My son was on a waitlist for a year and half and after a much awaited visit we met with Dr.Hood. Let’s just say his bedside manner is that of a rock. I’m very surprised he is a pediatric specialist, he would be great working with highly disfunctioning mental health patients because his lack of concern and empathy is ridiculous. He asked my son two questions and after thirty minutes prescribed medication with no further assessment or testing. He did not answer my questions and did not explain his decisions beside listing his credentials and saying well I’m the specialist. I left in absolute tears and refuse to ever see him again. Do not waste your time. Switched doctors immediately.

We found Dr. Hood's communication lacking to say the least. He met us for evaluation and treatment of our daughter who was having behavioral issues and some autism looking set backs/sensitivities. He did not introduce himself, took us back to a room, sat at his desk and stared at us. No, "what can I help you with?" I had to be the first to speak. He only spoke to our daughter twice and made fun of her - which upset her. He suggested medication w/no further eval or DX. Our next apt was the same.
