Dr. Andrei Mark

Charged almost $3,000 to pull out a regular molar, which took less than 2 minutes. Fast forward it's many years later and I've had nothing but pain in the site he pulled it from, and I can no longer even eat on that side There was something weird after the extraction which I consulted with him about and he didn't do anything. The feeling I have is that he wanted to leave more problems there so I would continue to come back for his outrageously priced "consults", etc. For all his insanely high prices, he doesn't even have a digital x-ray machine.

very very rude staff always giving my daughter an attitude waited over a year for an implant paid in cash and all no one ever answers the phone when they do you get put on hold for a long time

Who would have thought that oral surgery can be relaxing, even pleasant? Dr Mark has immediately put me at ease, made me feel comfortable and welcome. Not to mention an unobstructed view of the Empire State Building from my dental chair! On several occasions, Dr Mark found extra time in his busy schedule to accommodate my needs, so that I did not have to return for another appointment. Dr. Mark is MAGNIFICENT! There is a song from the Broadway show ANNIE titled "Your Never Fully Dressed Without a Smile". Dr. Mark improved my smile 100%. I was referred to Dr. Mark by my dentist Dr. Orenshein who's expertise in dentistry is superb! Dr. Orenshein recommended I have Dr. Mark look at a back lower bridge. Upon entering CPOS I was immediately at ease with the pleasant reception from front desk. Then " sensational Sara" greeted me and took 3D X-Ray's revealing far more complications & bone deterioration of entire lower teeth. Dr. Mark was sensitive to my shock in hearing this and took time to explain everything indicated on X-Ray's. He then told me he would send the x-rays to Dr. Orenshein who then agreed extensive oral surgery needed to be done. I immediately scheduled surgery with Dr. Mark. Dr. Rita Mizrahi is an excellent oral surgeon. She explained everything very clearly and made me feel at ease about the procedure. Before my visit to Dr. Mark, my mouth was in horrible condition. I was missing all but two of my molars with no opposing bite. I was not able to enjoy food since I couldn't chew it properly. In a single visit to Dr. Mark, he placed nine implants in about a hour. I experienced no pain during the procedure which also included a tooth extraction. I also experienced little post operative discomfort which I was able to control with two days of ibuprofen. Oral surgery is rarely an experience a patient considers healing and inspiring, and yet this is how I felt after I went to see Dr. Mark for a bone graft and implant. He and his team exceeded every expectation. The procedure was completed within an hour, and absolutely pain free. As a Google Guide, I take my reviews seriously and write them only after a lot of thought. I waited a year to write this review because I believe that only after a year of healing can you really tell people how good you think a surgeon and his work are. In few words, my review is: talk with Dr. Mark. I do not wish oral surgery on anyone, but if you have to have it done, I can honestly say you would be well advised to consult with Dr. Mark as you make the decision on who your surgeon will be. My wife and I needed serious oral surgery a year ago – four and five implants, plus three extractions and bone grafts for each – and Dr. Mark was one of the surgeons our dentist recommended. We went to one surgeon in Queens who told us my wife’s case was too complex, so we were expecting a hard ride. Our dentist told us we should have MRIs done of our mouths to get a clearer picture of the issue (apparently not all surgeons do this), which is how we got to Dr. Mark. He’s on Madison Avenue and we’re off Greenpoint Avenue, so we were afraid we couldn’t afford him, but we went for a consultation because he has an MRI machine in the office. We were so surprised when we got there. We felt the good energy right away. Dr. Mark showed us on the MRI why my wife’s case was so complex, and said he would handle it himself. When time came to discuss the charges, we found out what an actually good guy he is. He could tell we are not people of means, and worked with us on the cost – I mean, seriously worked with us. He brought the cost within our range and allowed us to get Madison Avenue quality at a Queens Boulevard price. I am so grateful for that, because here it is a year later and we are fine, having had no complications or strange healing issues. Dr. Mark, Nurse Sarah and the whole staff made us feel very comfortable and relaxed all the times we visited them. They joked with us and treated us with kind friendliness. Let me tell you, that made a big difference. The good spirit they create in the office was very important to our experience as patients. The actual moment of oral surgery is a tough passage, but by making us feel relaxed and happy with the people around us, they made us able to make that passage as well as can be expected. Yes, the surgery was followed by a period of healing – three months of extremely soft food and another three of soft food – and when the implants healed there was the installation process of the new teeth (done by our dentist) and the healing from that, but the key to our good outcome was smoothly getting through Day One of the adventure. That’s why I can sincerely recommend Dr. Mark. Your final decision will likely be the result of many factors, but as you’re considering what to do you should talk with this guy. Dr Mark treated me for full mouth dental implants. My case was very complex to say the least. My oral problems had been created by post cancer radiation that made dental surgery very difficult. Also, I had been treated by another dentist who did a terrible job on my mouth, and I was referred to Dr Mark to fix the mess created by the other dentist. Dr. Mark and his staff treated me for almost one year, and they completed my dental implants very successfully. I could not be more pleased with the outcome. But more importantly, Dr. Mark treated me like I was his most important patient. He was very professional yet very caring. The same can be said of his staff. Where do I even begin? I have had a fear of the dentist my entire life. When I found out that I had to get all 4 of my wisdom teeth extracted I was absolutely terrified. However, Dr. Mark and his entire team made this experience ten times easier for me. An amazing surgeon.

Dr. Mark is a consummate professional in implant dentistry. This was second occasional of needing his services and as usual, the procedure went smoothly, surprisingly quickly, with very little discomfort which was mostly patient apprehension. He is meticulous, careful, knowledgeable, and pleasant. I would highly recommend him.

I had a very pleasant recent experience with Dr Andrei Mark who had to deal with an old problem. This involved the re-infection of an aged cleaned out root canal. Dr Mark spent a great deal of time explaining in detail my options..repeatedly, as I had a prior bad experience. Nevertheless, after much discussion and explanation, I agreed to the procedure. I went to Dr. Mark because I needed to remove all 4 of my wisdom teeth. A surgery I have been postponing since 2009 - this can explain how much of a baby I am when it comes to things like this one. I finally took courage and went to do the first 2 (right side)... and I showed him and his entire team how much of a baby I am (no shame in saying this) by starting to cry even before he said "we are going to remove 2." Clearly, they must be used to work with babies, because they are all super amazing, kind and reassuring. One of his assistants told me that it could take 20 minutes to remove the teeth, she lied... it took him 10 minutes and with no pain at all. I have to admit, the 4 shots of anesthesia are the ones that were painful, but not for lack of professionalism or experience from their end, only because my pain level is really low. That said, I didn't even realize when he actually took out the two teeth. I was super impressed!!! You hear many stories from friends and family members on how painful removing a wisdom tooth is, so I went it pretty scared of the surgery and the aftermath... I went home that day, changed the gauze per instructions, ate a little bit of ice cream pushing it all the day to the left side, and went to sleep a little worried on how I would wake up the next morning in terms of pain and swollen my right cheek would be. Well, I woke up and felt nothing at all. Spent the day relaxing, starting to eat a little bit, always on the left side. But nothing, I didn't look like a chipmunk and didn't hurt. Went to the beach on the following day. The only small downsize it was due to the antibiotics that made me tired all the time...but who doesn't like a good nap? :) I went back to Dr. Mark one week later for a check up and he told me it's healing well and mentioned we should think of removing the other two, I jumped up and said "let's do it right away, I am not scared anymore!" :) I definitely recommend him, he is definitely the best surgeon I have ever met and his team is great too, always ready to answer any possible question, calm you down and even hold your hand if needed! Dr Mark is immensely skilled: I had previously gone to another oral surgeon due to geographical convenience. The difference between Dr. Mark and the other surgeon was the difference between night and day. I had my one implant placed by Dr. Mark and my husband had two implants. Everything was GREAT, from making appointment, to the location, all the way to finished implant. Very affordable. I suffer from panic attacks - the dentist is a sure trigger for me. I had to have the entire upper portion of my mouth worked on for implants. I was terrified. This man, this kind, caring considerate man, literally numbed each tooth separately so that he could work and I would be comfortable. His staff is caring and they remember you. I was referred to Dr. Marks by my general dentist, Dr. Irv Tregerrman for teeth extractions, bone grafts and implants. Previously I had gone to another Oral surgeon for a bone graft and it was painful and took a long time to heal correctly. Dr. Mark does it another way, by using your own plasma to create a bone graft right there in the office. The healing process was dramatically different. The healing began the same day and continued at this fast rate. It took a few days to look like the way I did a month into the healing process the other way (taking your bone and crushing it up and filling the hole then stitching it up). It is not possible to say enough complements about Central Park Oral Surgery lead by Dr. Andrei Mark and professionally assisted by a top notch medical team and incredible office crew. I had a great experience with Dr. Mark recently when I needed to get all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed. I was very nervous about the pain, and about how I would feel post-op, but there was no need to worry. Dr. Mark was very good at calming my nerves and did an excellant job on the procedure. Not only was I not in pain at all after the surgery, but I did not swell or bruise. I was very impressed with Dr. Mark's skill and ease, and trust him with any further dental work that I might need in the future.
