Dr. Anthony V Benenati

First, the staff is amazing! I injured my toe and they fit me into the schedule. Second, Dr. Benenati was beyond amazing! He was kind and very gentile when I had to have my toenail removed. No pain at all.

After 30 years, multiple pediatrists, foot doctors, living with pain, Dr Benenati has provided and guided me to resolve my issues with various solutions, other than unnecessary surgeries. His ability to diagnosis and provide clear and effective treatments, I am living pain free today and continue to do so. I am providing a recommendation to anyone looking to resolve their issues with his approaches.

I have had 10 years of pain in my left heel - an extremely sore spot that interfered with my walking and at times throbbed so much that it would keep me awake at night. There was nothing I could do to alleviate the pain. 8 years ago, I was sent for an MRI that showed a fibroma but the 3-4 podiatrist/surgeons I saw over the years afterwards would only prescribe PT and orthotics for my "plantar fasciitis" because they couldn't feel the lump in my heel. A friend recommended Dr Benenati - he read the MRI report, did an exam and xray and wanted to help me. I had surgery to remove the fibroma about a month ago and immediately following surgery, I had less pain than before, despite the surgical incision. The fibroma was gone! I'm looking forward to being back to normal.

I highly recommend Dr. Benenati for the fact that he is an exceptional foot surgeon. He was able to correct my problem that none of my other doctors could do. He is such a caring thoughtful person who takes the time to listen to you and answer any questions you might have. Yes I would highly recommend him!

I’ve had two surgeries performed by Dr Benenati, both were highly successful. Dr Benenati is very personable and yet still very profession. He explains everything in detail, both pre and post surgery. He explained things so that a non-medical professional could understand. The medical care provided by Dr Benenati is exceptional, he is very good at what he does! The office staff is amazing, they are kind, professional and very easy to work with. Every appointment was on-time and without long waits in the exam room. I would highly recommend Dr. Benenati and his practice to anyone who needs care in his field.

I am on my feet all day long for work and was having pain in both of my feet. After suffering for many years I decided to make an appt with Dr Benenati. Best decision I made. Diagnosis bunions on both feet. First surgery Feb 2021 on my left foot. A little pain that lasted maybe a few weeks but not unbearable and walking by week 2 . Back to work 8 weeks later and no pain. Second surgery Oct 29th. No pain at all and walking 4 days later. Both surgery I was schedule for 7:30am and I was home by 11am Dr Benenati and staff very professional and all appt after the surgery I’ve been taken care of promptly. Would recommend Dr Benenati

Dr Benenati is the greatest guy. I wouldn't go anywhere else if they paid me. His office staff and clinical staff are kind, and attentive. Less than 2 miles from my home. He sees patients at other sites as well. I would highly recommend you check them out if needed!!

Needed bunion surgery on my right foot. Dr Beninati performed the surgery and handled the follow up appointments. All went 100% according to plan with excellent results. Very professional and very friendly. The staff at the offices were top notch and friendly as well. Highly recommend...

Went to see Dr. Benenati for the first time today. I have been dealing with a problem for several years that was causing daily foot pain. I was greeted by a very polite, friendly staff. Then Dr. Benenati came into the room. I explained my problem and he say's "we'll take care of that". Well, by the time I walked out of the office, I thought I had a new foot! I'm thinking, why didn't I see this guy years ago. For the first time in years, I am walking pain free. Thank you Dr. Benenati!

Great experience! Friendly office staff. Dr. Benenati took very good care of my feet. No pain. I will go back and I definitely recommend him .

I ruptured my acilles tendon and was referred to Dr Benenati from his older brother. I was under his care for a heel spur. I am still recovering, but Dr Benenati has been amazing to work with. He was able to get me into surgery right away. He works out of multiple hospitals to make it convenient for his patients. After my surgery he explained everything to my wife. He called me personally the next day to see how I was feeling. He doesn’t mince words either when it comes to your care. He made it very clear that if I’m not resting and taking care of myself I will only hinder my recovery. I also got my cast wet after a shower and he was able to get me into the office right away to change my cast. 3 days later I fell andhis office was able to get me in right away to check my leg and change the cast again. I have been very happy with his service and highly recommend him to all. His office staff is very friendly and efficient making the overall process very smooth. Dr. Benenati performed bunionectomy surgery on my left & right foot in May '99 & August '99 respectively. Both surgeries + healing went very well. Fast forward to July 2018, I suffered a horrendous fall/injury that ruptured my Achilles. Dr. Benenati was called to the ER & he remembered me from my surgeries in '99! Dr. B was informative, professional, supportive, did EXCELLENT work to repair my Achillles and he & his staff have helped me tremendously each step of the way throughout my healing.

Wait time is terrible. If you have an appointment at 2 you may be seen at 3-3:30. After you listen to him talk to other older patients for long periods of time your appointment will feel extremely rushed . Once he comes to see you he will begin walking towards the door. After three visits and over $500 in co-pays (I cannot afford) the same condition since the first day I began with him. I am in so much pain and only prescribed Mobic. If your name is Italian it may help. He never remembers you.

My heel pain was eliminated with one shot. Great doctor and very personable.

If you need a foot doctor i suggest you go and see Dr.Benenati in St.clair Shores. He is an awesome doct that gives you the best care that he can. His staff in the office is very nice and polite and helps you with what they need to help you with. I went to see him on tuesday for my ankle and i had surgery on friday. He did an awesome job. You can not even tell that i broke it. So if you know anyone that needs a foot doctor or surgeon suggest Dr.Benenati. Lisa Luker

Don't be in a hurry .. depending on who he is treating you can be waiting an hour (that's just part of the unknown of who may need a lot of his time because of unforeseen problems) My advice call and see if he is running late before you leave your home. Staff is very nice and he was as well but I did let him know I wasn't thrilled about the wait. I will be having surgery on a couple weeks. Hope to have something positive to say!

We have been going to Dr. B for a few years now and him and his staff have bent over backwards to help us. Recently my husband was hospitalized with an infection. If it wasn't for Dr. B insisting on surgery I'm not sure my husband would have walked out of the hospital. I highly recommend Dr. Benenati if you're looking for a great Podiatrist who is very knowledgeable and caring. Just reading this other review makes me wonder if she is really talking about Anthony Benenati. I have had three surgeries with this doctor. One was 20 years ago, the most recent was in May 2016. He is a very caring and knowledgeable doctor. He explains all the procedures in detail, never pressures a patient to get surgery. Believe me I waited 2 years to have the last one done. I have never known him to not speak with his patient after surgery to make sure you know exactly what you need to discharge. Since I have been a patient, along with my daughter and other family members, I can honestly say he is the best. His staff is top notch, they will always return my call in a timely matter. If you need assistance after hours there is always a doctor on call to help you. I would highly recommend Anthony Benenati, which I have many times. I'm very active and when I went to Dr. Benenati with foot pain he touched it for less than a second and knew just what it was. He explained it very well and made me feel at ease about everything I was to expect along with surgery. He takes each case personal with care down to the very last stitch as not to leave a scare. I was so pleased with him, his skills, his office staff they are all great and the after care and follow up visits. So if your looking for a foot Dr. He's the one. Thank You..

Dr Benenati is a great podiatrist. I had severe nail fungus for years. After just 3 laser treatments, my fungus is completely gone and my toes look better than they ever have. His staff was very knowledgeable and pleasant and the overall experience was amazing. I would highly recommend Dr. Benenati to all of my friends and colleagues.

Anthony Benenati has been my DR. & the 1st surgery was on both feet at same time & lasted over 25yrs & just had surgery on Dec.9th on left ankle which was serious and I'am now walking normal. I can't even imagine why in the world this doctor would receive anything less than five stars. From start to finish of my treatment he was very attentive and listened to all of my concerns and answered every last question. He took his time and I never felt rushed. The staff is amazing too, friendly and very informative. I have sent family members and friends to him and they all said what a wonderful experience they had.

After a hour wait, Dr.Benenate came in RM. l am trying to tell him about first fall down my steps never ask me about it told him l was in a boot 3 weeks , fell down steps again and my feet and ankles are in so much pain told him l was taking ibuprofen 800 he said no. talking to me walking out of room needed x rays.. all is fine l think it is in your back he sending me for EMG on back, yes l have bad back but my feet and ankles after fall pain pain cry in pain, no sleep go to Dr Shaw the best

I have been a patient for Dr. Benenati for eight years. From our first meeting until my most recent appointment today, Dr. Benenati has been most professional in his demeanor and takes the time always to thoroughly explain options for your particular situation. He takes his time and makes you feel very comfortable and answers any questions you may have. His staff is WONDERFUL and pleasant. I have been to other podiatrists...Dr. Benenati and his staff are far SUPERIOR!

Dr. Benenati is a superb and personable professional in his field. My recent experience with this physician when I twisted my ankle on a treadmill and woke up to unbearable pain in my foot, not to mention it was swollen and I couldn’t 'walk. I was referred to Dr. Benenati by a family friend who spoke highly of his work. I called Saturday as a new patient and was scheduled an appointment within 1 hour! As I walked in the office I was greeted by Maria who was very professional and polite.

Working on an assembly line 10 hours a day,with golfball sized bunions,left me in excruciating pain..I met with Dr benenati who explained that we could try conservative treatments and see if that would help..steroid injections gave little relief & surgery was scheduled..amazing..should have done it years ago!I refer Dr benenati to all my friends & family with foot problems. He is no nonsense & to the point,and gave me a thorough understanding of the procedure and recovery time.big thumbs up

My daughter has surgery on her foot in November of 2014 at U OF M and her foot and it has turned out worse then when she went. We came to see Dr. Benenati and he agreed to fix it. Surgery date was September 16th 2016 and we came back for check up today and change cast. OMG WHAT A DIFFERENCE WE COULD TELL ON JUST LOOKING AT IT ALONE. I'm so excited myself for her especially going to buy shoes to fit better and NOT TO BE IN ANYMORE PAIN. She's in tears with excitement and I'm so HAPPY FOR HER

Dr. Benenati is an awesome awesome doctor he is truly one of a kind his cheerful demeanor had me very relaxed the first time i met him and he made me feel like he was treating a member of his family his one on one time with me was super he filled me in on tings i needed to know about and ways to help maintain my foot health this man is truly remarkable I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM to anyone who need a great foot doctor i know i picked mine thank you doc. Dr. Benenati has done several surgeries on my feet. It's been six years since my first operation and do not have any problems with the toe joints or fusion area. I am planning to have him do a fusion on my other foot soon. He remembers his patients' names and problems which is rare among doctors. I highly recommend him and his surgical skills to any one who asks me about him.

This doctor screwed up my father in law's feet so badly that he refuses to go to podiatrists any longer.

I had surgery on my foot that left in constant pain. Dr Benenati said he could fix it and after getting my hopes up that it could be fixed, he told me he didn't want to get involved. Wow, I thought doctors were healers.

WOW Dr. Beneanti and his staff was awesome from beginning to end. My surgery was a total success. The total experience was fast efficient and very personal. Dr.B. has such a wonderful bedside manner. It's been a year now and my foot looks awesome my scare is healing perfectly. He was excellent with my pain management and always available. See you soon for my next surgery Dr. Benenati. This dr doesnt even deserve 1 star! My mom had surgery today at st john hospital on her foot by this jerk. After surgery he was no where to be found, didnt let family know how surgery went after it was done. And also did not give a perscription! How are u going to perform an hour foot surgery and not give any medication. While at the hospital the lady next to us was having the same issue with same dr. Well the hospital couldnt give her any meds after surgery because he was no where to be found and was not answering his pages. My mom was sent home with no medication from hospital at 11am. Well they told us to call drs office at 2pm to get a script. So we did, it was a fight with the nurses and dr on phone. They didnt want to give my mom norco cuz she is allergic to codeine.. umm last time i checked codeine isnt in norco.. finally was able to get a script for medication and they want her drive to come pick up the medication! Are u serious??? My mom just had surgery on her foot, is on bed rest now till dr appt, and u just want her to jump in a car to come get a script, which should have been given at the hospital! Needless to say i had to drive to their 21 mile location when im in warren to get the medication for my mom not to be in pain. I seriously cant beleive a dr would do this, shame on him and their staff. If you need a foot dr, i highly recommended finding a differant dr. This dr doesnt even deserve 1 star!
