Waited months to get in for an apportionment based on an ER referral due to excessive bleeding for over a month and then passing massive clots. At the same time this happened I began experiencing severe back pain that prevented me from being able to stand in place for more than a minute or walk any type of distance like grocery shopping without being in severe pain where my legs shake. I had thought it may be fibroids. I was initially referred in April of 2022 but when I called the office the day after the ER visit I was told that there weren’t any available appointments until the end of July. I declined because who waits 3 months for an ER referral? I figured I’d be ok by then. I wasn’t and when October came I decided to try again. I was scheduled for the end of November and then that appointment was rescheduled by her office. I ended up sick and had to reschedule. I was finally seen in December. She said she wanted to review the ER images from APRIL and sent me for blood work and scheduled me to come back in February. At the February appointment the nurse claimed I didn’t sign a release so the images (FROM APRIL) weren’t reviewed. They finally find them and Dr. Mayes said that the images showed nothing and that my back and walking issues are due to my weight and that I need to get my “diabetes under control”. My bloodwork showed that I’m prediabetic not that I have diabetes that is “out of control” and there was no consideration regarding the increased weight gain from not being able to stand and walk for 10 months or any concern regarding the continuous passing of hand sized clots. I have spent months building my iron levels back up after bleeding for a month straight and having my hemoglobin drop pretty low but every time my cycle comes I have to start all over again. It felt dismissive and condescending and made me wonder if she fat shames her pregnant patients and dismisses their concerns and issues or if it’s just the non-pregnant patients?

Probably the worst OBGYN office I had to deal with in life. I’ve literally had back to back issues since My first visit and immediately decided to change offices to the one I have currently. This is not my first pregnancy so I’m aware of the proper protocol and process dealing with pregnant women. My insurance covered my visit and I still paid out of pocket and had to make it my business to keep calling to get reimbursed for the money spent out, if I never reached out they would have kept all of my money! Not only that but the little lady at the window is absolutely rude and emotionless! She definitely have to do some customer service training! Ugh I just wish I never wasted my time and energy. Dr Mayes is absolutely hands down amazing! She delivered my 8 and 7 year old by c-section and surprisingly we just found out we are expecting again! Her staff has always been nice to me. I am currently 10 weeks pregnant and wouldn’t think of using another doctor to deliver this baby c-section. She doesn’t sugar coat anything, professional, has a vivid sense of humor, amazing in the operating room, and is there for you every step of the way. Yes, sometimes she gets busy(can you blame her?), and staff may ask if you are okay with seeing another doctor. All of them are great, but if you want only Dr. Mayes, just communicate that and they will listen. Called to get a appointment person was rude

Dr. Mayes is really good Dr. But she need to replace the people who work in the front office, they are very nasty not professional at all. I waited for 2 and half hours and left the office without seen the Dr. They made me feel like i have to be hispanic to be see by the dr.

She's amazing! Very personable and I will be returning to her for my next gynecology appointment.

Dr. Mayes was incredibly friendly and personable. Her staff was very kind as well. Wait time was an hour past my appointment, but it was due to the fact that she was delivering a baby so I absolutely understood (I mean it’s an OB/GYN office after all). Will definitely return as a regular patient!

I couldn’t run out of here fast enough when the doctor asked me if I was getting blood work, which confused me because I figured she’d know since she’s the doctor...she saw the confused look on my face and asked me if I had my blood tested before. Which again threw me off because I had it done at my last appointment. Then the doctor proceeded to tell me she didn’t see my chart. (Twilight zone moment while I was waiting for her to tell me she was joking...she wasn’t joking) She mentioned I was 13 weeks pregnant and I told her at my ultrasound it was determined I was going into my 12th week, which the doctor responded with “don’t get caught up in the flimsy details”!!!!!!! I was waiting for candy camera to come out or Ashton Kutcher from Punk’d! This place is the most unprofessional doctors office I’ve ever experienced. I had two appointments here and will NEVER go back. I’m writing this review for other women who want to feel as though their privacy is respected, time is valued and their concerns are respected and their questions are answered respectfully. The doctors are good, efficient but lack empathy and understanding with the patients. The wait times vary, from 20 minutes to 1.5 hours The front staff are horrible. The refuse to take notes on simple and important things, like your appointment dates and times. They have no issue making you reschedule arround them. They promise that you will not be charged for somthing yet charge you for it anyhow. They neglected to inform us about a "mandatory" ultrasound that needed to be done until my wife was 1 week away from her due date. The front staff treat me and my wife differently due to us asking questions about our care and have put others infront of us. Please dont waist you time and money. You can do better. Dr Mayes has been my doctor since 2013, I have only saw her 3 times in 6 Years, I suffer from endometriosis and fibroids, and in the 6 years, she has not come up with a plan for a myomectomy, or a hysterectomy, I am in agony 3 weeks out of the month, have no quality of life and she doesn’t seem to care, all that was pushed on me was Lupron which is just a band aid in a wound and not a permanent solution, the wait time is way too long 1.5 to 2 hours, and you probably won’t see her, I was scheduled to see her a few times but she put me off on Dr. Rita! Choose this practice only if you need a Doctor like ASAP! She is knowledgeable but I still have major unresolved issue, that are getting progressively worse. Dr. Mayes delivered my son 3 years ago now and throughout my pregnancy she was an amazing doctor. I plan to go back to her for my second pregnancy.

Had Dr. Mayes as my Obgyn for my most recent pregnancy back in 2017. With Hpn ppo the office was very well priced from copays to the hospital delivery. She was very caring and attentive towards the health of my son and myself. I have had two high risk pregnancies prior and she kept my hypertension in check so I didn't have to risk my health and had a happy healthy baby boy. Absolutely terrible facility. I do not recommend you go this this office. I made appointment 3 weeks in advance, waited 1 hour before they told me that I cannot see the doctor because I needed a referral to see him. I asked why was I not informed before arriving to my appointment they said so sorry. I can't believe the unprofessional staff. If you can help it do go there!

I WONDER HOW MANY MOTHER'S THIS HAS HAPPENED TO HERE?! I strongly urge mothers to avoid this practice. They incorrectly typed my blood as O when I am in fact Rh- which means I would not have received a highly urgent Rhogam shot which places my unborn child at huge risk during delivery! Had it not been for me transferring my care to another practice due to the unprofessionalism of the medical staff here, I would have never known this HUGE error in my care was happening! Very unhappy with service by front office staff. Im Not one to complain but I'm just very upset. Long wait times only seen a real doctor once.The rest of this times I have no idea if it's a student or a Nurse. I'm trying to switch doctors to someone that will work with my Situation, but office staff is taking a long time to get paperwork over to new doctor. Honestly this is my 3rd child I have never experienced this at this office but there's a first time for everything. I do want say The times that I have seen doctor Mayes. I loved Mayes but I hardly ever got her. I always got students who knew nothing at all. The staff is horrible, they're quite rude and really look as if they hate their job. Now, for the doctors. They're all horrible. They look annoyed, they're too fast and one doctor never took my concerns into consideration. Always gave me her opinion rather than her medical advice. WORST STAFF. 2 hour wait times on a "schedule" - Those girls (nurses and schedulers) are the rudest I'v dealt with, I have never had a problem with any doctors office as I have had like in this place. Then they call to tell me "We've called several times and you've missed your appointment." Umm actually my appointment is next week, I even have the card with THEIR writing on it that it's next week. RUDE But besides that they LOSE paperwork. Worse Dr. Ever, I wouldn't recommend ANYONE to her. I'd tell you to deliver the baby yourself if this was at all possible. Rarely ever seen her at my appointments, they always gave me whoever was available. I think I met her twice. She delivered my baby by c-section , she actually had to come BACK to the hospital after the fact due to her NOT STITCHING ME PROPERLY and my stitches busted back open. I'm sure it was a rush job. Got here 20 minutes early and just got back to see Dr one hour later. The waitimg room conversations are the wait is always long but the Drs are great. We'll see. Granted the Dr is an OBGYN so lots of kids and babies amd crying in the wait area....uhg.

I gave it 2 stars only because the waiting time us very short. But how ever ive only met my doctor like twice. I never really got a chance to see her like that to discuss any concerns i may have had and im like 8 months now so. They were rude i would tell them no male doctors and they would continously send them in there and they response to me was your doctor is not in so im here in her place. I've been going to Dr Mayes for over 21 yrs. She is the only female Dr that I will go to. She takes time to talk to you and makes sure you understand everything. She makes you feel like family.

I've been trying to call to get my wife's test results but everytime I call the phone line just beeps. I'm getting really tired of waiting for my results.

Find a different profession Annette. She made my daughter wait over an hour while in labor because the nurses said she was eating. REALLY??? And the staff was just as disrespectful. There are lots of other doctors to choose from.

This was for my daughters first pregnancy check up. Her appointment was at 9 a.m and we arrived 20 minutes early. We didn't get seen till 9:45 a.m. Then we sat in the room for another 30 minutes. I have to say that the wait time is ridiculous. The staff was friendly, and the facility was nice and clean. I have to say the office staff was amazing. But the lab is the WORST THEY MADE ME EXTREMELY UPSET if they say anything is wrong make sure you ask to be retested. Worst experience I've ever had. I will be changing doctors.

Its sad the doctors Rita and mayes are so nice but their staff is so rude, this is the worst experience I have went thru besides losing my first baby, nd all i ever wanted was to make sure my second pregnancy is going well. I went to my first appointment ultra sound nd it was amazing i got to see my lil baby i then get scheduled for my next ultrasound nd seemed too far away but i respected that they have other patients aswell so i didnt take it that much of a problem til a get a call a week before my appointment from some girl named karen that i would have to reschedule my appointment because my insurance dont cover for it ?? That dont make sense if that was the case then why would they see me in the first place ?? So then karen calls me a couple days later that im good to go to my appointment as scheduled nd i was happy to come to the appointment on time and wait 2 hours and 30 minutes and dont get seen ?? Get schedule for another appointment here tomarrow but I feel so bad that they call me and argue with me and made me come in to waste my time i asked for days off work, i could have been working. I absolutely loved my experience with one of the doctors in Dr. Mayes office. Though I was upset with a long wait period in the exam room....once the doctor came she was informative and knew her job very well.

I've been a patient of Dr. Mayes since 2003. I was referred by a friend whoms wife was a patient many yrs prior...my daughter is also a patient. She and her staff are always very sweet & professional. Over the years I've recommend many family members & friends, whom all love her. I have never so displeased with a clinic and their functions. First off, I contacted a receptionist by the name of Vanessa who I must say was very pleasant and helpful especially with me being a new patient to the facility. She scheduled an appointment for me to see Dr. Annette Mayes for December 11th. I've waited over 3 weeks to see this doctor because I'm a new patient. I called their clinic on 12/10 to confirm my appointment and when I asked if my medical records arrived to the clinic, they told me no. Out of courtesy, the clinic shouldve contacted me to let me know they hadnt received the records. If i wouldnt have called, it wouldve been a wasted trip. All the receptionist are dumb as a bag of rocks and couldnt come up with a logical explaination as to why they couldnt contact me out of courtesy to let me know the visit would have to be postponed until the records were obtained. Dr Mayes is awesome. Highly qualified. She actually gets to know you and treats you with respect. She is constantly in a good mood and puts you at ease. We feel comfortable going to her again for our future children. Thank you Dr. Mayes
