Dr. Andrew Yoo Seung Lim

Dr. Lim and staff made me fell very comfortable before my shoulder surgery. They all took care of me before and after my surgery job well done, I would like to acknowledge everyone that took part in my successful operation thank you all.

Dr. Lim performed my bicep tear re-attachment surgery in February of 2022. The experience afterwards has been terrible. After coming home I noticed I could not move my hand, and felt like my forearm bone was breaking. I went in and was told that my cast was wrapped entirely too tight, and it was NORMAL for my hand to not work. I gave it more time, and my hand and fingers were still NOT working properly. I had to go back in and explain how I did my own research, and that this is not normal. I was briefly explained that nerve damage can happen (never throughly explained before the op). He was not nice or professional at all. Over a year later, and my left hand still doesn't function properly. It impacts my work on the daily, and Dr. Lim nor the office seem to care. It's truly sad people can do this. I WARN you, do not let this person operate on you.

I found Dr. Lim to be highly professional, courteous, prompt, friendly and able to offer me options as well as answer all of my questions. I especially appreciate his surgical experience and skill and found him to be outstanding in EVERY way. I would not hesitate to call upon him and his team should I need upper extremity repair again.

He listened to my concerns about treatment and answered my questions about the treatment he proposed. I trusted his judgement and allowed him to proceed. I already see an improvement and am so glad that I finally decided to seek help!

Dr. Kim was knowledgeable and straightforward when I came in with carpal tunnel issues in my hands. I felt like he listened to my concerns and was reassuring.

Dr Lim has performed several shoulder, wrist, hand and finger surgeries for both myself and my wife. He is an excellent surgeon who offers alternative options before quickly going into surgery. This is appreciated.

Cold and dismissive. Accused my son of faking his elbow injury. He told my son “something is wrong with you but it’s not your elbow”. Made my grown son cry. Highly inappropriate and insulting to insinuate my son has mental health issues. He finally agreed to allow an MRI. The MRI came back showing damage to the elbow.

He was quick, informative, and very stylish. Answered all my questions regarding my options over my thumb break and has great staff amongst him.

Dr Lim treated me with dignity and respect. He was very thorough with the exam and explained his diagnosis clearly. I felt extremely comfortable as a new patient !

I am so glad I saw this ortho specialist. Or had tried another up north however the he staff was obnoxious AND the doctor would not validate parking. The staff at Andrew Lim’s so far is well-above average, and when I met the doctor, I was sold! He was very well-versed in his specialty and showed me how much he knew of my situation within a very short period of time. Dr. Andrew Lim was also very polite and I liked his style of communication with me. He was respectful and treated me like an actual human being, which unfortunately goes dismissed with other groups. His staff was extremely productive with taking my tests with immediate results so this made the staff productive and efficient- basically doing their job well! Also, the minute I checked in, I was put into a doctors room within minutes! Good business! Very knowledgeable! Very professional as a doctors office should be! Give this guy a try! Friendly, professional & helpful. Dr Lim took the time to address my concerns and set me up with a doable treatment plan moving forward.

Several members of my family, including me, have seen Dr. Lim. I am always thankful when we are directed to Dr. Lim. One example is when he diagnosed a break on my child’s hand that was not evident on x ray until our follow up where we could see where the bone had healed. Another time, he was able to advise me if the best combination of OTC pain relief to combine with one prescription so I didn’t have to have 2 prescriptions. He is a very gifted doctor. I’m SO scared of needles, and Dr. Lim gave me a Cortisone shot in my left hand! I know it will help with my trigger finger, as I am left handed! Thank you Dr. Lim. Also, his nurse is awesome!

I agree with MJS and Liz O and Burner 100%! A complete waste of time. I filed a complaint with Blue Shield and with Torrance Physicians Network.

Dr. Lim seemed very cold and you have to sit there waiting for a long long time, and he rushed in only spent less than 5 minutes with you, he seemed aloof.

No empathy. I am sure that he is very capable, but the lack of empathy was extremely disheartening given the amount of pain that I am experiencing.

Great Physician, takes the time to explain in a clear and concise manner what is going on with your diagnosis.

Everyone was very pleasant and helpful. No.long waits or crowded waiting rooms. Very professional and efficient.

We went to see Dr. Lim due to an emergency and the experience and staff have been great.

Dr. Lim and his team were fast and efficient and I was quite satisfied with my surgery.

Had a very professional experience with Dr. Lim and his office staff. (From the initial phone call, to the follow up call, to the appointment) When I arrived at their clinic I was greeted cordially, had my temperature taken, and was asked a few travel and medical questions. (Which I was happy that they were being thorough) From there I went to Dr. Lim"s office. At Dr. Lim's office, I spoke to the office personal for my appointment. Was given "New Patient" paperwork to fill out. Before I was able to fill it out, I was taken to the examination room. Soon after the nurse came in and asked me about my injury and prepared my x-rays for the Dr. Lim. She was very professional and personable. Once everything was set, she told me that the doctor would be in shortly. And he was. Dr. Lim came in and greeted me. He then looked my x-rays and told me there were two ways to fix my fractured hand. We discussed it for a few minutes and I decided which treatment was best for me. He acknowledged my decision and set the wheels in motion. One thing I found out about Dr. Lim is his attitude about his patients. Dr. Lim will give his patients the information needed to make their decision and is not one to recommend surgery unless absolutely necessary. He is direct and to the point. With that, the nurse came back and mended my fractured hand with a cast. I was even able to choose one of about twelve colors that I wanted for my cast. The nurse in attendance was the best nurse I have met. I cannot say enough about her. I am very Thankful for doctors and nurses who tirelessly serve our needs and do it with a smile. Dr. Lin explained the procedure that would needed to be done later if my finger got infected. He explained my injury and I liked his bedside manner.

Welcoming, caring, and friendly attitude from staff and Dr Lim. I did not feel rushed during my initial and follow-up visit. Dr Lim took the time to actively listen to my needs and concerns in regards to the pain I was having and how it interfered with my daily living activities. We discussed the treatment plans available and 2 months later I’m at 90%. Thanks!

Dr Lim explained a lot today at My appt! After a year of waiting to get my shoulder right! After 2 cancellations due to Pandemic! It’s been a year to this day 1st cancellation due to Pandemic!

Suffer from advanced Carpal Tunnel in both hands. Initial evaluation and exam....met and exceeded expectations. Dr Lim is very personable. He explained the problem and the recommended treatment and spent more than enough time responding to all of our questions. Had the left hand done yesterday, 3/16/21. On the pain-level scale of 1 to 10 , post-surgery pain has not reached a 1 and hoping it stays that way. Today, able to make a somewhat clinched fist but still have numbness. Will never achieve pre-surgery comfort but I can live with that. When Dr.L. gives the go-ahead, will get the right hand taken care of. Again, high marks go to Dr.Lim and to South Bay Surgery Center staff; Admitting, Pre-Ops, Surgical, and Post-Ops. Dave Decell, Redondo Beach

Love Dr Lim. Very professional and a very good surgeon. He just did surgery on my shoulder. Had a great experience. He does care about his patients.

This doctor recommended the wrong treatment for me and made my condition worse. I had to go to another doctor to get the issue resolved. He also does not listen to his patients concerns and brushes them off. I would not recommend.

Elbow Pain. Intermittent over the last 5 years (comes and goes). Staff seems stressed. Doctor seems very rushed and has an arrogant attitude. Very dismissive about my own comments, and questions. Spent maybe 5 minutes with me, looked at my x-rays for less than a minute, and diagnosed it as a probable torn rotator cuff. I spoke with another doctor (professor at Stanford University), and this rotator cuff idea makes no sense. I have ZERO pain in my shoulder and I ride a bike 160 miles per week, which I kept telling the doctor and being dismissed. It was estimated that it most likely just inflammation. I took ibuprophen and iced my elbow for a couple days, and pain is 100% gone. Dr Lim was immediately talking about probable surgery to fix it. 2 weeks later, I get a message that an MRI is scheduled for 8pm on Halloween and a follow up visit with the doctor. I get the feeling that this doctor is all about $$$. Both visits have been cancelled, and I will not be going back.

I had Dr. Andrew Lim perform surgery on my smashed left wrist in early March. Dr. Lim is not overly talkative, but he explained everything thoroughly. My outcome was far better than I could ever have imagined. Scarcely any sight of two long incisions and complete mobility. Of course, I was a very good patient and did all that was asked of me. I gratefully give him a superlative grade!

Quite arrogant, didn't seem like he listens to his patients concerns. When you ask questions, he's brief and brushes them off as unimportant. You feel rushed and spends very little time addressing your concerns. I will be switching to another doctor.

Fabulous doctor, explained everything and very attentive. I had my shoulder reconstructed and he not only did a great job on the surgery, but he took great detail in closing it up. The scar healed much better than I expected.
