I think Dr. Bonnie Woo used to be A caring and patient doctor, but not any more. She treated my mom like little kid without any respect. And she didn't provide good solution to her problem. You just don't feel she care about patient's pain. I wish she can pbecome A good doc again.

"I went to see Dr. Woo for cataract. First time she was very kind. She told me that besides cataract I need to do laser for narrow angle or I will get glaucoma or blind and never heal. She also said laser is very simple and I can drive home afterwards. I google online, it is not like what she said. Even her office staff told me that after surgery I could not drive home myself. I was told by other two doctors I can just do cataract surgery to solve both both problems. Since I did not do laser next time I went to see her she was very cold and rude. She said do not wait till blind then go to see her. I asked how about do cataract surgery? She said no, laser first then cataract surgery. So she can earn double fees and I suffer two times?

I went there to see Boonie Woo and I can tell she is not a caring doctor. She does not have patient and got horrible attitude. My Dad asked a simple eye related question and she simply respond with "no" and didn't even offer any explanation nor suggestions. Horrible experience.

I was referred to see Dr. Bonnie Woo back in year 2016 by the San Gabriel Valley Medical Center after a black line appeared on my left eye one day. I highly recommend Dr. Bonnie Woo because she was the "only" ophthalmologist, who was willing to take the "high risk" to replace the lenses on both of my eyes. My right eye's cataract was at stage 4, and my left eye's cataract was at stage 2. No ophthalmologists were willing to take the "high risk" to operate on both of my eyes after I had been wearing many pairs of very thick eye glasses for 50+ years, except Dr. Bonnie Woo, who was very patient to explain in details about the poor condition of both of my eyes before and after the surgeries. After the cataract surgery of my right eye on 11/20/2017 and the cataract surgery of my left eye on 1/29/2018, I have been able to read without wearing any thick eye glasses anymore. I continue to see Dr. Bonnie Woo every six months for checkups. As always, Dr. Bonnie Woo is very attentive and answers whatever questions that I have in details. This office has a very bad service. Front desk girl has bad altitude. I have insurance and met deductible. So I only pay 10% of co payment. She asked me pay 10% in advance. I said I don't receive the bill and how do I know 10% is how much. They can send me the 10% bill after insurance paid. However, the girl won't do that. I changed doctor. There are so many eye doctors in this market.

Dr. Woo operated cataracts surgery for both my eyes. I was very pleased about the result and I also like her way to treat patient so I took my parents there for regular check. She found a hole in my dad's eye and referred us to see Speciality. The first speciality Dr. did not see it at all.We went back to see Dr.Peter Ho Win. Dr.Win fixed the hole by laser. He said that Dr. Woo is a very good doctor. Dr.Woo is the best, can be trusted, detailed or she would not find a such small hole. Thank you.

I didn't really get to meet Dr. Woo personally, because I was stopped by the girl I called in for appointment. She was very impolite and impatient. I was trying to schedule an appointment, but she told me the earliest one is in August which I really can't wait for that long. Then I asked if there's any other time available, she interrupted my question without me even finishing the question, which I thought was very rude and disrespectful. Her bad attitude really offended me.

I called in for appointment, the girl who answered the phone was very very impolite, she did not listen to what I said but impatiently asked for my insurance information, when I said hold on I need to get the info, she hang up on me. After she checked my insurance, she said the next available appointment is in July which I can't wait for that long. I don't understand why they can't tell the patient how long they need to wait for the appointment before asking for the insurance information.
