I was told this practice is notorious for poor communication. I can only agree wholeheartedly. My husband had surgery on Monday. Today is Wednesday. If he hadn’t called me in a fog of pain and medication, I’d still be wondering if he ever made it out of the surgery. They are scary and heartbreaking for the families.

I was going in on a followup to an annual Bi lateral scan of My popliteal arteries one particular day when there was a construction accident a crane toppled over and Dr Muhs was on the surgical team and ultimately spent hours trying to help the poor man, I heard of the emergency on the way in and Knew My appointment along with remaining others were going to ge cancelled that day... Maybe its because I had been an emergency a 1 am after suffering an Rupture of the largest artery in my body, I do know he was one of the team members who saved my life that night, and while we might have had minor issues back and forth from time to time nothing can change that he had a Large part in why I am here Typing this so many years later....

My first treatment was the worst experience ever , felt everything, and left me scarred. Until my 6" 3 husband came with me for the last two. Never again.

I am very impressed with Dr Muhs, his P. A. Nicole and the entire staff at Vascular Surgeons of old Saybrook. My procedure was explained and any questions answered to my satisfaction. The procedure was done accordingly. I rested The remainder of the day. I was amazingly full of energy the next day , as my legs were restored to former strength. Dr. Muhs did vein ablation in both my legs. I found him to be very skilled and effective. His office is well managed and provided good patient care. I highly recommend his practice.

Outstanding skill, knowledge and approach. Have had many vascular surgeons and without a doubt he is in a class by himself.

I went to see Dr Muhs for non surgical invasive treatment on my unsightly varicose veins. Dr Muhs and his staff were extremely knowledgement and professional and the procedure was a great success. I would definately use him again and recommend his clinic without hesitation.

After being jacked around and screwed over by a so called cardio expert at Yale, I was introduced to Dr. Muhs almost by accident (by another surgeon who I was seeing for something totally unrelated). Dr. Muhs saved my leg at least and possibly more. Could another physician/surgeon somewhere have done the same thing? Probably, but I have no desire to look elsewhere. I am ambulatory and happy. For his own reasons, Dr. Muhs left Yale and is now associated with Middlesex Hospital. I followed and will continue to be a supporter. Quality is becoming harder to find and due to his expertise, even my scars are minimal. He has my thanks.
