Dr. Domb and staff are at the top of the game! They will all go the extra mile to get you healthy and back to your active lifestyle!

Top notch, professional, listens, explains well. To quote Tina Turner “simply the best”.

Dr. Domb and his staff was so personable and kind. He explained everything step-by-step. Dr. Domb Read my MRI he was on point, he knew what exactly was going on with my pain and what protocol to take in my circumstance as far as my hip goes, to solve my pain!

Dr Domb brought in students and treated me as a test subject. With scheduling he told his team to encourage me to have surgery in his clinic that is out of network from my BC/BS which he knew. I asked them to ask Dr. Domb to do the surgery at St Alexius and he never answered them. He does experimental procedures that insurance doesn't cover so he requires a $5000 non-refundable deposit. When I explained it's far too expensive, their scheduler, Blanca, dismissed me and told me I was welcome to go elsewhere. This practice clearly is more concerned about the bottom line and not the best options for the patient. There are plenty of other doctors with far more empathy and concern that can do the same surgery.

It took an hour and a half of waiting before I saw Dr Domb. When he entered the room, he never apologized. No respect for my time.

I found Dr. Domb by researching my symptoms of my hip because no Dr in my state could diagnose me. Dr Domb reviewed all my imaging/records before scheduling me. We did the appointment and Dr Domb sent me for a hip anthogram , Dr Domb confirmed my diagnosis and scheduled surgery. Dr Domb performed a very complex labrum reconstruction with cadevar labrum all arthroscopy. First visit was a very long day because he meets with you, sends you for imaging a few miles awhile then you come back in afternoon for results. Dr Domb is definitely a ground breathing orthopedic surgeon and I'm so lucky I was able to have my surgery by Dr Domb.

Saw ma and fellow quickly , but proceeded to wait over 35 minutes for Dr. Domb and I heard them outside of my room laughing and talking as I waited. I was one of the last appointments. Was there total of 1 hour 45 minutes for a follow up appointment!

**YOU CAN GET THAT PRO ATHLETE TREATMENT, BUT YOU’LL NEED SERIOUS $$$ UP FRONT** Very disappointing experience. I was encouraged initially as Dr. Domb came recommended by a friend. His medical team is warm, they take the time to answer questions, and you truly do feel like you’re getting the treatment of a pro athlete as they advertise. But here’s the catch - they are not transparent about their pricing until you’re at the point of scheduling your surgery. And the price is significant, to the point of being exclusionary by design. When I was ready to schedule, and only after going through several hours of appointments, did his team inform me I’d need to put down a $5,000 deposit up front and sign a contract acknowledging I’d be unlikely to recoup this (as most insurance companies would not cover “experimental” aspects of the treatment). They also didn’t offer to help with any sort of back and forth with my insurance company, unlike most other providers I’ve seen. To respect their patients’ time and to not have the appearance of profiting off people who are in pain, this pricing policy should be communicated much earlier in the process (on their website, in informational materials at the initial intake, etc.). It’s nowhere to be found, and only comes up at the very end of the process. When it does, it leaves you saying to yourself… “ahhh, here’s the catch.” This experience broke my trust in proceeding with the team. I immediately sought out and found another provider with equally strong credentials and a much more affordable and transparent pricing policy (Dr. Shane Nho at Rush). So yes, you can get pro athlete treatment if you’re looking for it, but beware that you’ll need to have a pro athlete’s savings account and a decent amount of faith to move forward.

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Domb and his staff! I’m no stranger to surgery, but this practice goes above and beyond. From the level of care to the bedside manner it’s all a 10/10. My hip feels the best it ever has and my only regret is not seeing Dr. Domb sooner. Don’t let the cost deter you from this practice, they’re worth every penny!!! During a hip replacement surgery, a different surgeon discovered a detached gluteus medius muscle. He was unable to repair it which meant I would be unable to walk without a cane and a pronounced limp. Nine months later I heard of Dr. Domb. I highly recommend him for the difficult cases as well as the more routine. He never promised that his surgery would fix everything (I'd had a spinal fusion which could impede a full recovery) but he was quite optimistic that he could make it better. I've had a lot of physical therapy since the surgery and am so much better in spite of a second fusion in November. I'll be going back to therapy soon, and with a lot of hard work, am optimistic that I'll be able to walk unassisted by spring. Did both hips complete replacement. Quality of life increased to 110 percent if that's possible. None better!!!

Dr. Domb performed bilateral arthroscopic FAI surgery on our 21 year old son and we are so grateful for his expertise, skill and care! We feel confident that our son is in the best hands!

A very disappointing visit since I had seen him for over 7 months receiving PRP and physical therapy. I learned from Mayo Clinic this week that I have an infected hip and need the device removed and another temporary plus antibiotics. Seven months waisted as well as payment for a procedure that was given without checking for infection.

My hip is 100% better than it was before surgery. Dr. Domb and staff are fantastic. Everyone is courteous and professional. Thank you for making me pain free.

Friendly and efficient staff. They took the time to show and explain results, quickly addressing concerns and creating a care plan.

Dr. Domb is the best of the best. He did my hip surgery 5 years ago and have had no issues since. If your hesitate, don’t be. You will be taken care of from the moment you walk in there.

Three month post surgery check up with Dr Domb and I could not be happier! Repaired a severely torn labrum and made several other corrections. Greater range of motion and finally no pain after over four years. I no longer worry about my hip! Dr Domb is truly a magician! Thank you again!

Practice communications are well organized and Team members and doctor are courteous. Unfortunately, that all was negated by the fact i was kept waiting in the examination room FOR NEARLY TWO HOURS! When the doctor did arrive, he did not apologize. As a health care consultant whose job, in part, is to help practice teams show respect for patients at all times, this practice would clearly benefit from outside assistance. If a doctor is in an emergency or performing surgery, it's of course, understandable why he/she may be unable to keep to their schedule. When the doctor is having office hours, the only explanation is too many appointments booked in too short a timespan. I regret having to share this because otherwise as noted the office is professionally run and organized, and Dr. Domb has a solid clinical reputation, which is why I sought him out in the first place.

If I could leave zero stars I would. I had labral repair done in 2020. From my very first visit, the office was disorganized and full of very rude people. Dr Domb literally told me nothing about what my scans showed just that he’s the best and that’s all I needed to know. I should have run away then. He performed unnecessary procedures that were not covered by insurance (they require you to pay $5k out of pocket up front. NO other doctor requires this. This is on top of your deductibles etc). These procedures are heavily debated in the hip orthopedic world but he won’t tell you he’s doing them. 5 months post op my repair failed and caused a new tear. When I went back to the office he refused to do an MRA which would show his work had failed. (Oh when I went in he blamed me for my relapse. He literally said why did you mess up my work). I ended up having a second labral repair but due to the experimental work he did in my first surgery I am now going to need a hip replacement. I’m at peace with what happened to me but please run as far as you can from this doctor. He is a megalomaniac who is only out to make money. He will not care when it didn’t work and will just try to sell you PRP injections. Run away. There are so many wonderful orthopedic surgeons in chicago. You do not need him. Staff amazing on point . Very eficient ,professional , clean just on point. I might also add I m OCD and really hard to empress . After multiple trips to other doctors with no luck, Dr. Domb was able to figure out and fix the problem with both of my hips. He was friendly, knowledgeable, sensitive to my feelings and made me feel assured and confident when deciding to get hip surgery. Their facility is state of the art and each person I interacted with was kind and extremely competent. I came in needing surgery and they were able to schedule me right away and complete all pre-op appointments that day (blood draw, initial meeting with PT, pre-op appt. with fellow, CT scan, covid test). Came in for my 6yr checkup for reconstructive hip surgery. I have had a great experience and recovery with Dr. Domb. I had been to 2 prior Orthopaedic doctors that told me everything from I was just to tight to it’s normal wear and tear. The pain was not normal and Dr. Domb to great detail care of me and fixed it. I am able to play and keep up with my 2yr old granddaughter. I am so thankful for Dr. Domb and his empathy and cutting edge techniques. As soon as Dr. Domb walks in the room he makes me feel like the most important person in the world. Such a great personality not to mention his world-class skills and knowledge as a surgeon.

As long as everything goes perfect he is a good Dr .... the problem is if there is any complications you are SOL .... as the other reviewers had noted he has alot of charisma - but doing 12 hips in a day doesn’t leave room for error and when there has been error or less than perfect your left on an island to try to figure out how not to be crippled

We went to Dr. Domb for our 18 year old daughter and the surgery did not work. He aggressively wanted to repair her other hip even while her 1st surgery did not work. Found another doctor who has now fixed his first surgery and repaired her other hip (labrum tears). Happy to say she’s now doing great. Our new doctor had completely different protocols as well. Dr. Domb is the best surgeon and doctor in the business. The same medical he provides to top tier athletes he provides to the everyday person such as myself. I would highly recommend him.
