Andrew Batey

I feel Dr. Batey saved my life. He is patient, kind and explains everything to where you can clearly understand it. He’s been my doctor for almost 4 years now and because of him, I’m sober and living a healthy life with cirrhosis. Nothing but good things to say about this man.

If you are a female patient, stay away; Dr. Batey likely won't take your condition seriously or do anything to diagnose it properly, instead saying he "has done all he can". Dr. Batey belittles patients and discourages them from reading academic journals to learn how to treat condition, instead taking it as an insult and charging for random tests while keeping them in poor quality of life for years with no progress toward treatment.

Great gastro. Makes me come back to Carle Hospital. Otherwise I prefer Christie Clinic. Friendly, good attitude. Doctor is intelligent and helped me a lot.

He seems to care about his patients and he explains things so you can understand what he did and the results. He looked at previous procedures and asked questions about them.

He is a very good Dr. He explained what he did and the results so we could understand him. He was well informed and checked past procedures before he began and asked questions about them.

Dr Batey cares a lot about his patients and does a great job at making the patient and their health the priority! Great doctor!

Dr. Batey failed to perform planned procedure and caused so serious damage that I ended up in the ER. He consistently hid not only from me, but from the doctor at ER. He came to procedure unprepared, without carefully reading my chart.

Came to endoscopy totally unprepared. Did awful job, I ended up in the ER. Was carefully hiding from me and my ER doctor. Avoid by all means.

Excellent bedside manner, cares about patient well-being and their family. In addition to being a talented doctor, he is a warm and kind person. On this survey, the optional ratings are not working properly. High ratings for Dr. Batey and his nurse Becky.

He saved my life. I can't say enough positive things about Dr. Batey.
