Late fall of 2018 I had called this facility to require treatment for fibroids. As I was waiting to be seen and believe me waiting can sometimes be worth it, I was seeing a gyn for my fibroid. I chose this place when I saw Dr. Bhagavath was a reproductive endocrinologist who specializes in fibroids but like I said I had to wait before I could get my first consultation appointment ( 2/26/19). Now from the day I called and scheduled my first appointment to the waiting process I had gone through 2 gyns. I am a believer in advocating for one’s right to the best choice of health care and felt that while my previous gyns were good they just didn’t seem to be on my page.. and NO ONE no matter how good the dr or how bull headed and stubborn the patient can be wants a relationship like that.. my other gyns were pro hysterectomy with vertical incision.. no other options offered.. no UFE, no Acessa, No myomectomy.. no watch wait and see method.. just hysterectomy which at my age can be very scary to hear and I am very stubborn and do my research. So at my first appointment the good dr and I talked about what options I had as his patient, he ran a LDH and ordered an MRI.. ( none of my previous did that..and I trust a MRI over an Ultrasound any day), the visit was a good 45 mins and that was including any lab work and we planned to talk once my MRI was done and the results in the dr’s hands. In that time my previous gyn had felt I should see a gyn oncologist to make sure it wasnt a cancerous fibroid.. and that gyn too was pushing for a hysterectomy with no other options.. I listened to my gut, I prayed, I meditated, and I did all one would do to lead themselves to the right dr.. and as I waited to get my MRI and its results I kept my path in positive thinking and one day on a walk I prayed that I be led to the right dr for me and Dr Bhagavath’s office called and asked I come in the next day to discuss my MRI... I may have waited a month for the results but as I said sometimes waiting is worth it as I believe when we rush things can go bad and just like us.. drs too are people who live busy lives outside their career. I awaited those hours leading to my appointment and to only hear nothing but good things.. and that this Dr was willing to try the treatment for my fibroids I had been acquiring about since last year with my other gyns.... the wait was worth it. I will also add the office is very clean, the staff at the front desk are very kind and friendly, love the complimentary coffee/tea while you wait, the techs and nurses are kind and friendly too.. and the DR himself is a very kind person who doesn’t make you feel like your voice has no matter in your health.. he listens and tells you the good, the bad, the ugly.. and is very knowledgeable in his work.
