Dr Dalio is an excellent physician, best in his field, skillful and talented. At the same time he gives you support and answers your concerns and questions through the portal!

Dr. Andrew da Lio humiliated me, told me to look in the mirror and see that my breasts are too small for a breast reduction during our consultation. he did not take me seriously when i began to tell him about all the struggles and pain I've dealt with. he told me "other girls would kill to have my breasts," completely invalidating my pain and experience with them. Even with having physical therapy for neck and back pain, Andrew da Lio was completely inappropriate when he told me to change my style of clothing and dress more modestly instead of get a breast reduction. I wore workout leggings to the consultation since it was very early in the morning and he recommended I start wearing slacks instead and stop wearing tight clothing. I told him I had been wanting a reduction since I was 15 and every time I tried to explain my reasons, I was interrupted with phrases like, "but you're not as bad as..." I got emotional and started crying the more he invalidate me. He showed me a picture of an overweight girl he performed a reduction on to tell me I looked like her "after" photo, despite me having a lower BMI and being way smaller, different frame than that patient. Overall, Andrew da Lio is very misogynistic and does not take his breast reduction patients seriously nor treats them professionally.

The best part of having breast cancer was meeting Dr Da Lio and his team, Kirsten & Letty. My oncologist recommended Dr Da Lio as the best choice for reconstruction after bilateral mastectomy. I’ve never had a male doctor before and I was nervous meeting him at first, but when he introduced himself & his assistant, Kirsten (right before Covid restrictions), I knew I was working with a professional & efficient team. He is very knowledgeable and presented options to help me make confident decisions about my care with all of my three surgeries. Dr Da Lio is attentive; I never felt rushed in any of my clinic visits through the reconstruction process. He is gracious & humorous with all of my questions & concerns. You can tell he is passionate and skillful with his work. I get compliments on how well done my sutures were, leaving minimal scars. I had a consultation with Dr. Andrew da Lio for gender affirming top surgery that I felt was both brief and deeply uncomfortable. I cannot speak to his ability as a surgeon or doctor, I did not pursue treatment with him after that initial meeting. I recommend you (especially other trans people) do your research and come to your own conclusions.

The front desk staff and Dr. Andrew L. Da Lio were amazing and took great care of me. I had an accident and had bit through my tongue splitting it. I was not sure whether it needed surgery and what type of doctor to go to. I called several ENT doctors, and all them could not see me. I also was not sure if Urgent Care could handle this. I was nearby UCLA anyway and walked up to the front desk and told her my situation. She spoke to the manager, and to Dr Da Lio who said they would see me right away and let me know if I needed surgery or not. Even this consult was a huge benefit. In the room, Dr Da Lio was straightforward and caring. He and his medical assistant decided that the bite was severe enough to require 5 stitches to heal better. He did it right there on the spot and my tongue is healing very well. I am so thankful that his staff worked to accommodated me -- I wasn't even a patient of UCLA. I'm even more thankful that Dr. Da Lio is so skilled and helped fix my tongue.

I needed to repair my breast reconstruction. The radiation made my skin too thin so I had to get a back flap surgery to replace the skin that was about to tear. Dr. Da Lio is very kind and caring. He took time to explain the process to me and answered all my questions. I was dreading the procedure because it sounded horrible -- taking a piece of skin from my back to cover the thin skin on my breast, remove the old implant and replace it. Dr. Da Lio did excellent work. I am very happy.

Dr. Da Lio performed diep flap surgery on my left breast at UCLA medical center, in August of 2018. He did an excellent job. I’m very happy with the results. My stomach looks great and all old scars are gone. I recommend him to anyone who is looking for an experienced surgeon.
