Andy was our family therapist for many years! He even became our co-parenting/co-family therapist after my divorce and both myself and kids' dad remarried. He gave us tools to use, opened us up to have insight into one another, and helped us learn key communication skills that we are still using today. His heart is genuine, and his number one goal in his sessions is to build strength in each person individually which then by default build the family as a whole! We've since grown up and out of therapy (thats what happens when you get a healer), but even though I now live 3 hours away from him, I would forgo the once a week 3 hr drive to continue to work with Andy if ever a future need!! Don't waste your time or your money! I had a lot of respect for Andy mattern and his wife being raised in this community and knowing the postive things they had done with the youth of our county....seeing both for 2 sessions and hearing the same "white water rafting" story for 30 mins at $120 an hour....I would seek more skilled profesional advice from a better counselor. Don't waste your time or money Honest opinion.
