Amy Stark is one of the best and intelligent doctors in Amarillo. The appointments are quick and to the point, and she just always makes me feel comfortable when I come to see her with my issues, which with her help I have come a long way!! Thanks Amy for all you have done and godbless.

Dr. Stark is professional, yet very warm and kind. Dr. Stark is able to lead you to a place where you can focus on an issue, and like an onion you begin to peel back the layers On the topic yourself. I find this approach very useful to my healing. I highly recommend her.

Dr Stark has been amazing. She is kind and compassionate. She is also extremely knowledgeable and helpful

First most, Dr. Stark is patient and kind, most of all she LISTENS! She never gives up, she will leave good alone, additionally help you improve symptoms. She thinks outside the box, NOT one of these docs in a box. I’ve seen several psychiatrists in Amarillo when I moved here and they were just horrible. Dr. Stark far exceeds her calling and her intelligence only allows my needs to be further met to the point that my total stability, when it comes to her educational background, is met. Dr Stark is the best psychiatrist in Amarillo. I am an internal medicine doctor who sees the work of multiple psychiatrists in my patients, and I have personally reached out to Dr. Stark for my own mental health needs. She is an excellent listener and gets a complete history for her treatment decisions with a focused but respectful manner. She is caring and compassionate. She connects well with her patient, and she makes her patient comfortable enough to discuss difficult issues. She knows how to diagnose and treat per the guidelines, but she can adapt evaluation and treatment when the guideline treatment cannot be used directly. She follows up consistently and adapts her treatment for the best chance of an excellent result. While she has a systematic and well-organized approach to the patient, Dr. Stark has an intuition about what is going on with the patient. She uses this intuition to perfect her diagnosis and treatment plan. She is persistent and motivates the patient to heal with her help. Her office is very easy to work with to set up appointments, although she does have a waiting list like other psychiatrists.

Dr Stark is always receptive to me when I go to see her. She listens to my situation and responds to my questions.

As soon as you see her you know Dr. Stark knows what she's talking about. I've never felt uncomfortable or unsafe. The staff are very helpful, efficient, and friendly!! Wonderful psychiatrist who doesn't see you as a big dollar sign! ????

Dr. Stark is far and away the best physician/psychiatrist in Amarillo. She is so kind and helpful.

I have been seeing Dr. Stark for several years and couldn’t be more satisfied. She truly cares about her patients and has always addressed any concerns or questions I’ve had with compassion and professionalism. I highly recommend her.

When I see the cellphone text asking me to confirm my bi-monthly appointment with Dr. Stark, I look forward to it as my one and only opportunity to fully reveal myself at length, without interruption, to the most attentive person I now encounter in my life. I've seen many psychiatrists in my lifetime--from age 16 to present, but none so compassionate and understanding. She is so much more than a "psycho-pharmacologist," engaging in a mere "med check." She has perfected the high art of listening. Now 71 years old, I've been hearing-impaired since adolescence, but the psychological "fallout" from this disability, particularly for one engaged since high school in the hearing-intensive calling of newspaper journalism, was never once taken into account with my diagnosis--bi-polar illness. Dr. Stark is very accommodating to my hearing impairment by, for instance, writing her questions and responses if I cannot hear her. What a blessed RELIEF!

Amy Stark genuinely cares about her patients! Really good psychiatrist.

She's so kind so understanding I feel that they treated me to actually help me not just for another $ sign or just another somebody. I could see and feel the care from herself and her students. I feel so blessed to have her as my physiatrist provider. And I hope and pray more people like her start showing up in Amarillo not just for the normal treatment but also for the Suboxone treatment as well. It saves lives. Ive been with her since August 2020 and have yet to see her in person. I was supposed to finally see her in person today 5/3/21 after my appointment had been changed 2 different times already. I arrived 10 minutes late because I accidentally went to the wrong building but I had called before hand and let them know. When I arrived I was immediately told I had to reschedule. After telling them I’m about to be out of town until August they still wouldn’t let me have my appointment. I woll be finding a new psychiatrist, zero needs have been met. Not to mention the staff was rude.

Husband went to her for anxiety and depression meds. He never saw her, only the PA. Wouldn't you think the doctor would want to see their patient at least once? When he inquired about seeing Dr. Stark the PA made him feel guilty, so he didn't pursue it. He ended up on more than 7 anti-depressant cocktails in a year and a half and finally got so fed up with it he stopped taking everything which was a disaster.
