Dr. Anthony H Balcom

Had an appointment for my 1 month old son with this doctor recently. He was incredibly warm and kind from the get go. He immediately makes you feel at ease. He was so gentle with my baby and walked me through test results and a procedure we were having done. He would speak softly to my son and comfort him when examining him. He genuinely cares about his littlest patients and their families. His nurses, especially Brad, are all the same way. You can feel their genuine care for working with children and giving them a positive experience. I left feeling confident and so happy that he was the lead of my sons care team. This doctor was absolutely meant to work with young kids. I can only imagine other patients feel the same way and enjoy seeing him!

Dr. Balcom is one of the best doctors I’ve encountered in a long time! I took my daughter to him for a second opinion after spending 9 months under the care of a pediatric urologist at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin. In the 9 months at Children’s my concerns were ignored and my child suffered. I couldn’t believe the night and day difference I experienced with Dr. Balcom. I could tell Dr. Balcom truly cared and he took his time and did a very detailed exam. He then took a lot of time to explain things to me and even showed me images from my daughter’s ultrasound. He was so personable. I left the office feeling like we were a team and we were doing everything possible to get to the root of my child’s problem. I am so happy I found him and would tell anyone looking for a urologist for their child to see him! Dr Balcom has been my son's Urologoy Dr for over 17 years (on and off for check ups, etc.). He is amazing. He is personable, understanding and really takes the time to learn about my son's future. He is a miracle worker with his special surgical skills.

Years ago I had a new born son who had very severe hypospadias. His pediatrician said we may have to consider our baby boy needing to have surgery making him into a girl. We knew there had to be another way. That's when our doctor sent us to see a new Dr. at Milwaukee children's hospital. Dr. Anthony Balcom. He not only gave us hope, he fixed the issue beautifully. Today my son is a happy & healthy 25 yr old man going to begin his own family. Dr. Balcom is an outstanding doctor & human being!

Great Doctor, very thorough and friendly. I would recommend him for all ages.

He's the best doctor I've had he's been my doctor all my life I'd recommend him he's got great bedside manners and always keeps you in the loop
