My daughter is 12 now and she is patient of Dr Nelson since her 1st day .I wish I could take him with us where we moved ;-) The only doctor i can compare him with , is my childhood pediatritian , Dr Plońska of Poland .Dr Nelson demonstrate very rare in US but same high European standards with deep care for children well being. Dr. Nelson was my pediatrician 15 years ago and google reviews weren’t really a thing back then so I figured I would make up for that with a review now. He was always so nice and would go out of his way to make me comfortable with jokes, little treats and stickers. I don’t ever remember being scared about going to the Doctor, nor do I recall having a single bad experience. I am so glad to see he still has his practice and although I don’t have children myself, I would absolutely recommend him to anyone who does. I would have rated this man a zero star if I could. He has taken care of me my whole life until he did this to me. This man had lead me to believe I just had a viral stomach infection and gastritis after I was told to follow up with him from an ER visit this was not the case I had went to his office twice and had not gotten the help I needed. I had finally got help when I went to the Wayne Memorial Hospital and had tested my feces where they found out I had a bacterial infection called C Diff I had this sickness for 3 weeks and he did nothing for it this sickness could be fatal if I didnt get the help I needed thank God I went to another hospital. I could have contracted sepsis and this is a 3 and 4 chance of me living I want everyone to know this man could've killed me change your doctor immediately. If I could give this office a rating of 0 out of 5, I would based on the horrible interaction I had today. I made an appointment for my ill 4 year old and arrived early. I checked in at the front desk and asked the receptionist to check if I had a balance for either of my sons. The receptionist called their billing office only to report I had “an outstanding balance” of over $400. I was taken aback, knowing full well I inquire about my balance and pay it off each time I am in. I asked her for a copy of the charges so I could review them. She provided me with the number to their billing department so I could call them to dig deeper. My son and I waited about 15 minutes past our appointment time and were then escorted into a room and triaged by the nurse. After the nurse was through, there was a knock on the door, and a woman who identified herself as the office manager walked in. She explained I had a balance of over $300 (a different amount shared with me at the reception desk) and had a print out of the office copays she said were unpaid. I explained, again, I was concerned as I am adamant about paying each time I am there. To this, the office manager replied, “No, your husband comes in with the kids when they are sick and every time we tried to speak to him about the bill, he stormed off”. I was dumbfounded. How dare she speak like that to me about my husband! She showed me the charges, all of which I recognized as having been paid by me in the past, and told her such. At that point she told me she would “look in one more location where they keep records of payment”. We proceeded with the appointment and, upon leaving the examination room, the office manager approaches me again asking, “Would you like the good news or the bad news? The bad news is, our billing office missed your payments that were made and the good news is you have a ZERO balance”. She then laughed flippantly and walked away. I cannot believe I was treated in such a manner and will NEVER encourage any friends, colleagues, or relatives to use this office! Best doctor hands down. I have been with for my children over 23 years now and would never go anywhere else for peds.

Dr. Nelson and his entire staff are nothing short of amazing. He is extremely educated, personable and always has such a calming disposition. Most importantly, my kids love him, his sweet nurses & staff! I can't imagine entrusting their health to anyone else.

I first went to meet Dr. Nelson when I was pregnant and he took the time to answer all my questions - without rushing like some doctors might. He has been caring for my children for 9+ years now and I couldn't imagine having a different pediatrician. We LOVE Dr. Nelson! He is amazing with our daughter .. and his nurse and receptionists are the sweetest! Dr. Nelson is very knowledgeable and caring.. we would not send our daughter to anyone else! He is very personable and has an amazing bedside manner. We recommend him to everyone we know!

I have been with dr Nelson for 23 years myself. He was my pediatrician when I was growing up and now he is my kids pediatrician. Always excellent care. I have been bringing my children to him for 22 years. Never had a complaint. When they get sick they are seen within a few hours.

FYI--Only accepting Newborns!!! Highly recommended by two moms; however, only accepting Newborns is limiting.

Dr. Nelson is one of the most thorough doctors I have ever met. He truly cares about his patients. My 3 children have been seeing him since their birth. You will not meet a bigger advocate for your children than Dr. Nelson.

Unfortunately money has gotten to Dr. Nelson's head. He's truly a scumbag. My wife missed a few appointments. We weren't told about a "no show charge" or mailed anything out. Took one of the kids to an appointment and were refused service and they demanded a payment right then and there. Needless to say we have changed doctors since then. But now because money is owed they are holding medical records. We have absolutely NO problem paying them the small fee but due to the way this was handled we chose not give them a dime. While Dr Nelson is friendly and easy to talk to, he is much more passive about diagnosing issues than I was comfortable with. My child had a medical issue that went undiagnosed for over 6 months before he referred us to a specialist. His recommendation was to continue to monitor the issue with visits to his office every 2 weeks. During this time, my child dropped from the 80% to the 3% on the growth chart. Turned out that the concerns I kept raising (which Nelson kept brushing aside as "normal") were related to enlarged adenoids and tonsils - which was diagnosed by his new doctor on the first visit after simply listening to his labored breathing. In addition, the office is always backed up and I often waited for over an hour to be seen for scheduled well visits. I would not recommend Dr Nelson and wish we had transferred my child to a new provider sooner rather than letting the issue go on for 6 months. Me and my daughter were discharged after our discussion to refuse vaccination. We had our 5 yr check up. He refused to fill out the school paperwork even tho we paid for the visit and did absolutely nothing wrong.

Has been taking care of my kids for the past 6 years. Always knowledgeable and personable. Always finds extra time for your concerns and whenever my kids are sick. Best Pediatrician we know.

Very satisfied with Dr. Anders' knowledge and attentiveness. His staff is friendly and helpful as well. I appreciate his no-nonsense, straight to the point honesty. If you want somebody who cares, this is the pediatrician for you.

The best Pediatrician we could ask for. He is very knowledgeable as well as personable. He has always been accomadating whenever one of our kids have been sick. He also has a great staff/nurses that are very professional.

Dr. Nelson is amazing. He was my doctor along with my to younger sister. So when i knew I was having my children there was no other doctor i would want for my child. We take all 3 of our children who we adopted internationally as babies to Dr Nelson. He was recommmded years ago to us as a very good pediatrician in the area and we are extremely happy with him. He is very inteligent and well researched. He practices based on experience, data, and progressive medical studies only if he is comfortable with the new data. He always takes time with us and is very thorough. For those who left negative reviews for his strictness relating to vaccines, take your kids to Dr Jenny McCartthy. Dr Nelson will explain historic data and safety the CDC, FDA, ACIP and the rest of the developed medical professions agree with to you. Dr. Nelson is always so patient when I ask him questions. As a first time mom, I've been asking him so many questions every visit and he's never in a rush to answer any of them. The staff, and himself, are always so friendly and never treats us as just some other patient. I know my child is in good hands.

I am so happy Dr. Nelson was recommended to me when I was pregnant with my daughter. As a first time parent, I wanted reassurance I was making the right decisions. In the 51/2 years as his patient, Dr. Nelson and his staff always have responded to my questions promptly and with compassion.

Dr. Nelson and his staff are wonderful. I have been going to Dr. Nelson for over 8 years. I first met with him when I was pregnant and choosing a pediatrician. He took the time to answer all of my “new mom” questions and put my mind at ease. I’ve had to call him at 3 AM when my son had a very high fever and he was as pleasant and calm as he is in the office. I feel both of my children are in excellent hands with him. When I became pregnant there was hardly even a question about who should be our pediatrician. Dr. Nelson was her father's pediatrician and her older (half) brother's. When I asked her brother about whether he liked his doctor, he responded enthusiastically with, "Yes! He's great!" After over a year of going to his practice, I can see why so many people appreciate him! The staff is fabulous - always pleasant and efficient. The nurses are so sweet and caring! Dr. Nelson is a great pediatrician to our two boys. The office is always responsive when we need something. He is extremely knowledgeable and we trust his judgment. He’s also great with our kids.

Dr. Nelson’s assessment skills are awesome!!! I’ve been bringing my girls to him for 18 years and he has always diagnosed and treated them properly!!! I have been a nurse for 21 years, and I can tell you that he’s the best! I totally trust him to care for my children!

Unfortunately when Dr Shipsky left there was a hole in the medical intelligence of the practice. The current doctor is not up to current standards of of medicine or antibiotic protocols and just throws drugs at kids that are sick. Bedside manner is also poor and he does not seem to engage with children which would be the main purpose of a pediatrician. It seems just to be about pumping patients in and out for money. I have been taking my 5 children to Dr. Nelson's for the past 14 years. My family loves him. He always fits us in with close to no wait time. I couldn't say enough good things about him and his staff. Dr. Nelson does not call prescriptions in without seeing my children. He absolutely does not push any kind of medicine on his patients. Dr.Nelson saw my kids in without an appointment the young nurse was kind enough to ask him and he agreed to see my child as an emergency even though it looked like he was done for the day, super kind doctor

Poor bed side manners. I saw a new person replacing another almost every visit. Office Manager rude and acts like a nurse (she's not one either). Waiting time (with an appointment) is ridiculous. Harasses you to get your child different shots that aren't required by state for school administration. Try finding a seat to sit on in his cold waiting room.

It is an honor to be able to have Dr. Nelson the pediatrician of my kids. He is very patient and caring and is highly knowledgeable in his field. He takes his time examining the kids and provides very clear explanations of his diagnoses to you. He answers any questions you may have. The nurses and staff are always very nice, too. I wouldn't want to take my kids anywhere else!
