Dr. Alison Brett Smoller

Dr. Smoller is a fantastic doctor in all respects! When my daughter had trouble in school, Dr. Smoller saw us in a reasonable amount of time (considering the 12-18 month waitlists or longer elsewhere), was very thorough in the background information that she asked for, reviewed the info ahead of time, and then conducted extensive testing with my daughter where we were amazed at how she zoned in on exactly what the issues were and diagnosed my daughter's condition. Dr. Smoller then helped write a report that got us the services that we needed in school and outside of school and continues to be extremely responsive and supportive in following up with us to ensure that things are going well for my daughter and to provide helpful suggestions and support for other services if needed. Dr. Smoller has gone well above and beyond the expectations in helping our daughter and is not only an amazing doctor, but a wonderful person who really truly cares about the families that she treats. I feel very fortunate to have her in our lives and highly, highly recommend her for any families with a child with autism and/or ADHD. Dr. Smoller is a fantastic doctor in all respects! Couldn't be more disappointed. To start this place does not taking ANY insurance, we paid over 1250.00 to receive a diagnosis for my autistic son. The Doctor we saw requested a 6 month follow up to see how he was progressing after therapy. Today we had that appointment (I had to call in as I was working) and began asking questions on the progress the Doctor had seen and based on how she is seeing him develop what the next steps were. It was to my absolute shock and horror to find out that the person I was speaking to was not the same Doctor and in fact was a NURSE PRACTIONER who is not an MD! When I asked for opinions on moving forward based on how she saw him progress she admitted she was not the same person who saw him last time and told me that "there is a lot of information out there to help you make those decisions." So pretty much said go read the internet. When I started asking about other things we could do to help, she repeated back to me the things we told her we are doing.

Then when I asked to speak to the actual Doctor she got rude and told me I would have to make another appointment if I wanted to do that and then told me even if I called when the Doctor was in, the Doctor wouldn't talk to me on the phone anyway. OVERPRICED, UNPROFESSIONAL, and CLEARLY DON'T CARE ABOUT THEIR PATIENT'S LIVES OR FUTURE. I Will NEVER bring my son back to this awful establishment. If you like throwing away money and want your child to be treated like a number, this is the place for you.

I can’t even begin to explain how much Dr. Smoller has done for my daughter and our family. I was researching for help with my neurologist for a pediatric doctor who specializes in childhood development. I found quite a few but then looked at reviews by the parents. Well the reviews were spot on for Dr. Smoller. My daughter loves her. She went into her first meeting scared, anxious and depressed. She came out smiling, hopeful and with pep in her step because my daughter knew her new doctor wouldn’t stop until she helped her find the right way for her personally and not like cattle. Go this day, Dr. Smoller has pretty much turned Frans life around and all positive ways. I highly suggest that if you are looking for help with your child, no matter what their age, make an app. My insurance paid me in full for all the out of pocket expenses and when anything was missing Tara took over and got the job done as well so that we could continue. Definitely worth more than a monetary value of any sort to my family. Thank you Dr. Smoller and Tara!
