I've seen a lot of doctors - as a patient and to find out cure/control my extreme facial/nerve pain. I had seen numerous dentists as I was recommended to do root canal for my pain. Then I saw number of top neurologist as well as neurosurgeons. I followed their treatment without getting any result and pain was getting worst. Then I searched on web and saw Dr. Makki's resume. With no hope on sight, I decided to call. I describing my pain to his assistant on phone. And then got appointment. On first appointment, Dr Makki took almost 2 hrs looking all all test results and examination. He was kind and caring. He explained the procedure of finding treatment. I had pain relief within two week. After 3 years with Dr. Makki, I can say he is superdoc among the best doctors.

My experience with Dr.Makki is above and beyond. He exceeds all my expectation. I visited many Dr in the field to find cure/control my pain with littlest result. Dr. figured out what medication will work in short time and that keep me going all the time. Thanks a lot.

Dr. Makki was a Godsend to me, as well. Four years ago, I was stricken by a rare brain disease. I had been to at least 5 top dental specialists in Newport Beach seeking to identify my excruciating pain. None of them were able to diagnose (and should have been because the symptoms should have been obvious to them). Dr. Makki readily identified and referred me to the best Neurosurgeon for the necessary surgery. I am grateful for his calm and warm professionalism and follow up. TU forever.

It's hard to find one but when you find, you know the difference. I visited experts in the field of neurology - physicians and surgeons, but none stands out as much as Dr. Makki. There are lots doctors and then small numbers are good doctor and then there are few super docs. I feel lucky to find one. He cares and patiently spend hours on my case including each meeting I had in last 2 years. I was lucky to find him in my low days of extreme pain that was unresolved without any relief. Dr Makki not only diagnose correctly but found an effective pain relief that allows me to enjoy regular life. I am thankful to him for his kindness and above and beyond care with knowledge and finding good solution.

Dr. Makki is the most wonderful, compassionate, genuine, amazing doctor I have ever seen (I'm a nurse, I've seen a lot of doctors - professionally and as a patient). He understands pain and the human condition. I saw him for several years. Very early on, I learned that 1) He was almost always late getting to me, but that 2) When he got to me, he took his time and made sure to address all my concerns, not make me feel rushed or like he was trying to get out of the room, and gave me 100% of his attention. He cares a great deal about all his patients. Any doctor who accomplishes this, and puts the patient first, is worth a ton. To be entirely clear, he was not late because he was slow, or because he was inept. He was late because he was spending quality time with each and every patient before me. I moved 2 hours away from the area due to my job and if my insurance had covered it, I would have made the 4 hour round trip drive to see him. A doctor like Dr. Makki is hard to find. Anyone lucky enough to be a patient of his knows this. For anyone suffering from migraines, TMJ disorders, oral pain, Trigeminal Neuralgia, pain that others have not successfully helped or diagnosed..go see Dr. Makki! Best Dr. I ever had. Knowledgeable, genuine, honest. His manner is excellent, as are his medical credentials. I trust everything he says or does. He dedicates a lot of time to understand and properly diagnose his patients. His office is very clean with professional staff. I highly recommend him. Thank you Dr. Makki.

He is one of the best.

Excellent Nuerologist! I see him for migraines. He is always very thorough and takes his time to listen, diagnose and come up with new and effective treatment plans.

Dr makki is the best neurologist. This man is a Godsend! I was treated with care and patients. Dr Makki treated me like I was a family member, I will never go to another dr. This man is amazing! Dr Makki truly cares about his patients, a rare find with todays doctors.. Highly recommended!10 stars!

Dr Makki helped me with oral issues and migraine headaches. He is the most caring, genuine doctor I have ever met. He saved my life.

Dr. Makki is truly the best doctor I have ever had the pleasure of being a patient of. His level of care and expertise is seconded to none. He goes above and beyond the call of any doctor to care about his patients as if they were family. I can not say enough about his bedside manner and how much he goes out of his way to ensure his patients get the absolute best care. If your a new patient, just give him a try. Dr. Makki is truly wonderful. I've been seeking help for my headaches and neck tightness for a very long time without any success, and then finally I found Dr. Makki, and that was an answer to my prayers. Dr Ali is the best Neuropathic pain doctor you will ever meet in your life,i have facial pain and ant crowling, he help me a lot in reducing that and i am working with him on taking it out of my life. I recommend Dr Makki to every one with facial pain .

I have seen this doctor numerous times over the past years, and by far Dr. Ali Makki is one of the best doctors I have had the pleasure to be a patient of. This review is long overdue. He is the most genuine, caring, sincere, and honest DR I have ever meet. He deeply cares about all of his patients. He never rushes, and always made me feel comfortable. He makes himself accessible to his patients. And this day in age, this is extremely uncommon. He truly is a great DR, and his love for his job shines through the care of his patients.
