Have had a great experience with Dr Bowles and his P A's Woolsey and Paul Goodrich. I am doing really well after my surgery.

The doctors were very clear, and very concerned that the best possible procedure be done and that I was aware of any thing that might complicate it.

They found the problem and performed the procedure on very short notice. Was off pain meds in about 3 days. Every detail was anticipated.

As a retired healthcare worker, I've seen a number of departments at work. The team, however, at Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery surpassed expectations. Team members, from the surgeon to medical assistant, listened to my concerns and answered them so that each interaction gave me renewed optimism in my recovery. Dr Bowls was not my Dr but my mom's. My mom had heart valve replacement surgery earlier this year that he did. She did all her follow up appointments,therapy, and took all her medicines. We thought she was doing really well that's what they kept saying. November 6 2017 she passed away because he never checked for scar tissue, it can happen and cause heart attacks in 20 percent of patients. Why was she not checked? We didn't know it could be a problem until she died. We are all upset and hurting
