Bradley T Tinkle

Waited awhile for answers to our questions about POTS for our daughter on this medical journey. We will start implementing the suggestions. Really hoping it helps because each day is a battle she has been fighting. Glad to now have Dr. Tinkle on board to manage this fight of dizzy, migraine, nausea, amongst many other issues. Hoping and praying she will be in school and the sports she loves. Thank you.

Dr. Tinkle was wonderful. He spent so much time with us and answered every question we had. He made the EDS diagnosis for our daughter less scary and more prepared for the future. I would rate him a 5 and am looking forward to seeing him again in 6 months! Some of his staff was less then friendly. When I started calling months ago to get an apt set up I was spoken to rudely and even hung up on while I being transferred. It happened more than once so I don’t think it was an accident. Also, the staff received our medical records and never called me to schedule the appointment it was only after I called them to follow up on paperwork delivery was I able to schedule the appointments.

Like many of others have said, I also found Dr. Tinkle to be incredibly dismissive. I had a prior diagnosis and was looking for genetic testing to help give more clarity about how to manage my symptoms and better understand potential future health complications. Rather than doing anything helpful Dr. Tinkle instead spent the appointment claiming that my previous doctor was not qualified to make diagnoses and refused to provide any alternative diagnoses or referrals for management of my symptoms. Compared to my previous doctor, he seemed very unfamiliar with the nuances of connective tissue diseases and whenever I asked him who I should see he insisted that he didn't know and couldn't help.

I have had 4 different cancelled appointments for my daughter to be evaluated for EDS. We are traveling from out of state for the appointment. Each time they cancel the new appointment is scheduled for at least 2 months out. The office stated our second appointment was cancelled because Dr. Tinkle didn't want to see new patients to the practice in the afternoon. This is extremely frustrating as I have to cancel and reschedule hotel reservations. Twice I was not even spoken to about the change in appointment, I either received an email that it was changed or a letter in the mail with the new date and time.

After 3 years of working to get to this point for our daughter and going in hoping we would find someone willing to help us on A recovery path to have, for him to immediately walk in the room like we we’re wasting his time, then tear down the doctors that helped us to get to this point so we could see him as if they were stupid and run frivolous tests. I have never been treated so poorly as A parent trying to give their child the best possible life based on the diagnosis of illness she has as I have had with this dr. Sorry for wasting your time and I will never bother you again, we are moving on to doctors willing to help, listen, and work with us versus dismissing us With A good luck. I’m my opinion I would never recommend him to anyone.

My family appreciates the time Dr. Tinkle devoted to answering our questions and sharing his knowledge, strategies to implement, and referrals and resources to further meet the needs of our daughter.

Dr. Tinkle is one of the best specialists I’ve ever had. He is blunt and straightforward but also compassionate and caring. I am incredibly thankful for all of the time and thought Dr. Tinkle dedicates to my care.

Dr. Tinkle is by far one of the best physicians I have ever seen. He is knowledgeable, caring, and does his best to advocate for his patients and all those with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. It is very rare to have a physician to make you not feel rushed and to genuinely answer all of your questions and concerns. Great experience. I was feeling POTSy when I arrived and Dr. Tinkle came into the room with Saltsticks and water for me. Talk about a doctor who really gets it about EDS and Dysautonomia. Good thorough meeting to discuss many current issues and I’m looking forward to a follow-up.

I have never been made to feel so little by a doctor. he treated me like i was stupid from every response i gave him, belittled my problems, made me feel like i was wasting his time, and did not even take the time to introduce himself or smile once. he was extremely rude and i left with no answers at all and left crying my eyes out. do not recommend this "specialist" dr tinkle at all. i feel sorry for anyone that has to see him and be treated like you're wasting his time. For our first visit, Dr.Tinkle was not very welcoming. He walks in, says hi, says his name, sits down, and says what are you here for? No smile. And he is a pediatrics doctor? He did not make us feel comfortable at all.

Fast and excellent service. Dr. Tinkle is very good at explaining things so my young daughter can understand. Recommend him to anyone with a genitic issue.

I have never had a doctor of any specialty take the time to listen to me and explain everything the way Dr. Tinkle did. Walking away from his office was the first time I felt I was truly going to be taken care of. He is no longer at Cincinnati Children’s; we saw him in Indianapolis. Once he found out we were Cincinnati Children’s he became arrogant, expressed his reasons for leaving, and rolled his eyes when I stated who my daughter’s rheumatologist was. He told us that Ehlers-Danlos is only recognized as a physical condition in the US and everywhere else it is considered a neuropsyciatric disorder. He stated that patients should not be labelled as EDS because insurance will not cover anything. He also arrogantly said that the only physical therapists who are knowledgeable about EDS are those he has personally trained. Our referral was for further testing for vascular type EDS due to a family history, but he dismissed that in the first 30 seconds of the appointment and we left without testing. We will not see him again, nor would I recommend him to anyone else, especially if you or your child is a previous Cincinnati Children’s patient.

Beware- if coming in for am evaluation for or treatment for EDS, if for whatever reason Dr Tinkle looks at your intake paperwork and decides you are a waste of his time, he will not bother to thoroughly examine or treat you.
