Dr. Anand P Lothe

I highly recommend Dr.Lothe. The staff at Virginia Physicians are all professional, friendly and knowledgeable. I never feel rushed. The onsite lab makes it convenient to get all lab work done prior to my appointment schedule. Exams are thorough, and the patient portal provides me on demand access to all my personal results as well as physician notes from my visits. Dr. Lothe never appears rushed and genuinely cares about delivering an exceptional customer experience to each of his patients.

Dr Lothe has been such a wonderful advocate for me as I navigated two cancers. He listens, calms, advises and most of all he genuinely cares. I would highly recommend him.

I got blood work done under Dr. Anand Loathe. Turned out my resting blood sugar was 300. I was a 6ft 170 lb 26 year old man. I am in excellent shape and have always been in excellent shape. Dr. Lothe diagnosed me with type 2 diabetes. He said there was no way I was a type 1 diabetic, and that I would be "wasting my time" to get a second opinion by going to an endocrinologist. Luckily I didn't listen and got a second opinion. That was 2 years ago. The endocrinologist I went to quickly diagnosed me with Type 1 diabetes by running a basic antibody test. He may be a good doctor for other illnesses but I would not recommend if you are having blood sugar issues. I got blood work done under Dr. Anand Loathe. Turned out my resting blood sugar was 300. I love the service I get from Dr. Lothe and his staff. Dr. Lothe is courteous, concerned, focused, and knowledgeable. Asks the right questions and I always feel that I have his full attention and support. His staff is a reflection of his friendly & professional manner as well. Highly recommended.

PLEASE save yourself your time and energy and find any other doctor’s office to visit. I am STILL receiving calls and letters from an appointment nearly a YEAR ago regarding an outstanding balance. Never in my life have I been to a doctor’s office where they could not correctly bill me for services. I have spent countless hours on the phone with the office and with my insurance trying to get this taken care of. I have had the same insurance for years and never once as this happened before. Not only were they unable to correctly process through my insurance but they are charging me for tests and lab work that I did not request or know anything about!! If you want to go to a doctor’s office where they run whatever tests they like just so they can bill your insurance and you, then this is the place for you. That is, as long as you don’t mind spending countless hours on the phone with incompetent people. PLEASE save yourself your time and energy and find any other doctor’s office to visit. Very knowledgeable and conscientious doctor.

He misdiagnosed me with type 2 diabetes when I actually have type 1 diabetes. He was so incredibly arrogant and insistent that I was not a type 1, that I have concluded he is terrible physician. He even had the antibody test in his hands that said I was positive for glucose antibodies, and he stil told me I would be wasting my time by seeing an endo. Good thing I followed the advice of one of the PAs, who quietly told me she disagreed with him. He knows nothing about diabetes. Do not see him
