Aurelia Nattiv

Dr. Nattiv cared for me with both hip and knee issues for close to 10 years. I found her care excellent at all times. Having retired (from UCLA) and moved out of Los Angeles to a very rural area (closest hospital is 30 miles away) I miss her care.

She should lose her medical license. She diagnosed me with bursitis in my hip - but never did an X-ray. After pain escalated beyond endurance I tried to reach her via email and phone and got no response. I wound up in the emergency room. The following week she got back to me saying that she never looked at her messages or listened to voicemails and was 'sorry'. Unacceptable. I found a real orthopedist who correctly diagnosed my issue - because the first thing he did was take an X-ray. My hip was bone-on-bone which explained the severity of the issue and why the pain escalated. Dr. Nattiv is incompetent.

I would never recommend Dr. Nattiv. Not only she didn't tell me about the side effects of the shots she put in my knees, but she also didn't tell me that I could be nausea and didn't give any meds in case I was. I threw up and couldn't get up from the kitchen table, so I pushed my life alert button. Paramedics came and transported me to Tarzana Hospital. It was a terrible experience that could have been prevented with a little thoughtfulness.

I had a follow up telemedicine appointment with Dr. Native. She came on promptly, was very attentive, gave concrete helpful suggestions, and communicated clearly. Her assistant, Lillian, walked me through setting up the telemedicine app. I am very appreciative of being able to use the virtual visit.

I thought Dr. Nattiv was so caring and sweet. No. She's disorganized, every appointment is a waste. She did NOT give me good advice about my bone density. She likes to criticize and nit-pick aspects of my health that have nothing to do with her practice, and yet it took a ton of pestering for me to get her to recommend a calcium dose. She just won't get the super expensive lab tests done right. She's oppositional and covers it with those phones-baloney sweetness. It's unprofessional.

Mystified by her relatively low rating. I saw her last week ago (1/18/16) and she was outstanding: caring, thorough, insightful and considerate. In fact, I was her last patient of the day and she stayed late so that she could get the necessary x-rays to diagnose my problem. I was in considerable and constant discomfort due to a thigh/nerve issue and she prescribed exactly what I needed. Saw her at 5 p.m. and had relief by 8 p.m. Can't recommend her highly enough.
