Reviews for Dr. Andrew Nicolas Bazos
I’ve seen Dr. Bazos’ over the years for many different issues. He has done two elbow surgeries and repaired a meniscus tear in my knee. I’ve had great results and have recommended him to many friends. Dr. Bazos’ is a great doctor and I see him with complete confidence. He is also a wonderful person and an extremely great doctor.

Always caring and detailed. He is extremely knowledgeable and provided the best care pre/during and post surgery.
Dr Bazos and Holly are doing everything possible to make me feel better, thank you both
Called for an appointment and was able to get one immediately even though they were in the process of moving in to a new office location. The meeting was short and sweet and to the point. I was very satisfied with the result and will always go back and/or recommend Dr. Bazos to any friends or relatives. We discussed all I needed to know, he answered all my questions and it was decided that I definitely do not need the surgery that I had scheduled with another physician. It was worth the 2 hour ride from New London to Danbury. Thank You Dr. Bazos.
Very talented doctor who seemed to be in a rush when I saw him. I recently heard that he opened his own practice. Perhaps the separation from the large multiple location practice with 30 or so doctors will be a much better environment for Dr. Bazos to treat his patients.
Had hip bursitis and fluid on the knee on separate occasions. Dr Bazos was able to see me almost immediately and treated both quickly and successfully. Easy going and gets right to the heart of the matter quickly! I hope I don't have further ailments but if I do I will always call Dr. Bazos for treatment.
Prompt and figured out my knee tear right away...three years of pain gone in one week...thank you!
Amazing attentive and caring. Getting back to sports is second to getting back to healthy. Diagnostics is how he gets at the root of the issue.
Dr. Basis did two separate torn meniscus scopes unrelated to each other. Both were successful and he had me on my feet right away. He didn’t baby me so if your looking for coddling, he’s not your guy. Now at 75, I see him for cortisone shots delaying the inevitable 2 x total knee replacement which he will do. I want a skilled surgeon with lot’s of experience, hands of a diamond cutter, that works in a clean and sterile environment. Dr. Bazos meets all those requirements and I’ve had good knee history with him. See you at the end of the 2021 golf season for 2 new knees.
My wife and I can't say enough about the quality of care Dr. Bazos has provided our family over the years. His willingness to make himself available to us, even while we were overseas on vacation, to discuss his findings is not something we have encountered with other doctors. His calm and approachable demeanor made it easy for our children to discuss their injuries. Our two daughters, both elite high school soccer players, have had injuries which ranged from simple bone bruises to a torn ACL, and MCL, all of which Dr. Bazos repaired or treated with better than excellent outcomes. When our oldest daughter Sofia tore her ACL she visited an orthopedic surgeon recommended to us by her school trainer. Our daughter was devastated and afraid of any surgery after that visit. I suggested she see Dr. Bazos for a second opinion, who years ago repaired my knee and shoulder. Our daughter was so impressed with Dr. Bazos' depth of knowledge and his willingness to listen to her. As she limped out of his office she confidently told me she wanted Dr. Bazos to repair her ACL. Dr. Bazos was steadfast in his support throughout our daughter's recovery phase and we're happy to say she's made a full recovery and heading to Villanova this year to study medicine herself. My wife and I can't say enough about the quality of care Dr. Bazos has provided our family over the years. I visited Dr. Bazos’s NYC office for an independent medical examination. My experience was extremely unpleasant, the actual visit took no longer than 3-5 minutes, I was asked up to a dozen of basic questions. For some reason Dr. Bazos created an impression of being disrespectful, when I was asked the name of a prescription painkillers that I take, and I couldn’t remember the name of it, his comment was how can you take a pill and don’t know what that is. Dr Bezos made me feel threatened, and intimidated. In fact, in my opinion Dr. Bazos absolutely didn’t care about my condition nor bothered to examine my injured extremity nor inquire about my past and present experience post injury. The visit was just a technicality, and I didn’t feel that I was at a Dr. office that cares. I hope that that Dr. Bazos treats patients that seek help with more respect and attention. I must say that I didn’t have to wait long to be seen by the Dr., and the receptionist at the front desk was very friendly.
Dr. Basos is a friendly, professional and highly skilled surgeon that is truly concerned about his patient's well being. In a single word - Outstanding!

The best Doctor and terrific staff. Knee surgery went smooth. I recommend Dr Bazos to all my friends and colleagues. You get VIP treatment.
I've been seeing Dr. Bazos for over 5 years, and every time I have a positive experience. As a competitive athlete, I am always doing something damaging to my body. Dr. Bazos has a true understanding for athletes and always gets me back in the game quickly.
Dr. Bazos and his staff were amazing.
Dr. Bazos has operated on me, my wife, and my daughter. The results were excellent each time. He is very knowledgable and talented. He fully explains all of the options, and helps in every way possible.
Dr. Bazos scoped my knee for a torn meniscus. After diagnosis, he accommodated me with an appointment for a quick surgery before my planned vacation. His medical facility at Danbury was clean and efficient. The surgery was a success and I was back doing all physical activity 6 weeks later. He also directed me to a rehab practice and that went smoothly, as well. I would definitely go back to him if another surgery were required and I would enthusiastically recommend him to others.
He has always been a trusted source for my sports ailments.
Dr Bazos and his team were terrific! The excellent care given was above and beyond. If you are looking for a personable yet skilled surgeon look no further.
I regularly recommend Dr. Bazos to my family and friends. I race triathlons. Dr. Bazos worked with me to fix my knee that blew up like a ballon and my shoulder that locked up. Luckily, both didn't require surgery -- 6 months of PT.
Incredibly attentive and knowledgeable doctor. I appreciated the way I was treated by his entire staff as well. I would absolutely recommend this physician.
Dr. Bazos is extremely professional and personable. He diagnosed my problem when other orthos didn't. The surgery was flawless and I feel great! Thank you Dr. Bazos.
Great guy and great doctor. And infused experience with humor with is a lost art. Made me very comfortable and the surgery (elbow) came out perfectly !
I agree with the earlier patient assessment. I also saw Dr. Bazos. He spent less than 5 minutes with me and already had me scheduled for surgery. I was then passed off off to his pa. When I went back after my mri I also just met with the pa. I went for a second opinion to another doctor who spent time with me reviewing my options and and the correct exercises I should be doing. No surgery now and I feel fine.
I have been to see Dr Bazos 3 times and each time, I waited 45 minutes. When I finally did see him, all 3 times he stayed with me for not more than 4 minutes. On 1 of the visits, after spending 4 minutes looking at my MRI, he sent me to his secretary to schedule a surgery. I didn't know what I was having done. He sends you to his PA so she can explain everything. (They get to charge your insurance for 2 visits that way). I never saw him after my surgery. He was long gone. I won't return to him.
He is always in a hurry and would rather treat celebrities but needs the volume of regular patients to support his practices.
