I asked for an appointment with Dr. Lesko to discuss laser treatment for my failed implant. After I came in, I was unpleasantly surprised to find out that I was scheduled with Dr. Van-Dinh who is not trained to do laser. I specifically asked the front desk for LANAP consultation but they decided that I shouldn't get it and didn't even tell me that they scheduled me with another dentist. I had consultation with Dr. Kassolis in Towson prior to it (1 of 3 dentists trained in LANAP in Baltimore) and he said that he'll do it. I wanted a second opinion as Dr. Kassolis doesn't like to answer questions and he is dismissive and pushy. Dr. Van-Dinh said that I was not a candidate for laser - the opposite of what Dr. Kassolis said. I still don't know which one was looking for more work - either Kassolis offered to perform laser on a patient who would not benefit from it, or Van-Dinh wanted to do a traditional invasive surgery because it's the only procedure she can do... Kassolis told me that the implants were loose and showed how to feel it by placing a finger on the gum above and grinding teeth - they definitely move when you do this test. Van-Dinh said that they were not loose. When I showed her Kassolis' method to feel them move she dismissed it and said that's not how you do it.... They do move though, and she was wrong. The worst thing was when she said that she will not save a natural tooth that lost part of the bone adjacent to the implant. She said that my perfect solution would be a bridge with 3 crowns. When I said that I want to save that tooth and see if bone grafting - that has to be done anyway - will help to stabilize the tooth, she said no. I'm sure that she would try to save that tooth if it was her mouth. After this bad experience I went back to the doctor who placed my implants 9 years ago. Even though he doesn't do laser, he said that he will definitely try to save the tooth and will see if additional bone grafting can be done during the surgery. Never said anything about replacing it with the bridge. I will update in a few months after bone grafting is done if my tooth was saved and if Van-Dinh can be trusted or she is replacing good teeth with bridges for no reason. I was really hoping to go with the less invasive laser treatment instead but I was not even given a chance for a laser consultation at Harbor Periodontics. I asked for it and they scheduled me with someone else without telling me. This is just wrong. Update: few months after the bone graft there is no need for a bridge and the adjacent teeth are stabilized. Getting treatment from that practice would be a terrible choice, so glad I walked out. Was referred to this office. They are very friendly and professional. The interior is luxurious. Everything is perfect.

I have had two dental surgeries done by Dr. Lesco and both have been very well done. Dr. Lesco and her staff are very professional, pleasant and super friendly, and they all make sure to give you all the needed information in a timely and straightforward manner. They are following up post-surgery and always very attentive. I felt in very safe and good hands during what is always a bit of a “nerve-wrecking” procedure. I came for a cosmetic revision to the gum around an implant that was done a few years ago that was beginning to recede. I did not meet with Dr Lesco, instead Dr. T worked on me. She was very nice and cared about doing a good job. They were fair with the associated costs.

She’s amazing! I’m so thankful for being referred to her.

Professional and competent. Did my implant. Never had to wait more than 5 minutes in the waiting room. Strongly recommend her.
