Dr. Alvin B Lin

I have left three voice messages asking to be called about being a new patient. No response in ten days. Portents of things to come????

Dr. Lin has been seeing my father, who is 91, at a private facility for a year. My family has not agreed with any of his diagnosis, he does not listen to family that see my father every day, and does the most brief of examinations before making decisions. A medication my father was on was making him weaker and sicker every day, and we virtually had to fight Dr. Lin to get dad off of it. No bedside manner, either. Cannot recommend. Dr. Lin has been seeing my father, who is 91, at a private facility for a year. My family has not agreed with any of his diagnosis, he does not listen to family that see my father every day, and does the most brief of examinations before making decisions. Here's the sad thing. I called at around 11am and no one answered. Then I called back a few hours later and was answered by a lady and I told her that I was interested in booking my husband as first time patient. She went to transfer me I ended up staying on hold for 10 to 15 min. She finally came back on the phone and said something was wrong with the lines to the girls who make appointments and they would call me back. I never got a call back I ended up calling them back and was able to make an appointment. I asked the girl who made my appointment if in fact Dr. Lin was a family doctor that my whole family could see she said yes. So we mad an appointment. I found out an hour later that the date booked wouldnt work for my husband so I called back to reschedule. I was put on hold for another 15 min and a lady named Diana answered the phone and didnt sound too courteous. I asked her if I could reschedule and she said that Dr. Lin does not have any appointments for October until September 30th. Then she proceeded to tell me that Dr Lin was a Geriatric Dr. I asked her if she was sure as when I called earlier I was assured he was a family doctor as well. Her tone then changed. Had she been a bit kinder I wouldve taken what she said but because her tone was so unhelpful it almost seemed as if she could care less to help me. I told her I don't feel like she is helping me and she said well I can book you with another Dr. I told her I was interested in Dr. Lin because he had great reviews online. She then said rudely that he only sees Geriatric patients. Then I said please just cancel my appointment. She rudely said "its cancelled" and hung up on me. I called back and Julie (I believe thats her name) was much friendlier and assisted me in clarifying what kind of Dr. Dr. Lin was. Whats sad is that Im sure Diana talks to all those poor elderly patients like that when they call for an appointment. If you don't wan to be courteous and help people then maybe you should find a job that doesn't require you to talk to them maybe data entry somewhere. Diana is so rude!!! I would not recommend Dr. Lin for the simple fact that he has someone like Diana talking to patients the way she does. Totally disappointed. Here's the sad thing.
