I had emergency surgery in Denver, I had a two week follow up appointment to see a doctor in SA who then refused to see bc he “doesn’t see patients that someone else has operated on,” they tell me this at the appointment after I had explained the circumstance to the scheduler. I wasted several hours to get to the appointment and my two week target. Dt Ivy was happy to take me on as a client. She was professional and explained the follow up appointment procedures with ease and got me set up with PT. She complimented the original surgeons work and allowed me time ask the questions I had prepared. I definitely recommend her. (The wait time to be seen was much longer than expected in the office)

Went in for right shoulder soreness. X-rays and quick diagnosis led to a cortisone injection and no pain the next day . Thanks to Dr. Ivy and her staff.

I had been to this location previously same Orthopedic Group and as my review said then it still pertains to today, I was made to feel very welcomed by the staff very clean very professional office. Dr ivy was kind and professional and was able to take care of my situation very quickly. I am continuing the care of my Orthopedic needs under this group and under Dr Ivy at this time. I believe a great business has sprouted here in New Braunfels finally.

Great front desk staff, roomy and comfortable waiting room, great PT staff. I saw Dr. Ivy. She took time to listen to my concerns, did a great job explaining what needed to be done and why. Her goal is the same as mine, to keep my a bad knee working and pain free!

Dr. Ivy is an awesome lady. She is to the point and very helpful. Come to find out I had arthritis in my knee. I want in very bad pain. Now she fixed the problem with steroid in the knee (did not hurt me) and now I can walk on it so much better. She was quick and understanding. I give her a 10 star.

I have visited Dr. Ivy's Office 2 times. Amanda and Her Staff are ALL GREAT! She gives a GREAT diagnosis and will try Very Hard to resolve your issue WITHOUT an operation. However, I would TRUST Dr. Ivy to operate on me IF Really Necessary! Both of my 2 issues have been resolved WITHOUT an operation and Physical Therapy, Thank God! Bill Hutson

Doctor Ivy is awesome! I had bicep surgery, but what makes her awesome, is she must have done 4 or 5 surgeries before me. She came in energetic and was ready to go. Not sure if she took a lunch that day. She knocked it out of the park!! She is amazing and I am grateful that I got such a skilled surgeon for my arm.

Dr. Ivy has treated me for over 2 years for 2 different orthopedic problems. She’s very caring and listens to your issues and try’s to solve the problem. If she can resolve your problem without surgery she will try that first. I had split my knee cap and through her guidance my knee healed just fine without having surgery. I saw Dr Ivy after two doctors had told me that my knee injury was nothing but arthritis. After getting an MRI a third doctor confirmed that I had torn my meniscus in two places but declined to do surgery because of my age, which is 69. After living with the pain for nearly two years I tried one more time. My primary care physician referred me to Dr Ivy. She repaired my meniscus about two weeks ago. I used a walker for one day and took two pain pills. I now have nearly full use of my knee again. I am completely satisfied with my care and surgery from Dr Ivy and highly recommend her at TSAOG. Dr Amanda Ivy is a wonderful doctor and a wonderful lady. She fixed my broken arm, my broken shoulder, and my torn meniscus. I am totally satisfied with her work. I feel stronger and better than before these operations became necessary. In addition to that, she has a very pleasant personality. And, very attractive!

She was very thoughtful. Has great bedside manner. She was through in her exam and treatment. I called the same evening about a possible problem. She was reassuring and put my mind at ease. Dr. Ivy is absolutely the best. Second to none!

Made an appointment with Dr Ivy and was able to get right in. Dr Ivy’s diagnosis was a torn meniscus. Surgery was scheduled a few days after the diagnosis. The surgery was quick and I was able to walk immediately without any pain at all. Dr Ivy is a lifesaver. She restored my mobility and I’m so grateful to be able to do my normal activities, without the pain. Dr Ivy is such a caring doctor and has a great office staff and surgical team. I plan to have surgery on my other knee in the near future.

I feel like I’m in good hands. Professionalism at its best. Wonder, helpful, positive staff assisting me with frozen shoulder. I’m only one visit in, but it’s given me something I have been longing for. Hope, and a pathway to a more functional, happy life.

Dr. Ivy was the right choice for us! She repaired both mine and my husband’s rotator cuff tear (a year apart). She was amazing at explaining things and making sure we understood everything that was going to take place.

I want to thank Dr. Amanda Ivy. I am 68 years old and had been very healthy until I had an accident fall. I called my children. One is a doctor and one is a physical therapist. I needed their advice. My daughter started arranging all of my health care. She chose Dr. Amanda Ivy in New Braunfels, Texas to do my shoulder surgery. I even had to travel out of town. It was well worth it. Dr. Ivy was very personable and knowledgeable. She explained the surgery process to me. Although, she showed me the x-rays, she drew the diagram of the surgery on paper. Her staff was amazing in setting up my initial visit, along with follow up appointments and setting up Physical Therapy.. The hospital staff was amazing as well. The surgery was a success, just as Dr. Ivy had planned. I am in phase II of physical therapy. Dr. Ivy gives very clear instructions and expect you to follow them. I am recovering well. I first met Dr. Ivy when she was caring for my daughter after a sports injury. In February of 2021 I became a patient after tearing up my knee slipping on ice. In both instances, as a "mom" and as a patient, Dr. Ivy was approachable, knowledgeable, receptive, and, most noticeably, kind. She balanced a good sense of humor, solid bedside manner, and explained injuries as well as all treatment options to both my daughter and me. Dr. Ivy is a true partner in orthopedic healthcare. I appreciated the discussion about my situation and needs, and her overall care she provided to both of us. Her assistant Lucinda is a rock star as well!

Very user friendly website, and it was easy to make my appointment. I was reminded about my appointment, able to pre-check in online and take care of my co-pay the day before. I arrived a little early the day of and was promptly checked in. Every employee I spoke with was both friendly and helpful! Dr. Ivy was incredibly thorough in her examination and explanation of the diagnosis and treatment options. She patiently answered any questions and concerns I had. The office was efficient with rooming, imaging, and casting. The facility was beautiful and kept very clean. Dr. Ivy is #1 for my family’s orthopedic care!

Dr. Ivy is amazing! She listens. She gives wonderful, non-surgical treatment options. She is also firm with patients in order to make certain they are doing their part to get better. This is a trait more physicians should have. Even her office staff is fabulous! Surgical coordinator, Lucinda seamlessly gives personal attention to her patients with a smile while working through difficult paperwork. My new patient visit was terribly rushed. I was in the office for 2 hours and only saw Dr. Ivy for two minutes. Staff did not do their chart preparation or due diligence. Now stuck with a $300 bill. For what? I was told to get MRI, which I did. Left multiple messages with staff, provider, and practice manager to get follow up appointment with no response. I’m calling another orthopedic office…having to start all over with someone else will be easier than trying to continue care with TSAOG.

3 weeks ago, I fell while ending my vacation in Napa, cracking my patella. The practice worked with me and scheduled me for an appointment sooner than the first available date. Dr Ivy has been great, and I feel fortunate that I contacted this practice. It’s been 3 weeks and I’m about 90% healed! Everyone at the practice is very professional and accommodating. I am extremely impressed with her work. She not only treated my 15yr old son, she treated me as well. It was like being treated by a celebrity going into the hospital for my meniscus surgery. Everyone I came in contact with lifted her name and her excellent work ethics. One RN of the hospital even went on to say I love seeing her patients. Apparently, I have bursitis in both shoulders. From the beginning to end, of my first appointment, Dr Ivy’s staff and she were prompt (respectful of one’s time) yet thorough in my analysis. They took the time to review previously done X-rays to determine the approach to resolving my painful shoulders. I liked the conservative method Dr Ivy recommended. She took her time explaining what was wrong and what she could do for me. Very pleased I took the time to research the ratings and with my choice of Dr Ivy.
