Dr. Andrew Dylan Frutkin

He is USELESS as a cardiologist. My experience has caused me medical problems because he did not recognize my prognosis, and never helped me to solve my heart problems.

My husband Klaus has had a very, very difficult time reaching Dr. Frutkin to approve a pain management shot plus other questions. We contacted him over a week ago and have yet to hear back. I have been a patient for several years and there is nothing bad about my relations with this doctor. My only suggestion is that if you are with another Cardiologist switch over to Dr. Frutkin and you will see what I'm talking about. In my eyes he is the best. I just left Eisenhower after a visit with Dr. Frutkin. I will be requesting another cardioligist if I need someone next time I'm visiting here. I don't question his ability or knowledge. The reason I never want to see him again is simple. This guy not only has no bedside manner...he is flat out rude. He gives the impression that he couldn't care less about you as a person. I know it's a cliche, but I truly felt like a number. No smile. Not cordial at all. It's just not that hard to at least ACT like you care. He doesn't seem to. It's all numbers and stats and instructions. There is nothing compassionate about this man at all. He's a robot. I've only seen him twice, once for cardiac stent implants, and today for a follow up. Even when he said, "How are you feeling?" it came off like he was obligated to ask, not like he really cared.

So glad that my primary care physician had referred to Dr. Frutkin. A marked difference from my previous cardiologist! Great bedside manner, extremely thorough and caring professional! Entire staff is a pleasure to interact with.

I would allow Dr. Frutkin to do any cardiac procedure on me. And he has - since 2016 he has performed several angiograms, TAVR, TEE, TMVR and soon a cardioversion. He is very thorough and carefully explains the situation and the treatment. He remembers my medical and personal history from visit to visit He is an excellent doctor.

Seems like a good doctor but wouldn’t know beyond my initial visit. Left him due to poor follow up. Cancelled my appointment twice, still waiting for results of my tests. Would not recommend.

Excellently trained and good judgment. I note he is basically conservative in managing this 75 year old physician's heart disease, which is wise. (If it ain't broke, don't fix it.) Communicates clearly and discusses concerns forthrightly. Highly recommended.

Dr. Andrew Frutkin, MD, most likely saved my wife from having a stroke, heart attack or worse. He used extremely good judgement in taking immediate action as to implanting a stent during a routine angioplasty procedure. The artery in view, had a 90% occlusion which could have led to disaster. In my view, Dr. Frutkin is a pure professional with the rare skills of getting ahead of the patient's problems. His patient pre and post-op briefings are outstanding! CDR Jerry K. Loeb, USN (Ret.)

Dr. Frutkin saved my fathers life by performing heart surgery after he was brought in by EMTs post-cardiac arrest. He was later transferred to Keck USC in LA to be placed on ECMO machine for life support. The doctors at Keck stated that my fathers surgery performed the day before by doctor Frutkin was beautifully done. We are so thankful for doctor Frutkin and his work.

I have been a patient of Dr Frutkin, probably one of his first when he came to the Coacella Valley. He has been right on in handling my A -fib. He is confident and straight forward in his explanations. He has preformed 2 cardio versions the last few years on me. I trust him to continue to provide me with excellent care.
