Dr. Patel was interviewed by Ari Shapiro on NPR's All Things Considered about his research showing that fulfilled wishes give such a boost to the child's health because of the hope and strength they give, that more money is saved in health costs than was spent in "granting" the wish!

Dr. Patel is the worst doctor we have experienced! He revoked my son’s diagnosis of epilepsy and refused to even meet with us to explain why he disagreed with his past doctors and clear testing showing seizures. When I asked to see a different doctor at Nationwide Children’s for a second opinion, he told me he would bad mouth us to every doctor in the practice if we tried to see another doctor there. He lied repeatedly to us. He put my son’s life at risk.
