Dr. Arie Vadim Gluzman

I was referred to Dr. Gluzeman by my rheumatologist about 3 1/2-4 months ago. I came to him in severe debilitating pain from an injury that resulted in Costochondritis. I also have been suffering from uncontrolled Fibromyalgia for 7 years. Dr. Gluzeman not only believed me, he is so incredibly good at what he does, he knew that I needed to start Aquatics Physical Therapy ASAP. He gave me pain medicine and got me approved for the PT right away and for 24 sessions the first round. I’ve been going twice a week for over 3 months and he got me approved for another 24 sessions. I LOVE GOING!! With me sticking to my Aquatics PT, and doing everything Dr. Gluzeman has advised me to do including getting more vitamin D, I am now ???? cured and recovered from my Costochondritis injury!!!???? And the best part is with the Aquatics PT, it is the ONLY thing that has helped me with my Fibromyalgia! My pain daily was at about a 6-7. It is now a 0-1! My flare ups have become rare and if they do occur, it is far less painful and it only lasts 24-36 hours!! Dr. Gluzeman gave me my life back! I’m a Stay at Home Housewife and can now get through my day in far less pain and not fear the repercussions if I push myself too hard! I no longer have to take Norco either! If you’re looking for a doctor whom will truly believe you, whom will truly help you, whom will support and encourage you; then Dr. Arie Gluzeman is your doctor. But, you have to be willing to actually put in the effort and not just pop a pill to mask the pain but make no improvements. He WILL help you to feel better if you’re truly wanting to be pain free and get your life back! You have to work at it with all your heart! This doctor gave me two epidurals because I could not walk. Because he did not do a simple blood test to see if I am diabetic or PRE diabetic catastrophe happened. I am 64. As a Hoag internist told me after, “The epidurals woke up the sleeping giant called diabetes.” I am so ashamed that I didn’t do my own research prior. My whole life is degraded now. I am down 22 pounds, have no energy, am on two diabetes meds three times a day, and I have to test my blood sugar twice a day. Please be careful and research your doctors and procedures before making catastrophic decisions.

I saw Dr. Gluzman for about five years and he treated me with Lyrica to help me with my spinal stenosis and degenerative disc disease. Then I got into a surfing accident and he decided to do a facet joint injection and there was a serious complication and I haven’t been able to walk in 2 years. Dr. Gluzman hit a nerve In my low back and severely disabled me where I am in excruciating pain every single day not able to work and not able to walk. My life has completely changed. So grateful for Dr Gluzman (outstanding office staff as well) for finding a solution to tremendous hip pain I had dealt with for over a year post hernia surgeries. Miserable sleep patterns (waking up every 2 hours or so) not able to get any real sleep....ABSOLUTELY MISERABLE!!!...I had multiple "specialists" examine me sending me for a plethora of procedures relating to nerve pain (MRI's, nerve-conduction tests, etc) to no avail. Dr Gluzman found that I had a hip flexor weakness and remedied the pain with an injection into the muscle/tendon area (brining immediate relief) and put me on an exercise program to strengthen the weak area and I'm back to normal sleep patterns and no discomfort during the day!!.THANK YOU!..I highly recommend Dr Gluzman!!! I was referred to this doctor for my migraine headaches. I have had these for over 30 yrs. Not much of anything helped. He gave me an injection in my neck, and within a few minutes the pain was gone and the shot lasted for 4 months. I just there on 1/21/2021. I can go from 4-5 months without a migraine.!!!! I had an excellent experience with Dr. Gluzman and his staff. I was referred to him for severe lower back pain that came on suddenly right before Christmas. I went to two other doctors who told me there was nothing that could be done for me and that my problem was typical of a woman in her 50s even though I just turned 50. By the time I got to Dr. Gluzman he was getting ready to go on vacation and did not have time to do a procedure. But he saw the amount of pain I was in and delayed his vacation by one day so he could do the procedure. I got two epidurals in a surgery center in December 23rd! Honestly have never been so happy another office chose to not answer their phones. I was looking for a doctor to help with an older injury that was beginning to cause me issues. I don’t like being handed pills or a bunch of unnecessary diagnostics. Dr Gluzman got to the point with the injury as well as giving me information on my treatment options. Dr. Gluzman and his staff are wonderful! I had a swollen ulnar nerve that I struggled with for two years (mis-diagnosis and chalked up to poor form). Received some relief through physical therapy. Got a referral for a specialized treatment and Dr. Gluzman was HIGHLY recommended as the guy. Dr. Gluzman took the time to really understand the issue and determine that the treatment I had been referred for was actually not as effective as Perineural injection therapy (PIT) would be. From the first day I met Dr. Gluzman he was inappropriate in his behavior toward me. It did not get better. The last time I was in the end of March 2021 for an injection in my back around my hip area he pulled my pants down to my legs which was shocking because the area for the injection was around my hips. I didn't say anything at the time because I was in shock. I have since discontinued using Dr. Gluzman as my pain doctor.

His first speech started with "you’re not a criminal, said it twice. On the second month my back was hurting as well as tendons from a fall down a ladder on my heal. The second visit was a telecall. I spoke to a receptionist for four or five minutes. Total call time was 7 minutes. Told her I started taking one of the three pills daily after midnight (new day). She apparently relayed (not accurately) this to Dr. Gluzman . I know this as on a second call she asked me" "you mean you are not out of meds". It was her mistake and his arrogance that has damaged my ability to find a new doctor and falsely wrote I wanted and early refill violating our agreement. My refill was 36 hours away. What logical person would do this on their second visit having taken pain medication for well over a decade. I am a 68 year old man with plenty of pain from peripheral neuropathy, spinal fusions, forefoot fusions and lumbar fusing. NOT A PILL SEEKER and all he was worried about was his license.

Dr. Gluzman is a brilliant doctor--I've been his patient for 10+ years. When I first came to him for chronic migraines, I had been to so many other doctors that hadn't been able to help me. Even so, Dr. Gluzman kept trying new treatments until we found something that worked for me. Dr. Gluzman respects and listens to his patients. All of his office staff are extremely professional, helpful and responsive. Virginia is always willing to go the extra mile to help and never fails to return calls. Just today I asked Minerva to help me by calling my pharmacy to make sure they had my pain medicine in stock. As usual, they didn't, but Minerva went above and beyond by calling three other pharmacies near me until she found one that did. I’ve been a patient of Dr Gluzman for sometime now. His office is clean and his staff is very nice. His staff always send out a friendly reminder the day before my appointment. On a recent visit for a follow up I mentioned my tennis elbow had been acting up and the pain was relentless. I have had on and off tennis elbow pain for many years and in the past my gp had given me cortisone shots, which always worked getting rid of the pain but the pain relief wouldn’t last. Dr Gluzman and I talked about options and he recommended some stretches but also shared a video he recently saw on YouTube. It was amazing it totally cured my tennis elbow. I was excited to bring a friend with me to my appointment to introduce her to Dr. Gluzman, hoping that he may be able to help her in future. I was mortified by the entire appointment and embarrassed that I subjected my friend and myself to the experience. When presented with a question regarding my lab results, Dr. Gluzman said that since he didn't order the labs, he wasn't going to discuss them with me. I understood that, but wasn't asking about the results. I only wanted to know what the initials for a particular test stood for. He began by telling me that it wasn't necessary for me to know that since I wasn't a doctor and when my friend suggestion we just look it up on the internet, he rolled his eyes and said we could waste our time doing that, but since we weren't doctors, we didn't need to. I was mortified by his condescending attitude. Then, he proceeded to tell me that my x-rays were negative, therefore my pain was negative and that I needed to, "Find something else to worry about." During the awkward silence, my friend received a text from her daughter who is visiting Israel. This sent Dr. Gluzman off on a negative rant about Israel and cell phones, ending with a snide comment about the electromagnetic energy in my friends "pelvic region" - his words, not mine (her phone was in her lap). I left the office knowing I had been thoroughly dismissed and the clear message that he does not want to see me again. No worries, I won't be back. Sadly, I will miss the amazing office staff. They always bend over backwards to help you and are wonderful people. I was in the midst of a crazy and intensely painful journey with “sciatic” pain attributable to an L4/L5 issue which was ultimately addressed through surgery. Dr. Gluzman was an oasis in this process. His diagnosis was spot on. He clearly explained the issue and pain management treatment options. He listened. His empathy and care were immensely helpful. He will give you the medical jargon debrief, and then speak to you in plain english until you are 100 comfortable. He will sit with you until you process, digest and respond. I had sciatica that had been getting worse and worse for months. I was working with a physical therapist who made some improvements but I had plateaued completely. My PT referred me to Dr. Gluzman and after initial consultation then first real visit I was 85% better. It was such a relief and improvement that I actually considered not going back for my second visit as I didn’t think there is anyway I could continue to get better. However on my follow up I did go ahead and continue treatment and after my second visit was up to 95% better I was blown away. I have spent the last decade of my life in severe debilitating pain after being injured on a structure fire. I came to Dr. Gluzman a year ago, however I was on so much pain medication, sleeping pills, and anxiety medication, Dr. Gluzman said he would not treat me due to the amount of medication my pain management doctor had prescribed to me. I started crying as I had no quality of life left. Dr. Gluzman looked at me and said, “I will treat you but not on this amount of medication.” That was a year ago, today I am beyond blessed as under the care of Dr. Gluzman I am off all but two medications that I continue to decrease the amount until I am completely off medication. I was referred to him by my surgeon after a very serious injury and after the surgery to manage my pain. Arie and his team did a great job making sure that I was comfortable and well informed on what to expect for my visits. He had prepared himself in advance of my first visit by reviewing the information provided by my neurosurgeon and thoroughly reviewing my films. Dr. Gluzman is the most egotistical, arrogant, unprofessional doctor I have ever met. He is a PAIN MANAGEMENT DR yet he did not prescribe me any pain medications, not even Ibuprofen when I asked. He is only interested in doing procedures on you ($$$) and when he can no longer find any procedures he can do he sends you back to your neurosurgeon who then asks. "who is managing your pain?" and when I say, "no one?" his response was "Isn't Dr. Gluzman a PAIN MANAGEMENT DOCTOR?" Shouldn't HE be caring for your pain?" And I just shrugged my shoulders. Dr. Gluzman also charges you $150 to fill out disability paperwork and tell you to go down to the disability office to get your own papers. They are purposely making it difficult for their patients to get put on disability, FOR A MONTH! $150 a month! And I even filled out the entire form the office manager to just copy from for her ease and they still charged me $50 after I did all the work! You should hear what the DR has to say about Police!!

Dr. Gluzman is solution oriented, and will help you figure out how to SOLVE your problem, not pass it on.

I was treated by Dr. A. Gluzman 2 weeks ago for a break in my ankle that happened 40 years ago. I have been in extreme pain and seeing orthopedic doctors but I was not getting any relief from the pain. I have bone on bone in the ankle because the ankle was not set correctly 40 years ago. Dr. Gluzman injected my ankle and it took about one week of resting the ankle, but I am currently pain free. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Gluzman to family and friends.

Dr. Gluzman is an amazing, no nonsense, neurologist specializing in pain management. He is passionate about identifying the source of your pain and eradicating it if at all possible. He is honest about what he can do for you. No false promises. Because he is a problem solver, he makes it a point to stay uptodate with all technological advances in equipment, pharmaceutical advancements and even office equipment. Icing on the cake is the wonderfully kind and extremely competent office staff.

I have never been treated with such disrespect by a physician.

He said he was bored with medicine, that he wanted more intellectual stimulation, and the shot he gave me in my knee did nothing. He should have ordered an MRI or at least an ultrasound. He seems depressed. Stay away!!!

I have to say, I went to the doctor very skeptical after hearing I needed surgery, not only did he spend a lot of time with me, he truly explained the issue and provided me with the knowledge I needed to move forward with surgery.
