Everything was very well. The nurses the doctors everybody was very nice and very helpful. No problems at all.

I have had a terrible experience with Dr Ahmad’s office. From the front desk receptionist with an angry attitude. Then waiting 2 hrs for a 5 minute visit from doctor. Then 2 weeks to get authorization from dr office to radiology to get CAT scan. And, not finished yet, 3 days to get someone to discuss CAT scan report. And after leaving 2 messages, I called again but dr not available at end of day. Needless to say I lost it. How much patience can you have for total incompetence!!!!! Then someone from office has the nerve to call me back and try to say i shouldn’t take it out on the girl that answered the phone. THEN……disconnect So do you still want to visit this group? Good luck if you do!!

The best of the best surgeons. I lost close to 250 pounds. However, if I could go back in time I would lose it without the use of surgery- nothing personal regarding the surgeon. My own reasons... My strong advice to you is this: get a lot of counseling before such an endeavor so you can uncover what led you to a point in time where you needed such a life-altering surgery. I have to admit there may have been staffing changes since the posting of negative comments regarding staff. My experience with everyone from the first person to answer the phone, to the CNA that walked me out of the building to my ride home was spectacular. I never felt disrespected by anyone. In fact, I had every question answered with kindness and detail despite how busy the office or unit appeared to be. I had every single milestone celebrated by staff and was encouraged every step of the way. Yes, I do wish Dr. Ahmad sat with me for hours on end answering every tiny question I had. The issue is he is the surgeon, he manages surgical concerns and procedures. He was very professional and helpful to me every time I met with him and his staff. The PAs, RNs, Nutrition, Phlebotomists, billing departments, so forth and so on that answer the detailed questions you have regarding their area of expertise. On a side note, I think many people confuse medical professionalism as arrogance. They are just not the same thing. I completed my procedure on the 13th of December, 2021. The unit staff were amazing. My surgical team was amazing. I have been home since the afternoon of the 14th. I am seeing results of my hard work and the hard work of the staff. I have zero discomfort. I am healing well. I had my first follow up appointment yesterday and despite the volume of patients in the waiting area, I was seen promptly and treated with the same regard and respect as always. I will recommend this practice over and over again. I understand how they earned their bariatric center of excellence designation. I have had a sleeve, gastric bypass and repair of a hiatal and umbilical hernia by Dr Ahmad. He is a wonderful doctor that makes you feel at ease! His knowledge and talent as an bariatics doctor and internist is superior! I would highly recommend anyone to see Dr.Ahmad and his associates! Each one of them are great, knowledgeable and highly recommended doctors!

I will forever be grateful for Dr. Anoosh and Dr. Ahmad. I had a sleeve gastrectomy on 3/20/20 performed by Dr. Anoosh. It saved my life and my quality of life has improved immensely. Dr. Ahmad is the Best! I highly recommend him. I just had my sleeve procedure a few days ago and all ready feel good, and I have lost 32 pounds in less then 3 weeks. If you follow the program he has you will succeed! So far it's been a great experience and will update in months to come.

I had my surgery 1/12/22... I was unsure if this would be right decision for me. My Nephew and my niece had it done and because of their results I made the decision. I feel really great right now I am following the plan and steps for my recovery and beginning to a much healthier life. I just finished my walk for part of my day 1.9 miles and I am not out of breath. I am very grateful for Dr.Ahmad and his wonderful staff for this new beginning. The nutritionist are also amazing and on call for any questions. It's a whole life change and will take hard work to get where I need to be but it will be worth it. I will be 50 this year and had a few health risk high blood pressure and diabetes. Since the surgery my blood pressure has been 135-139 and my sugar is under 100. So I have not had to take any of my medications for now which is great. My daughter just had the surgery as well 2 days ago. I am very thankful for the care I received and the support from my family and encouragement so far. There is a long road ahead of me but I am looking forward to the journey. 2 days post op and feel terrific. Noproblem walking or stairs. Hardest part is eating 60 grams of protein on small sip at a time .Dr Amad aMd crew did an amazing job.

This place Is absolutely no help I Went to this Pacific Sergeant and he’s checking me out and told me he sees no hernia Never did a CAT scan I highly recommend nobody to go to this place !! Place of hell they will let you stay in pain before they help you !!!! StAY AWAY

I recently had my gastric sleeve procedure done with Dr Ahmad and Dr Anoosh and they are the best ever. I felt safe and secure in my decision to change my life for the better and I am glad to have gone through the process with them. Dr. Ahmad and his staff are like family and they treat you like one of their own. Singing their praises forever!! THANK YOU SO MUCH

Very professional and understanding during the whole process. He answered all my questions no matter how many times I asked. There were no surprises.

The only reason I am giving three stars and not 5 is because the doctor has a horrible bedside manner they did a great surgery Dr. Anoosh was fantastic and they did great helping me manage after but after having surgery for a while I developed gurd and also have a hernia and when doctor Ahmad spoke to me about it he was incredibly nasty telling me this is my life and I just have to live with it and wouldn't even attempt to repair the hernia saying your insurance won't pay so it's not going to happen I feel this is an awful way to treat and speak to a patient no other options were ever explored he barely heard me out I was told this is my life and to deal with it extremely unprofessional The only reason I am giving three stars and not 5 is because the doctor has a horrible bedside manner they did a great surgery Dr. Anoosh was fantastic and they did great helping me manage after but after having surgery for a while I … More

The care from the entire team was amazing from start to finish. They fully explained and made sure I was 100% comfortable with the procedure. They were fully supportive and had answers to all questions!! Best in the Business!

I first met Dr. Ahmad and his staff in July. I am very much impressed with both his and the staff's professionalism, courtesy and understanding. There were many steps during the journey and the staff was always very helpful. I am 2 weeks out from my surgery and am more than pleased with such a caring Doctor. Thank you!

My complaint is financial. Ahmad works with your insurance and tells you how much out of pocket you will pay. It ended up being about 10 times more than he said. He said $500 but it was over $5000. Basically, he lied. I am not very well off so this was disheartening.

Had my sleeve on 10/4 by Dr. Agrawala. Surgery ran a bit behind but it wasn't a major inconvenience, it's usually expected. I did have to stay an extra night in the hospital due to having surgery late in the evening, but I valued that the team of surgeons wanted me to take more time to get my iv fluids in. Went back three days later for my post op... everything looked great! I'm pretty much out of pain now and currently down 22 lbs in 5 days!!! I am simply over the moon! you can already notice in my face I have lost weight. Thank you to Dr. Ahmad, Dr. Argrawala, and his team for helping me change my life!!! I don’t even know where to start. Dr. Ahmad and his team make everything smooth from the first appointment to discharge from the hospital. My journey began a week ago today Aug 25th was my procedure in which I had chosen the sleeve as I felt very comfortable and positive of the outcome.My experience has been completely amazing from the staff to the doctor's. This is my 3rd surgery with Dr. Ahmad and his staff, in almost 12 years. They've are been great!!! 8 days after my surgery and I'm feeling some pain, but nothing debilitating in any way. I follow the directions of the staff and am on the mend correctly.

Best bariatric center anywhere! I had a very complicated case and Dr. Ahmad and Dr. Agarwala both assisted me and my surgery seems to be successful thus far. His entire staff is excellent and friendly, including the nutrition nurses and staff. Love them and would recommend 1000 times over!

My story is too long so I'll keep it short and NOT SWEET. This man with his over-inflated ego almost KILLED ME 3 TIMES! He botched the bypass, after 3.5 hours of trying laparoscopically and failing, he did a full open, and took hours more to chisel all the massive amounts of scar tissue away from my stomach. I had TOLD HIM of my previous major abdominal surgeries and the scar tissue issue but this man with his over-inflated ego didn't take me seriously and said not to worry about it, I would be fine. Ummm, WRONG-O! Eleven days in the ICU, 3 full open surgeries within 6 days, waking up after the 3rd surgery, in the ICU ON A VENTILATOR, things kept going south. I was in Mather for THREE AND A HALF MONTHS!!!! When discharged I left with a wound vac, instructions on how to give myself heparin shots, a feeding tube with the port in my left side, visiting nurses twice a day for the first couple of weeks, down to once a day after that, then on my own after that. Contracted a highly infectious disease because my resistance was so compromised while still in the hospital. Because of this man's over confidence in his abilities, my life was ruined. I had to go into NY Presbyterian to have Dr. Marc Bessler fix me because Ahmad was afraid (his word!) to operate on me again! I was out of work for a YEAR AND A HALF, had to file for BANKRUPTCY, and am left with scaring, loss of my bellybutton, PTSD, lots of issue. His over-inflated ego caused great harm. Now I understand if someone tells him they have scar tissue issues, he won't operate on them. I had to pay a heavy price before this man woke up! Oh...this is out of sequence but it's important... While Ahmad was spending hours chiseling the scar tissue from around my stomach, he perforated the bowel, and didn't know it. I was going sour in the ICU, and rushed into the OR for exploratory surgery. That's when the dangerous damage was discovered! Every time I see him on the TV, telling people how wonderful his track record is, I want to punch him in his face. He's a LIAR! And his "sweet" wife Sema runs interference for him. As for trying to sue him for malpractice, forget about it. He knows just how to write up his reports to protect himself, and hides the truth. Oh, there's so much more!!!!!! But if my story saves even ONE PERSON FROM THIS MAN, IT WILL BE WORTH IT! I’m not sure what I expected but aside from anesthesia related things, recovery has been a breeze! All of the staff at Dr Ahmad’s have been incredible from day 1. Updated 11/24/20 DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE. YOUR TIME IS WORTH MORE THAN THE LACK OF ATTENTION THIS OFFICE OR DOCTORS GIVE YOU. The front end is awful. I was registered over the phone for a total of 14 minutes (there’s your wait friends!) no where in the world should it take 14 minutes to register someone, unless they are filling out paperwork, which I did not. I asked for dr Ahmad himself, as I saw him previously and I am familiar with him. Tell me why 2 weeks later, half an hour before my appointment, I get my text for telemed and it’s with an RN. Not even a doctor. I was unaware that RNs can do surgery or even evaluate people for one. I called, dr Ahmad isn’t even in! Why wasn’t I notified this prior to my appointment (you know, the appointment I made with de Ahmad?) This was not for bypass or lapban it is simple hernia, which honestly should have been a breeze considering what they do normally. Unfortunately I have moved on. This was a terrible experience. I waited for almost an hour to be brought in. Once I met Dr. Ahmad he was a very pompous man. I was coming for a follow up for my lap band since my last doctor left his practice. He told me that he used to not take others patients because he was a surgeon and very important and couldn't be bothered to deal with something like an adjustment. He said he finally agreed to allow it and delegate it a doctor under him so I was lucky to have my appointment. He explained I needed an endoscopy since he didn't want to inherit anyone's "mistakes" and it could only be done by his doctors since he doesn't trust anyone else. He told me the wait will pretty much always be 45 minutes to an hour because they were so busy. So basically I was told through words and attitude that I was lucky to have an appointment and he is unable to follow a schedule by being on time, his time is more valuable then mine despite having no idea what my job entails and that he is the best doctor around. At this point I thanked him for his time (someone had to be professional) and walked out. He may be an excellent doctor if you can get past his self-important grandiose behavior but I guess I won't be one the to find that out. This was a terrible experience.
