Dr. Andrew J Gordon

He did my EMG/NCS test. He was very gentle and nice. Very knowledgeable. I definitely recommend Dr. Gordon! Staff was also friendly and nice.

Excellent doctor. Dr Gordon is great. He is very helpful and kind. Staff is great too. If you have myasthenia gravis this is the doctor to see!

Zero empathy for procedures and how nervous a patient can be. Dr. Gordon did my EMG and was very rough as I had one a few years ago at Lake Forest Hospital by another doctor. This time, I was sent for biopsies. I asked him to explain the procedure and was asked if I wanted to proceed or come back. Frankly, the doctor is cocky and short fused. I see another doctor in the group but I always get this doctor for procedures.

Excellent doctor. Very helpful. He did a thorough work up and put me on an effective medication that is working - I am feeling much better now!

Dr Gordon is the best doctor I have ever worked with. He is knowledgeable and approachable. He is easy to talk to and always helpful. I used to see a doctor at Northshore and I switched to him a few years ago. So glad I did!

Dr Gordon is the best. I have myasthenia gravis. He explains things so well. He has helped me a ton, adjusted my treatment and I now have my life back! Also, office is great- responsive and the staff are very kind.

I had an emergency where I had to take my father to the ER and that made me 10 minutes late to an appointment with Dr. Gordon. I tried calling before to let them know I was going to be late, but their office does not accept calls on Saturday. They would not see me and only offered an appointment two weeks later, even though I was dealing with cluster headaches. It’s odd how they can make you wait hours past your appointment, but won’t accommodate 10 minutes due to an emergent situation. Great care and followup from Doctor Gordon. It is disappointing that it is not possible for his office to send medical reports to patients by fax or email, only snail mail. This is 2019 for gosh sake. Always long waits in queue when phoning the office. One star off for difficult front office.

Dr Gordon has been my husband's neurologist since April 2017. He has monitored Bob's Parkinson's symptoms and prescribed meds which have helped him live with his growing motor and non- motor impairments. As his disease progresses, Dr. Gordon has revised meds and assisted us in applying for disability benefits. We are grateful for the management of Bob's care by Dr. Gordon. All he cared about was doing more test and never treated my illness at all. Then he told me there was nothing he could do and sent me to my pain management doctor

Very Difficult to contact and get a response from him

My father is one of Dr. Gordon's patients. He is currently in the hospital, we called to ask a question of Dr. Gordon, we wanted to know if he knew of a liquid form on a Parkinson's medication. The very RUDE person on the phone was short in responses and would not even take a message to relay to the Dr. We have trusted this man with my fathers care. You would think they would take an interest in helping their patient. We ended up calling his internist who was amazing and within 5 minutes had a few options to talk to the hospital staff about.! You may want to do some sensitivity training to the front desk staff.. We will be looking for a different Dr who actually cares about their patients instead of just collecting a paycheck. Dr Gordon is kind, attentive, brilliant, caring, explains everything very clearly, and makes sure his patient receives the best care.

He didn’t look at any of my scans, symptoms, tests, or did he take care in listening to me. It was my first visit and I left feeling like he didn’t understand what was really going on with me. He was a little insulting at times. I wouldn’t recommend him for anything severe.

Dr. Gordon is outstanding. Very helpful and thorough. I had a complicated nerve issue. He figured out what was wrong. I am now on medication that has improved my quality of life. He really listens, he is caring and detail-oriented. Best doctor I've ever seen!

Dr. Gordon treated my father recently. He gave my dad such outstanding care! My dad said that he has never had a doctor take as much time and had more patience! That is a big compliment from a man who has seen quite a few doctors in his time.

Saw Dr. Gordon for headaches I thought were related to a nerve condition resulting from the shingles I had on my face a few years ago. He did a thorough examination and intently listened to the symptoms I had been having for a long time. After the MRI came back normal and exam showed nothing serious, he prescribed me some medication. I took the medication as prescribed and have not had any of the problems I had been having prior to the appointment. He was extremely helpful.

Dr Gordon is a knowledgeable and compassionate doctor and I am so glad to have found him. I have been seeing him for several years and he has taken excellent care of me. I have recommended him to others and they have always thanked me for doing so.

I have seen Andrew Gordon several times. He had a real attitude in the appointments and did not focus on me. Several days after my last appointment I went to see my long term family dr,. He gave me a copy of Gordon's notes and said I really need to read them. I was shocked. Several times Gordon had taken 2 or 3 words from a sentence and completely twisted them. At other times he completely made up parts. My recommendation, if you are a patient of Gordon read his notes. If new find someone else.
