, which of course I never look forward to, but Dr. K, his nurses and anesthesiologist, provided the best care and made me feel comfortable. I highly recommend him!

If you have a real problem, go elsewhere. Office staff is awful. PA never calls back...billing problems, forget it...very unresponsive, just tell you what you want to hear.
